Nelson loves his new little sister so much and can’t wait to introduce her to all his frens! 🤩 even though she embarrassed him a little on their first walk together with her incessant wailing 🤣 I’m sure Josie will get much better at enjoying her walkies with the doggos! 🐾

And that’s it! My very last walk with the gang! 😢🐾❤️

Bertie, Oscar and Nelson had a lovely sniffy walk in the field, we tried to take it slow in the sun but Oscar and Bertie had a good game of chase and played so nicely together! 🤩

The rest of the walk was nice and shaded with plenty of exciting sniffs and a few water stops with some muddy crossings 🙈 sorry for the muddy paws! 🐾🤣 but they loved keeping cool in the stream 💦

I will miss these little doggies so much but not nearly as much as Nelson will miss them! 🐾❤️

My last walk at Sammy's Field with Skye's Place and this crazy bunch 😢🐾🤪

We really did have a crazy walk to go out with a bang! 🤣 I feel like a lot of the photos look like those jigsaw puzzles where there’s like 100 comic things happening all at once 🤣

Luna came along for one last rough and tumble with the gang, and she got a lot more rough and tumble than she bargained for! 🙊🤣 all the boys thought she was great fun so she had Nelson, Zack and Jack to fend off 🤣 but she loved it!

Little Lola had a lot to say about all the rough and tumbling 🤣 she can be seen in the photos egging them all on and really getting up close! Nothing like the old scared Lola 😎🤣

Sky was as brave as ever and tackled Nelson in the middle of a rough and tumble with the other dogs, she wasn’t scared or nervous of any of the other dogs, even when they were being very big and boisterous 😁 she really just got involved and had a great play and a run around with the lot of them! 🤩

It’s been so good to see these doggos come out of their shells and grow to be so brave and social and enjoy these plays so much! 😄 I will miss them all so much 😭🙈🐾

Lunch time walkies at Sammy's Field with Oscar, Bertie, Gus and Nelson 😁🐾

It was quite warm today so we headed straight up to the pool and Oscar walked right into the water quite happily! 😃 💦

Gus was dive bombing in after toys and Nelson thought it was just a big old water bowl 🤣

Bertie didn’t fancy getting his paws wet but quite enjoyed lying on the wet stones in the shade ☺️

In between dips this lot insisted on running around playing chase! Oscar and Gus had a good little rough and tumble, and right at the end of our walk Bertie joined in a huge game of speedy chase!

So we had a pit stop at the watering hole on our way to the car and Gus tried to swim in the water bowl 🤣🙈💦

What a wonderful walk we had to start the week! 🤩🐾

Gus, Sky and Nelson joined the doggos from Skye's Place at Sammy's Field this morning and had an absolutely amazing time!!! 🤪

It was so good to see Sky over come her shyness and really get involved with the rest of them, even the new dogs! She climbed up the ramps, jumped over the poles, drank from the pool full of splashing pups and told the boys off when she was sick of them sniffing her, good girl!! ⭐️🐾

Nelson made best friends with Tracey’s Zack, and they had the best rough and tumble! 🤪🥴

Of course Gus wanted to join in and be one of the big dogs so he tried his best to get involved but was mostly over looked due to his size 🤣

He did find someone his own size to play with and chased Red for the ball and pinched it off him a few times 🤣 they had a lovely run around together trying to keep hold of the ball 🤣

Everyone was in and out the pool and up and down the obstacles- even Gus finally managed to jump up onto the tunnel himself 🤣🤩

Walkies today with Oscar, Sky and Nelson at Sammy's Field with the Happy Paws Darlington Dog Walking, Day Care and Home Boarding Girl Gang! 🥰🐾

Oscar and Nelson were a bit overwhelmed at first when suddenly surrounded by 7 girls 🤣😱 they weren’t quite sure what to do with themselves 🤣🤪 but Oscar soon sniffed our young Nellie and followed her around the rest of the walk 😂 he even followed her straight into the pool! It seems he’s starting to enjoy the water a bit more now! 💦😁 but he couldn’t care less about the pupcakes or toys when he had his eyes set on Nellie 😍🤣

Nelson took quite a fancy to Maggie but she managed to shake him off 😎 he on the other hand, forgot all about girls and manners and personal space when the pupcakes came out 🤣🙈 he even managed to pinch one right out my hand! 😱

