Now that we have all recovered from this year's show we've had time to pull together a little round up. To start with... can you remember a sunnier show in recent years🌞?

🐮Cattle classes were very strong, especially the cross suckled calf section where we had to split the class into two, one for bullocks and one for heifers to allow everybody and the judge a better chance to see the tremendous quality on show.

🐏The Blackfaced sheep section was as strong as anywhere in the country, especially with the hardy hill type in evidence. The Cross sheep section has increased steadly year on year, with the likely need for a Cheviot section in the future as well as Native and Continental classes. One stand out at Dalmally Show this year was the tremendous quantity of "young" sheep breeders that show such enthusiasm for their individual breeds, we are absolutely delighted with everybody that showed at Dalmally Agricultural Show this year.

New for this year we're our children's events, we had traditional races which included the egg and spoon race and a sack race. Both the races and treasure hunt received great support and we want to say a huge thanks to all that took part... maybe we need some adult races next year!

🎪Entires in the main tent we're amazing, the veg exhibits were quite something and the village definitely has an abundance of bakers. Crook and Sticks were incredible - what skill and craftsmanship were on show. There were over 130 entries in the photography section this year, it just seems to grow in popularity year on year📷 The home industries section never ceases to amaze with the wonderful creations on show and how can we forget the children's section, there were some very artistic creations on show!

Our Farmyard tent was a great hit for all, there were 3 day old chicks to hold and a range of different chickens and quail to look at. Friends of the show kindly brought in their goats, we had a Blackface tup, Doughnut the pet lamb and not to forget a very pink Cocktail the Valais Blacknose.

Dalmally golf club were a welcome addition this year with their stand, the local fire engine and police tractor and quad bike were a hit! It was great to welcome back the classic car club along with Mid Argyll pipeband. Flyball provided constant entertainment and amusement throughout the day and the dog show once again had a very large entry with some beautiful dogs on display, the terrier race as always was keenly contested and brought its unique brand of thrills and spills. The gun dog display and the ferret races made for some great entertainment.

Shinty returned to the Dalmally Show this year and what a fantastic tournament it was with great commitment shown by all who took part. The final tie was a thriller between Inveraray and Kyle's. The teams were tied 2-2 at full time and even after extra time the teams could not be separated, Kyle's went on to win after a nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out! We look forward to welcoming back all the teams next year to do it all again.

🌟The show would not be possible without the great committee that we have, the volunteers who help out on show day and our amazing sponsors across the show and not forgetting everyone who attends and exhitibits on the day who make future shows possible.

Our President, John MacPherson would like to express his thanks once again to everyone for all their time and effort. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
