We have added 6 bending poles to our farm ride to provide something different. They are 6m apart so are welcoming. You can choose your level of challenge by the level of speed you go. Below is Macy and Molly trying them out for the first time. These poles are Trec standard hence the height so great for anyone thinking about doing Trec in the future.
We have a Farm Ride none liveries can book. Set in 200 acres of farm land DL2 1RL. All our jumps have a good passing place around them. Unfortunately we can no longer allow children 7 years old and under due to changes in our insurance .You get a minimum of 2 hours on the tracks from the start of your time slot. It is £20 for adults and £15 for 16 year olds and under. To book please message the page. If your wanting to book for August please get in touch. Also if a time is booked and your happy to share you we can message the other riders and see if they will share.
🐴 Is hacking off road you thing? 🐴
We have 200 acres of ‘off road riding’ a farm ride across a range of terrains over farmland and around woodlands near Sadberge Darlington DL2 1RL. We have two marked routes with arrows or you can explore and choose your own route. There is a short route which is 4.3km which is 2.6 miles marked with green arrows and a longer route which is 8.4km which is 4.6 miles marked with blue arrows which can be lengthened if wished. The way our routes / tracks are organised you can do mix and match different routes. For those who are unsure they can do the green short route and if wished pick up the blue route towards the end. There are no gates. You don’t have to follow a route you can just explore.
We do have optional jumps but all of them can be passed without having to jump them.
We cater for a wide range of riders. We often get parents with children either all riding or children riding and parents walking. We get those with green horses or riders who have not done a great deal of hacking away from home. We currently have no age restrictions but riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Our sole aim is to provide somewhere to ride off the road where you can enjoy yourself. We are happy for riders to be accompanied by those on foot and dogs on leads. Each slot is 2hours with just our liveries or annual pass holders (unless you agree to share a slot) if you wish to stay longer there may be other riders starting. When we take your booking we will check your needs and make the booking accordingly. We only allow 6 horses per slot (unless special arrangements are made) and you must leave after 3hours. This year we are asking when you book if you would share with other hirers. If a slot is shared there will be no more than 6 hirers at a time.

Off Road Riding AKA our Farm Ride
Whether you are wanting a peaceful hack with no gates or car. Or your after cross country schooling or a ride with optional jumps we can offer this. We have two marked routes one which is long and one which is short. You can mix and match routes or you can explore and choose your own route. You get at least 2 hours after which another group may appear.
We have a toilet, fridge with cold drinks and lollies for sale. There is a tap for water in the car park and a wash area for horses. We have a mounting block in the carpark and around mounting blocks around the ride. There is the option of booking an escorted ride, a cross country lesson or schooling for your horse through Laura’s Livery Services.