I think Sky quite liked being on a walk with so many girls! She seemed so relaxed and confident to dip her paws in the pool and climb up on all the obstacles 🤩😁

Such a fun day out with the doggos! 🐾🥳

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SKY! 🥳🧁🐾 🎉

This special girl celebrated her first birthday today with us at Sammy's Field! 🎉🥳

She had lots of fun with all the girls from the Happy Paws Darlington Dog Walking, Day Care and Home Boarding gang, and plenty of games of chase with Nelson! 🤩

She has come such a long way since her first walk with me and it makes me SO HAPPY to see her enjoying herself so much in a big group, and exploring new things like the pool, climbing up on the tunnels, and over the obstacles 😃

She absolutely devoured her birthday pupcake 🧁 🤤 and the other pups were all very happy to celebrate with pupcakes of their own! 🥳 what a birthday pawty! 🥳🐾 it certainly looks like Sky loved her pawty and had plenty of fun on her birthday! 🐾🎉🥳

Joining Ted on his last walk today at is Lola, Gus and Nelson along with the pack!

Lola was a bit camera shy and barely made an appearance on camera, but boy oh boy she made herself heard over the big noisy boys! 🤣 she certainly had a lot to say to them!

Ted, Gus and Nelson had the greatest time splashing about in the pool and it was a job getting them to leave! 🤣

Gus loves the jumps now and just jumps over the bar without being asked now 🤣 Ted’s not quite got the hang of it and just runs through them 🤣🙈

Lots of swimming and fun and games and 4 sleepy doggies now! ☺️🐾

Ted’s last walk with me today! 🐾😭

He’s always been the best example and comes back (for a treat) every time he is called!! 🤩

Today he absolutely loved being in the pool and looked at me with complete confusion when I tried to call him out of the pool area 🤣 “what do you mean? Why can’t I just stay here and swim the whole time?!” 💦💦

He’s very good at getting me to throw the ball, but slightly less enthusiastic about racing the other dogs to fetch it 🤣 but as soon as someone’s got it he’s on me straight away to throw it again 🤣🤣

We’ll miss you Ted! ❤️🐾 enjoy your holidays next week! And good luck on being a big brother! I’m sure you’ll be great! 🌟

Sooooo many photos from today Swim at Sammy's Field 🤣💦 I say swim not walk because we spent most of our time in the pool ☀️💦🤩

Nelson and Gus were straight in the pool, Sky was happy just hanging around the edges, and Oscar wouldn’t go anywhere near the water until the girl he fancied dived right it 🤣 then he realized he had to get his paws wet to keep following her 🤣😍

Gus did some excellent snorkeling 🤿 big splashes and brilliant fetching! He practiced his jumps a bit too but everyone was far too excited for him so I couldn’t get many photos! 🤪

Sky had a go at the jumps too and did a great job! She tried making new friends but hung out around the humans when she felt shy. She didn’t fancy a swim but quiet enjoyed getting a splash down to cool off! 💦

Oscar took quite the liking to young Nellie the Labrador and wouldn’t leave her alone! 🤣 so he’s not around for most of the photos as he was too busy chasing tail! 😍🤣 but it was good to see him brave the water for love! What a hero 🤩

Gus and Nelson had a great walk at Sammy's Field with Skye's Place and her doggos 😁😎

I had two flying dogs who did really well on the jumps! Took Gus a few goes but after watching Nelson he got the hang of it! I had to lower the bar for his little legs so Nelson had it pretty easy! 🤣

But Gus’ favorite part has to be the pool and boy oh boy did he make a splash! 🤣 💦 he absolutely loves jumping into the pool and is doing really well at fetching pool toys! Pretty handy 😜 🐾

Lunch time walkies with Ted, Oscar and Nelson 🐾😌

We had a very chilled and quiet walk through the woods where there’s not much space to get all hot and bothered 🥵 but as soon as we walked passed the field this lot could resist a little run around and a rough and tumble 🤣

After a stop for a water break 💦 we walked through some lovely grassy buttercups and poor Ted just wanted to enjoy himself frolicking on his back in the flowers but the others thought this was an invitation for the next rough and tumble 🤣🤣

What a wonderful time we had at Sammy's Field this morning with Skye's Place, Lola, Ted, Sky and Nelson ☀️🤩🐾

Lucky we went early when it was nice and cool because there’s no stopping this lot! 🤪🌪

Sky was amazing and had so much fun meeting all the doggo’s and playing with everyone! She is so confident now 🤩

Lola made friends with the little ones but still did lots of running and chasing with the big dogs!

