**OUR REHOMING PROCESS**

Step 1:

Fill in our Perfect Match adoption form! This can be done via three different ways:

- Email Sophie, our Rehoming Co-ordinator, to request a perfect match form. ( [email protected] )

- You can view and print a copy of the form via this link http://tinyurl.com/3xkup8vd

- Or complete the form online here http://tinyurl.com/4k9pdjvs (this will aut

omatically be sent to us!)

You can express a preference for any cats you have seen on our website or our social media pages. However when you are contacted, you will be advised whether you are a match for a specific cat. Please make sure you live within one hour’s drive of Darlington before applying! (We can advise on how to find a RSPCA centre closer to you if you are too far away to adopt from us!)

Step 2:

Sit back and wait! Waiting time for us to respond to applications is around two weeks, so please be patient! Step 3:

Your details will be added to our database and you will be contacted when a perfect match is found! When we have a perfect match you will receive an email or phone call, asking for further information and to discuss your future feline friend. Step 4:

If we can offer you a cat or kitten for adoption, the rest of the application process will be completed via phone, email and a virtual home check via online chat will be completed. Step 5:

If the adoption process is successful, your cat will be brought to your home by experienced RSPCA staff. There is an adoption fee to pay when you get your new feline friend:

- Kittens under 6 months: £110
- Cats 6 months - 6 years: £100
- Cats 7 years or over: £90

Step 6:

Live happily ever after with your new feline family member! If you have any questions or need advice, don’t worry, you will receive ongoing support from us following adoption!

🫧BUBBLES🫧

Bubbles is a beautiful, 8 year old neutered male who came into Cat Hub care after his previous owner became too unwell to look after him.

This lovely fella can find life a bit overwhelming and can be nervous of new people and situations. However, once you get to know him and earn his trust, he lives up to his name and is bubbly, cheeky, incredibly affectionate and the best friend you could ask for. He loves dreamie creamys, belly rubs, will give a hearty nose boop to a friendly outstretched hand, loves bedtime and will happily tell you off if you’re taking too long to get into bed. Bubbles will happily lie on or near your legs of a night and has the best fusses in the morning.

He’s a sun lover and if he can sunbathe while having a nosey out of the window - even better! As he can have nervous days, he will need hiding spaces to retreat into when he is feeling overwhelmed.

🏡Bubbles finds life around other animals too stressful, so he would prefer to be the only animal in the home. He is an indoor cat and we are looking for an adult only home for him. Bubbles will need to be given time and patience to settle into his new home but trust us, he will be worth the effort!

He is a sensitive boy, with a big heart and the hope that someone will see through his nervous exterior. He’ll make the best companion to the lucky person that adopts him.

Suzie and Fluffy are approximately 2-5 year old female cats who came into our care from a multicat household. After spending nearly a year in Cat Hub foster care, let’s see if we can make their dream of a forever home come true!!

In February 2024, Suzie arrived in our care heavily pregnant. She was an amazing mum but now her kittens have flown the nest, it’s time for her to find her forever home and live the rest of her life kitten free!

She can be wary of humans but has slowly been building confidence in her foster home. 🥹 She will carefully take a tasty treat on offer 😻

Fluffy is a sensitive little girl who is building her confidence with her fantastic foster mum! She will carefully come for a treat, strokes and has even started to play! ❤️

Fluffy was adopted a couple of months ago. However, due to no fault of her own, she was returned to us and reunited with her foster friend Suzie.
We now feel, as they are so comfortable with each other, these two ladies should be rehomed as a pair.

🏡They are looking for a calm, adult only home. They are indoor cats. They could live friendly cats and will need an owner who has experience with nervous cats and can give them the patience they need to settle.

💙CHARLIE💙

Charlie is a beautiful, 11 year old male tabby cat who came into our care when his previous owner became too unwell to look after him. He’s setting his sights on finding his forever home in 2025, could you be his perfect match? 🥰😻

Charlie was understandably nervous by his new surroundings but he has since grown in confidence and is showing his foster carer just how lovely he is.

This gorgeous boy responds to his name, likes to snooze the day away, doesn’t like to be picked up but will happily sit on your lap or right beside you. He enjoys looking out the window and does have playful moments with his fish toy!!

He will make a lovely companion to the lucky person that adopts him.

Sweet Daisy had a devastating start in life before coming to the Cat Hub. Kept in a cage for three years and her poor little body reflecting the cruelty of her situation.

Thankfully, after many months, she recovered through the love and dedication of her foster mum and happily, little Daisy was adopted before Christmas! We are all overjoyed that this gorgeous little lady found her wonderful family and now has the brightest and most loving future ahead of her.

Sweet boy, Pie, left the Cat Hub before our Christmas break. We were absolutely thrilled to receive this update on how this gorgeous lad has settled in! ✨🥧😻

Stunning duo Poppy and Barry left the Cat Hub last year and we are always thrilled to see updates from their loving family! ✨🐾

Here’s how they’re both doing…

“I just wanted to give you an update on Poppy and Barry who we got from the Cat Hub in October 2023.

They've become strong little characters: Poppy is very food orientated, loves helping me work and her favourite place is a cushion between us on the sofa so she can get strokes from each side.

Barry, or Baz, is quite goofy, he has learnt to play with enthusiasm and has a wayward tail. He was really ill in the summer with FIP but the new treatment available for it has worked so well (fingers crossed) and he's a strong young cat now. And very handsome.

Thank you for letting us have them in our lives.”

This year our incredible volunteers attended the Northallerton indoor fairs every month. Bringing you stalls full of excellent goodies and tombolas, and most deliciously…for the first time ever, they brought you a pop up cafe!! Our fantastic volunteers, Val and June, lovingly made wonderful cakes and pies that we know you all loved and devoured! 😻🍰🧁 Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and you, the supporters that visited and treated yourselves every month, a fantastic… £4243 was raised this year!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you to everyone that supported us and thank you to our brilliant volunteers who worked hard to make these events so fantastic and for giving up so many weekends to raise money for our cats! 😻🐾💙 …see you next year? 😼

Our Story...

The RSPCA Cat Rehoming Hub is a rescue and rehoming cattery based just outside Darlington in the North East of England.

We work with local RSPCA branches to rehome cats and kittens rescued by RSPCA officers across the Darlington, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland, Northallerton and North Yorkshire areas. The cats we rehome have often faced cruelty or neglect, or been abandoned.

We have 20 pods in a local cattery which can accommodate up to 30 cats and kittens at any one time. We currently rehome more than 300 cats and kittens each year and we are planning to steadily increase that number. To do that costs us £75,000 each year.

You can help us in our mission to rescue and rehome neglected, abused and abandoned cats in our region by Volunteering, or Donating to us.
