With our dedicated team of friendly vets, compassionate nurses and caring reception staff, we are proud to provide an exceptional level of care for the pets of Darlington and it's surrounding areas. We have 19 branches across Tyne and wear, Durham and Northumberland which are supported by our Tier 3 RCVS hospital in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We have excellent operating and in house facilities including a separate dedicated feline unit which has received Gold standard cat friendly clinic status.

This handsome Border Collie, Bruno, came in for his 6-month health check — and we couldn’t get enough of those fluffy ears! 😍🐶

These mid-year MOTs are a great way to make sure everything’s ticking along nicely between annual vaccinations. We check things like:
✅ Weight & body condition
✅ Teeth & coat
✅ Joints, behaviour & overall health

This little superstar, Darrel the hedgehog, came in to see our vet Yasmin for a health check 🩺

Hedgehogs might be small, but they still need regular care to make sure they stay healthy and happy. Our team can check weight, teeth, skin, and give advice on diet and habitat too.

Darrel was an absolute gem — and we think he deserves the title of “cutest patient of the day”! 💚

This gorgeous Wirehaired Pointer, Della, came in to see our Senior Nurse Frankie for her Cytopoint injection — and just look at that grin! 🐶✨

Cytopoint is a treatment that helps dogs with itchy skin caused by allergies, giving them lasting relief and keeping them comfortable. No scratching, no stress — just happy, healthy dogs like Della 💚

She was the perfect patient (and an absolute poser for the camera too!).

Handsome Savannah cat Thomas came in for his castration — and almost vanished into his leopard-print blanket!

Before his op, Thomas was happily sprawled out for strokes, showing off those stunning markings. Afterwards, he was a little sleepy but still keeping his “wild cat” style strong.

He might look like he belongs in the jungle, but Thomas was the perfect patient — and we think he deserves a gold star for camouflage skills! 🌟

🐾 Yuki’s Growing Fast! 🐕💨

Remember Yuki, our gorgeous American Akita puppy who came in for her first vaccinations?

Well… she’s back for her third set of vaccines with Nurse Lorin — and let’s just say she barely fits on the table now! 😅

It’s amazing to see how quickly our young patients grow between visits. Vaccinations are an important part of keeping them healthy and ready for all life’s adventures — even if it means we’ll soon need a bigger table for Yuki! 🐾

✨ Bramble’s Sparkling Smile 🐶🪥

Beautiful brown spaniel Bramble came in for her dental treatment — and she was an absolute ⭐ from start to finish!

Her before-and-after shots really show the difference:
🦷 Left side – from plaque to pearly whites
🦷 Right side – fresh, clean, and healthy

Afterwards, Bramble enjoyed a well-earned nap in kennels… and then really enjoyed her post-op meal (Nurse Katherine even had to hold her hair back so she could tuck in without eating it by accident! 🤭).

Dental care is so important for our pets — keeping their teeth clean helps prevent pain, infection, and other health problems. Bramble’s mouth is now healthy, happy, and ready for plenty more treats!

Handsome white cat Monty came in for his castration today — and he was such a sweetheart from start to finish!

From leaning in for strokes when he arrived, to snuggling in his carrier, to getting cosy under blankets after his op… Monty made friends with everyone 💕

Castration is a quick, routine procedure that has lots of benefits — from preventing unwanted litters to reducing the risk of certain health issues. And as Monty proved, there’s always time for cuddles before and after!

🐾 Teddy’s Big Day 💙

This adorable black-and-brown Cockapoo, Teddy, came in for his castration — and pretty much charmed everyone from the moment he arrived! 😍

From cuddles in Nurse Katherine’s lap in kennels, to belly rubs on his walk, to tucking into his food post-op — Teddy took it all in his stride. 🐶💤

He had:
💙 A calm, snuggly settle-in with Katherine
🪡 A smooth castration procedure
🍽 A tasty recovery meal
💤 Cosy post-op naps (with plenty more cuddles!)

We think he may have also applied for the position of “full-time lap dog” while he was here! 🥰

💪 Buster the Fighter 🐶❤️

This handsome Shih Tzu, Buster, came in for a castration and the removal of a large mass — weighing a whopping 645g (that’s over half a bag of sugar!) 😮

The surgery went smoothly, but during recovery, Buster suffered a cardiac arrest.

Thanks to the quick, calm work of Senior Vet Emma, Senior Nurse Frankie, and Student Nurse Hollie, we were able to stabilise him and bring him back. 💓
We’re so proud of how hard the team worked in those critical moments — and so relieved to say that Buster has made a full recovery and is doing brilliantly.

He’s now back to his happy self — complete with harness, bow, and a big personality! 🐾🎀

Cases like Buster’s are a powerful reminder of why we do what we do — and how important trust, teamwork, and fast action are in veterinary care.

💖 Brave Bella’s Journey 💉🐶 (⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️)

Sweet little Bella came in after her eye became swollen and cloudy, and it quickly became clear that it needed to be removed to keep her comfortable and pain-free.

Our vet Rebecca performed the surgery, and Bella was an absolute ⭐️ from start to finish.

She had:
🛁 A gentle prep
🪡 A neat stitch-up
🤗 Loads of cuddles in recovery
✨ And at her post-op check a few days later, she was healing beautifully!

Eye removal (enucleation) might sound scary, but many pets adapt incredibly well — especially when they're as brave and loved as Bella 💕

We're so proud of how she's handled everything — and even more proud of the kindness and trust shown by her family in bringing her to us.