Ted was in his element! In and out the pool, rolling in the sunshine and playing with his friends! 😁 happy as Larry! Pity he couldn’t be bothered to turn around for the group photo 🤣

Lunch time walkies with Ted, Oscar and Nelson 🐾☀️

We bumped into our friends Tilly and Pippa at the river so they all had a lovely long swim together! 🤩 💦 even Oscar got his paws wet 🤣

Then we took a nice shady walk while Oscar desperately tried to start a game of chase! Unfortunately the other two were far too interested in the sniffs to play...

But we finished off with another swim to cool down and Oscar actually had such a wonderful time splashing about! 💦 but Ted was the swimming champion and really didn’t want to leave!

They were all so so good with such excellent recall that I came home with a completely empty treat bag! ⭐️🐾

Ted, Oscar and Nelson had a lovely time pretending to be tractors in the fields 🚜 🙊 Nelson started it and stood their waiting for his friends to chase him through the crops 🤣🙊

Oscar is always up for a game of chase and tried to keep the games going!

Ted didn’t fancy it, he just wanted to enjoy the lovely warm sunshine on his belly! ☀️

We ended off with a little dip in the duck pond to cool off 🤣 sorry ducks! 🦆

A lovely morning walk at Sammy's Field with Skye's Place and the gang! With me is Ted, Nelson, Gus and little Lola 🐾

Photo’s are a bit chaotic I’m afraid as everyone was so busy running and chasing balls 🎾 and chasing each other, and barking at us for not having more balls to throw and splashing in puddles and treat seeking and more barking for more treats please and swimming and just ALL THE FUN AND GAMES! 🤩🐾

Lola started off with a good long run after Jasmin, but soon realized her little legs couldn’t keep up 🤣 so she did some good climbing and posing with Gus 🥰

Gus was obviously in all the water whether it was a puddle or the pool 💦 just happiest when wet 😌 he’s also coming along in a game of fetch and occasionally drops the ball to be thrown again! I don’t blame him for hanging onto them though, they were very in demand with today’s crowd!

Ted had a hard time hanging onto a ball as the others were too quick and pinched them off him 😢 but this didn’t stop our Ted! He was determined to play fetch the good old proper way and kept bringing any balls he could find back! He worked hard and deserves a good long rest this afternoon! 💤

Nelson played along a bit until we got the big ball out ⚽️ then he was in his element and couldn’t care less what anyone else was up to 🤣🐾

Lunch time walkies with Ted, Oscar, Gus and Nelson 😎🐾

We managed to avoid most of the rain but the boys did find all the puddles 🤣 obviously Gus went full on snorkeling in the puddles 🙊

Ted was an excellent treasure hunter and managed to find at least 4 forgotten toys for everyone to play with! 🤩

Unfortunately Nelson and Gus didn’t fancy sharing these so whenever they had one of the toys the others had to chase them round the field trying to get a chance with the treasure 🤣 it was great fun to watch! And ensured they were all thoroughly tired out at the end of the walk! 😅

So many snoozie pups on the way home! 😌💤🐾

Today’s lunch time walk felt more like a glam photoshoot with these two than a walk! 🤩

I got so many tongues out, waggily tails and big happy smiles! 😃

We hadn’t got far before Gus started digging to Australia! 🤣 I think this is why he was so happy for the rest of the walk!

I also caught a pic of Nelson mid roll 🤣 but he was just so happy to be out in the sunshine with his friends! ☺️🐾

The rest of the time they had a sniff, a little rough and tumble and a dip in the muddiest puddles! 💦 but they were always ready to pose for a treato I mean photo! 🤣

A good day out for the boys ☺️🐾

Morning walkies with the girlies 🥰

There were plenty of puddles at the field which delighted both Luna and Sky! 💦🤩 they both got their muddy socks on 🤣

Luna also found the greatest ball since sliced bread and this created a huge game of chase when Sky sneaky managed to get it off her 🙊🤣

They both did so much running and chasing and playing this morning ☺️ it made crisp photos rather challenging 🤣🐾

Very wet and rainy lunch time walkies with the boys! 🌧 Ted, Oscar and Nelson 🐾

The rain certainly didn’t put this lot off as they continued to have all the games of chase, lots of sniffs, and even a swim 🤣💦

Nelson made my job very easy today by playing chase with Oscar to well and truly tire him out 🤣🤣 there’s a video of their game in my stories 📽 even Ted knew there was no way he was keeping up!

