Today we take off and head to Turkey to spend some time studying the world of Street Dogs!
👀 It’s been a few years but with the thanks of Hayed, a local charity in Fethiye whose mission is to educate people and support street animals health & welfare, I will get the opportunity to study street dogs in more depth learning more about core elements that impact canine learning and behaviour including genetic influences, environment, internal and external reinforcement and more!
🎓We will be supporting some fundraising and seeing how Great Paws can support their education mission!
So we will be quiet on the usual business streams such as email but we will try keep you posted with our trip via Great Paws Click and the socials!

💪 Hard work👷♀️
One thing that is massively underestimated is the genuine effort and work that goes in to training with your dog and also the time investment over their life stages!
Anyone doing well in life rarely has it because of luck - most have put in graft.
So if others are getting results from the hard work, and even being generous enough to share their experience in an effort to help you understand and even get some free training…. Be thankful, curious, gracious …. Not jealous or mean spirited … the joys of socials is, if you don’t like it… scroll past.
Ultimately, what trainers want is to impart their knowledge and teach owners the skills involved in training a dog. What (some) owners want, is for their dog to be trained…. The disconnect can be a gaping chasm!
Education sometimes shines a light on the things we don’t like to see or admit!
Like me… if I wanna lose weight… I need to put the fork down! I don’t like it… but it’s true!

Tomorrow Saturday (7th sept) sees Great Paws and PetPals team up to bring you out all new Fun Dog show!
Registration opens at 10:30 till 11:30 for the ring classes (£2 per entry) and two “have a go” classes (£2 per go) are open all day if you can’t make registration.
Amazing prizes, pro photography and a little chat/demo all part of the day!
