Update 30th December:
The female spaniel is completely black with a grey muzzle, she is not spayed. She is microchipped but not registered. She is missing 1/4 of her tail.
The brown male spaniel is not microchipped or neutered.
Sadly they do not match the descriptions of missing Spaniels: Maddy, Missy & Biscuit, 😢
Christmas is a time to show love and care, but sadly, for these two sweet Spaniels, the holiday season has taken a heartbreaking turn. The night before Christmas Eve, on December 23rd, this adorable pair was found in the Bornacoola area, having strayed to a house seeking refuge. It appears they were abandoned. 😔
The kind family who found them took them in and tried to find their owner, but to no avail. They have been in our care since Friday, and we are doing everything we can to help them feel safe and loved.
One of the dogs has a deep wound on her head and eye infection that we are currently treating, but both are safe and warm with us now. One of the dogs is microchipped, but unfortunately, the chip isn’t registered, making it harder to track down their owner.
We are reaching out to the community: Do you recognise these two Spaniels or know who they might belong to as no dog deserved to be abandoned.