Ted did however enjoy a lovely dip in the river 💦 even in the pouring rain 🤣

I think they all had a lovely time getting absolutely soaked until we got back to the car and they realized it would have to end with a good towel dry! No one was impressed with that part 🤣 🐾

Lunch time walkies with Ted, Nelson and Gus 🤪🐾

After a bit of a late start these boys were raring to go! 🌪

They started off with some crazy speeding around, then Ted found a treasure 🏀 which they all tried to get hold of!

We had a little sniff around the woods and of course Gus had to have a splash in the puddles 🤣

They then started a great game of tug o war with a stick 🤣 Nelson ended up with the good piece which Gus desperately wanted. And while Nelson can out run and over power Gus, Gus definitely out smarted Nelson and ended up victorious! 🏆 🐾

Lunch time walkies with Oscar, Ted and Gus 🐾

These boys had a lovely sniffy walk and a good explore through the farmers fields 🙊 the crops are as big as Gus and almost as big as Oscar so it was great to watch them bounding through! 🐇

Gus instigated a few games of chase which Oscar was more than happy to get involved in! 😁 Ted preferred the sniffy exploring but couldn’t help but get stuck into the games 🤪

Bertie came a bit earlier to enjoy some time with the lads! 🤪

Nelson seemed to think Gus was ready to level up in his rough and tumbling so Gus was over the moon to be doing some big boy playing! 🥴😁

Bertie wasn’t too keen on the rough play so enjoyed a quiet sniff about, but when we got to the puddles he got all over taken with the zoomies! 💦

All three boys had an AMAZING time splashing around and tearing through the puddles!

I’ve never seen a dog happier than Gus in water 😍💦 he was in his element and it was a job and a half getting him to leave the puddles 🤣🤣

Everyone had plenty of fun, got soaking wet and burnt off loads of energy! A very successful day in the office if you ask me! 🐾

Luna and Sky had a lovely good run around at the field 🌪 they played and chased non stop and it was nice to see Sky initiating some plays too! 🤩

Luna only managed to find ALL the muddy puddles and shoes Sky how to splashing about in them 🤣 so we all had a rough and tumble with a towel back at the car 😁🐾

WHY DOGS LIVE LESS THAN HUMAN

Here's the surprising answer of a 6 year old child.

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.

I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.

As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that dogs' lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ”I know why.”

Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I’d never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live.

He said, ”People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?” The six-year-old continued,

”Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay for as long as we do.”

Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

• When your loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
• Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
• Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.
• Take naps.
• Stretch before rising.
• Run, romp, and play daily.
• Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
• Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
• On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
• On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
• When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
• Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
• Be faithful.
• Never pretend to be something you’re not.
• If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
• When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

That's the secret of happiness that we can learn from a good dog.

Lunch time walkies with Ted, Gus, Nelson, Tilly and Pippa 🤩🐾

These pups had a great time tearing around the puddles and as you can imagine Gus was in his element splashing about! 💦 couldn’t get him away from the puddles 🤣

Ted enjoyed a good rough and tumble with Nelson, while Gus barked them on 🤪

Pippa quite enjoyed a chase through the puddles with Gus too! 🤩

Afternoon walkies with Sadie, Bertie and Nelson ☺️🐾

Nelson and I had a very slow, chilled second walk of the day while Sadie and Bertie were absolutely raring to go the whole time and did not stop for a minute 🤪🤣

They had such fun splashing in all the puddles and running through them at full speed! 💦

Then we walked through the long grass to clean them off before heading home for a nap ☺️💤🐾

Lovely lunchtime walkies with the rowdy crowd: Ted, Gus, Luna and Nelson 🤪🐾

The first half an hour was carnage with everyone involved in a good old rough and tumble and the discovery of yet another very muddy puddle 🥴 Gus was really keen to get involved in ALL the activities! 😁

But once everyone got that out of their system they all kind of went off on their own missions.

