✨️Roo✨️

First day back and my second visit with Roo.

Roo was having issues when out walking with barking at people, and dogs he couldn't say hello too.

I am please to report that he has done really well over the past few weeks and he walked around beautifully. His loose lead is brilliant, he is engaging and communicating wonderfully with his humans. His walks are much more enjoyable for everyone to.

He still has some work to do on his barking at visitors, however with limited guests that is going to take longer for him to work on and it has only been a few weeks.

All in all great progress for this handsome boy 🤩

Cancer is a word no one wants to hear, yet it touches the lives of so many—humans and animals alike. Today, on **World Cancer Day**, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible strength of those who have faced this disease, including the many beloved dogs who battle it too. 🐶🎗️

Dogs bring us so much joy, unconditional love, and companionship, yet they are not immune to this awful disease. Every year, thousands of dogs are diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatments like chemotherapy, surgery, and medication, all in the hope of giving them more time with the families who adore them. Their resilience is incredible, their fight inspiring. 🐕💪 Anyone who has ever cared for a dog with cancer knows the emotional toll it takes—hoping, worrying, cherishing every moment. ❤️🐾

For those who have walked this journey with their dogs, whether still fighting or having said goodbye, my heart is with you. 💔 Their courage, their love, and their spirit never fade. We remember them, we honour them, and we continue to fight for better treatments and early detection.

Cancer has also touched my own life in ways I never expected. My husband was diagnosed in 2020 and thankfully won his battle, being cancer-free since 2021. 💙 More recently, I received my own diagnosis, facing the whirlwind of tests, treatment, and surgery. It has been a tough road, but I remain hopeful and grateful for the care and support I’ve received. Today, more than ever, I understand the importance of awareness, early detection, and the strength it takes to fight. 🎗️

Cancer affects us all—people, pets, and families. Let today be a reminder to cherish the time we have, to support those in the fight, and to never take health for granted. Hug your dogs a little tighter, take that extra walk, and celebrate the love they bring into our lives every single day. 🐾💛

🖤A Personal Message🖤

I don’t usually share private or personal information, but I feel this is something you need to know. Over the last two years, I’ve been quietly navigating a difficult journey with my health. While I tend to keep my personal life private, I wanted to take a moment to explain my recent absence so my clients and followers understand why I’ve been less active online.

In October 2024, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer after a long period of unexplained health challenges. What started as abdominal pain led to months of tests, scans, and consultations, often with inconclusive results.

On January 5th, I underwent major surgery to remove the cancer. Recovery has gone well, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support of the amazing team at the Colorectal Department of North Tees Trust, who have guided me every step of the way.

I'm now happy to share that while the surgery was successful, I will need to undergo some chemotherapy treatment in the months ahead. However, I am feeling positive for the future and focused on moving forward.

I am pleased to say that 😃I am returning to work today😃 and looking forward to getting back to what I love—helping you and your dogs. Over the coming months, I will be focusing on,1-2-1 training, Puppy and Progression Classes, as well as providing monthly workshops for varying training. These workshops will be standalone sessions rather than longer courses, offering flexible and engaging training opportunities.

I will continue working as normal, but there may be times when I need to reschedule appointments if I’m feeling unwell. Additionally, due to my treatment, my immune system will be lower than usual. If you or anyone in your household has a cough, cold, or virus, we will need to reschedule to ensure my health isn’t compromised.

Thank you all for your understanding and support—it truly means the world to me. I’m excited to be back and can’t wait to see you and your dogs again!
