What a lovely month November was! Our local methodist church invited us to join them for an afternoon of quizzes, chat and cake.

We spent a lovely afternoon sharing memories by way of making collages with our residents.

We were visited by curdridge School, who helped us with making cookies, decorating cakes and writing cards

Now, time to let the festive season begin.... we’ve already headed to the shops to start our Christmas shopping!

What a busy month July has been!

Outings this month have included Wimbledon, a local WI market, Priddy hard, antique shops, garden centres, honey tasting at the local market and picnics.

Activities have included card making, cake decorating, table top games, balling tennis and a visit from the local biker!

On top of all of this we’ve continued to enjoy our weekly yoga class and a relaxing afternoon of saxophone sounds.

June was another busy month!

Our residents have enjoyed meals out, sea side trips, cinema visits and even a visit to a Japanese garden! Other outings have included Hamble tea room at Wickham, Romsey Abortorium and the sweet shop (again lol)

We also enjoyed lots of gardening in the huge grounds of The White House and even picked our first strawberries of the year!

We celebrated D Day in style... although Vera Lynn doesn't have anything to fear from Laura's singing!

We also celebrated everyone during Pride month.

In May we continued planting our vegetables in the hope of a bumper crop this year.

We were visited by an art teacher, Carol, who led a very successful session using chalks.

We made the most of the sun with trips to the waterfront and countryside.

We celebrated V E day, Eurovision, and enjoyed a great concert at the Jubilee Hall.

Move over Mo Farrah and Usain Bolt, TWH Ladies have only gone and done it again!

It was a gloriously sunny day, but disappointing to see that the turn out of competitors was significantly less than last year, especially given the time and effort that the organisers put in to running the event and all of the volunteers that support you on the day.

A MASSIVE thank you to all of those of you who have already supported us by donating to this amazing charity, it really is appreciated. Last year, as a team, we were able to raise an incredible £1000. So far, we have raised £765, and it would be brilliant if we could raise as much again this year as we possibly can. The Just Giving link is still open, so if you are able to support us by donating that would be amazing.

Anna, Siobhan, Nicole and Caitlin did amazingly well and ran the 5k but sadly that means we don’t have any pictures of them.

What a busy month April was!

Trips this month have included tea rooms, exhibitions, milkshake stops, the cinema, an antique shop and the seaside.

In house activites have included baking, knit and natter and a calligraphy class.

We enjoyed an afternoon of saxophone followed by a lovely cheese and wine tasting session.

And, although they were tap dancing to singing in the rain, we enjoyed laughing in the sun when a great local tap group visited.

To top it all off, is a picture of a beautiful cake that our very own talented Rosanna made for one of our lovely residents and his visitors.

Sadly, many of us, either personally or our loved ones, family or friends, are likely to be diagnosed with Cancer at some stage of our life; we all know someone whose life has been touched by Cancer. A diagnosis of cancer can so cruelly affect not only the person with the diagnosis but also those who love and care for them, in so many ways. Cancer Research Uk work tirelessly with dedication to provide support to people when they are most at their time of need, whether physically, mentally or financially as a direct result of a cancer diagnosis.

For the second year running, The White House will be supporting Cancer Research Uk. Return TWH Ladies! Siobhan Spaven (our Training Manager), Emma Linsdell (our Compliance Manager), Anna Linsdell (Emma’s oldest daughter) Steph Reed (our Quality Assurance Manager) and Emma Hampton (Registered Manager). Together, as a team, we will be taking part in the Wi******er 5k Race For Life on Sunday 19 May, and we will be looking to raise as much money for Cancer Research as we can. We have a donation page which is https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/twh-ladies-2 and we would welcome your support and any donations that you are able to make to this amazing and worthy cause.

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.

Just under half way through the month and we’ve continued to be busy!

Trips that we have enjoyed so far have included; The Hamble, the local sweet shop and the Pirate pasty cafe!

Move over Mary Berry! A group effort during our home skills session led to some delicious treats!

A few games of tin can alley brightened the mood on a rainy overcast day.

One of our lovely families recently joined us to celebrate a special occasion. We welcome families to join us at any time to either join in with our activities or to come and celebrate special days with their loved ones.

Some of our outings enjoyed this month have included meals out, museums and exhibitions.