Gus had his nose to the ground as if his sniffer just started working and he sniffed around frantically 🐽🤣

Every time the sun came out Ted was belly up enjoying the warmth on his underbelly and rolling around in the warm grass ☀️☺️

Luna was always after the next best stick to try and entice someone to play the stick game with her 🤣 eventually it worked and she had a good run around with Gus but Ted wasn’t too bothered about sticks today.

Lunch time Walkies with Ted, Gus and Nelson 🐾🤩

A walk on which I was not expecting to get such filthy doggos, but alas.... Gus nose dived into every puddle he saw, and Ted and Nelson had a rough and tumble in the farmers field 🙊 which all resulted in three muddy doggies!

But I can confirm that they all had a wonderful time running and splashing and playing together! And all three will be ready for a nice long nap now! 🐾☺️💤

Nelson was all ready for a peaceful sniffy walk but eventually Gus won him round and got a little rough and tumble out of Nelson! 🤪😁

They were both so good and listened to my every call! Might’ve been the new treato’s though 🙊🤷🏻‍♀️

Gus had a lovely bath in a muddy puddle he found! But lucky we walked back through the really long (and wet) grass so he cleaned himself off!

It did mean that Gus and I had a little rough and tumble in the car with a towel 🤣 Gus was not impressed but I had a great time! 🤪

Both boys took themselves straight to bed when we got home ☺️ 💤🐾

Morning walkies with the girls 💕🥰

Sky and Luna had such a good run around the Pure Dog Adventure Training secure field! 🌪

They honestly made me dizzy sprinting around in circles chasing each other 🤪

I think Sky quite enjoyed just having one playmate to contend with and really got stuck in to all the games!

Luna started a game of get the stick if you can 🤣 Sky loved this game and chased after Luna with the stick endlessly!

We practiced a bit of recall too and Sky did so well without all the distractions! 🤩 Luna was also a good role model and showed Sky how it’s done!

We had lots of rests and water breaks but these two just wanted to keep stretching their legs and running around like crazy dogs 🤪🤩🐾

So the baby brain has really got the better of me today, and I forgot my phone at home! 🙈

So no photos of our lunch time walk with Ted, Oscar and Nelson I’m afraid 😔 but I’m going to have get really descriptive here because we had such a lovely walk!

The boys got plenty of exercise running through the field with the long grass! There must’ve been a parade of very interesting dogs who walked before us because the sniffs were plentiful today! 🐽

We managed to avoid the rain which was lovely and they all seemed to be looking and acting their cutest while I didn’t have a camera 😭 I think they appreciated the lack of pup-paw-azzi though 🤪 📸

Ted and Nelson enjoyed a good little rough and tumble in the long grass and Oscar ran around them barking orders like a referee 🗣

Then Oscar and Ted had a tug of war with a stick, it kept them amused for ages! 🤣 Ted won a few rounds but I think Oscar was victorious at the end! 🏆 this time Nelson got to be the referee and ran after them checking it was all fair!

Lots of rough and tumbles were had, and the boys loved it! 🤪🥴🐾

Ted finally got the good old play he wanted now that there were no girls around to distract the young lads 🤣 he was in his element today and played with Nelson, chased with Gus and even posed so nicely for photos!

Gus had so much fun chasing after the big dogs, but also couldn’t wait to get in the water! 💦 he was less impressed when he realized he was back on the long line 🙊 but the river is a bit big for you Gus! I know it’s your half birthday but you’ve got some growing yet to do before you’ll be off in the river on your own 🤣

Nelson had a quick dip to cool off before I even got there with the others and then was done with swimming, and just wanted to be back on the field running around with his friends! ☺️🐾

After a bit of a rough start, we had a lovely morning walk at the Pure Dog Adventure Training field with Lola, Luna and Sky 🤩🐾

Sky really got to stretch her legs this morning as she just spent the whole time running around at full speed! 🤩

Lola also had a very active morning walk chasing the other two around!

Luna enjoyed a game of fetch with the girls 🎾 and had a fun little rough and tumble with Sky, but I think her favorite part was the tug of war over a stick with Sky 🤣 they chased for it and pulled for it all while being cheered on by little Lola! 🤩
