LONG STAY SUZIE AND FLUFFY NEED A HOME🏡
Foster friends, Suzie and Fluffy have built such a close bond in their foster home that we feel they must be adopted together. ❤️
These beautiful, sensitive souls are hoping there is someone out there willing to give them a chance in a home. Suzie and Fluffy are making incredible progress with their fosterer. They are slowly learning to trust new people and will be happy to take any treats on offer.🏡
They are looking for a calm, adult only home. They are indoor cats. They could live with other friendly cats and will need an owner who has experience with nervous cats and can give them the patience they need to settle.
If you think Suzie and Fluffy could be the cats for you, please email [email protected] for more information or to request a Perfect Match application form.
You can express a preference for any cats you have seen on our website or our social media pages. However when you are contacted, you will be advised whether you are a match for a specific cat. Please make sure you live within one hour’s drive of Darlington before applying! (We can advise on how to find a RSPCA centre closer to you if you are too far away to adopt from us!)

🖤BEAR AND GOSLING🖤
Bear (female) and Gosling (male) are two outrageously adorable, 5 month old kitten siblings who came into our care after they were signed over by their previous owner. They are now ready to find their forever family!
Gosling is a tiny explorer and Bear loves to play with her toys!!
They are both wildly affectionate and once they have tired themselves out after a long play, they will gladly snuggle up to you…even more so if you have a fluffy blanket for them to cosy into!
🏡They are a bonded pair so are looking to be rehomed together. They could live with friendly cats and cat savvy children.
🐈⬛If you think they could be the kittens for you, please email [email protected] for more information or to request a Perfect Match application form.
Many of the cats you see on our social media have gone through huge changes in foster care, both emotionally and physically. When you see photos of them, they are mostly at their best, all ready to start the next chapter of their rescue journey.
Today we’d like to share with you Daisy’s incredible transformation...
In May 2024, three year old Daisy was rescued by one of our fantastic RSPCA Inspectors. This sweet young cat had been kept in a small dog cage for the first three years of her life. We’ve spared you the photos of this as it was truly a horrible sight that is hard to forget.
She was emaciated, had urine staining on her coat and sore bald patches over her body. However, despite being starved of the love and freedom she deserved, and not having any reason to trust humans, Daisy settled into foster life beautifully. She trusted that the humans around her loved her, and that she was finally safe. She played, had belly rubs straight away, suddenly had warm beds to sleep in and a full bowl of food every single day. Daisy now lives the life she deserved from the very beginning.
The two photographs below show Daisy when she first arrived and what she looks like now. It’s taken a long time, but with the unwavering love and care from her fantastic foster mum, she’s healthy, even more gorgeous and fully ready to find her forever home! 🌼🐾✨

Team Cat Hub would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the kind person who donated these wonderful gifts to our cats 🥹🙏🏻 They certainly will have fun!! 😺
We continue to be touched by the unwavering support and incredible generosity you show us, and all the cats and kittens in our care. 💙🐾
Thank you! 😽

Joey and Gunther’s reserve has unfortunately fallen through.
We are on a mission to try and find them a forever home in time for Christmas.
They arrived into our care due to being removed from a multi animal household where their welfare needs were not being met.
It was apparent that Joey and Gunther had received limited human interaction and socialisation in their previous household. On their arrival, they were understandably quite timid and shy.
They have gained love and trust in their fosterers care and the gorgeous duo are really starting to let their personalities shine through. Joey and Gunther are a mischievous, yet loving pair and we know they will provide so much happiness and joy for their new family.
Joey is becoming quite confident now. Gunther is more reserved out of this duo, however he’s grown in so much confidence and thrives on other cat company. They just need someone willing to give them a chance!
The boys are in need of an adult only home and they can live with friendly cats.
A lovely little update from their fosterer, who says:
“Gunther is coming on wonderfully and loves being with other cats, he will accept a stroke on his terms. Joey is more forward and chases us around the house for a stroke and to kiss us! They are both so beautiful and would love to be in their forever home xx”
Please help us find them their forever family!
🐾If you think you can give a forever home to Joey and Gunther, please email [email protected] to request a Perfect Match application form.
Bun is a 7-8 month old, neutered female kitten. She came into our care at 12 weeks old after she was found while we were trapping and neutering a feral colony. One of our amazing foster carers has spent so much time giving her love and building her confidence.
She has made firm friends with fellow foster kittens, Bear and Gosling! 🥹🐾💙
🏡She is a quiet little cat who must go to a home with other cat friendly cats and we are looking for an adult only home for Bun.
🐾If you think you have the time and patience to help her, please email [email protected] to request a Perfect Match application form.
“Some Christmassy photos of Gary (white and black) and Georgina (ginger and white) we've had Gary one year yesterday (7th Dec) and Georgina for over 2 years! Both adopted from yourselves 🙂”
Happy Gotchya Day for Saturday, Gary! 🎉 We love seeing how loved and happy this wonderful duo are! 🐾💙✨
🎄☃️🐾 Is your Cat Hub cat or kitten feeling festive? Do they like to jingle all the way into in the pile of presents? Maybe it’s your first Christmas with your feline friend?
💌Message us photos of your cats enjoying this Christmas season, and we will post as many as we can!!

While rehoming may have been paused for a couple of weeks, we have still been working hard to get the cats in our care seen. 🐾
It is never far from our minds that many of the lovely cats and kittens have been here for months, with some going as far back as February.
While they are all adored in their loving foster homes, we would love see them merrily head off to their forever homes and spend their very first Christmas with their forever family. 🎄❤️🐾
To find out more about our cats, please click on their photo and you can read all about them in the caption. 💬
If you’d like to apply to adopt, and you live within one hour of Darlington, please email [email protected] to request a Perfect Match application form.
If you can’t adopt right now, please share! It truly makes a difference. 🙏🏻
✨Please remember that cats and kittens are not Christmas presents, they are a considered, 15-20 year, worthwhile commitment. 😊🐾❤️🐈

In one week, one of our foster carers, Cheryl, will be taking part in this year’s Muddy Roads Christmas 5km Trail run! 🏃♀️🎄
On Sunday 15th December, Cheryl will be running faster than Forrest Gump (no pressure, Cheryl 😼) all in an effort to raise money for us! 🐈⬛🥹🐾
“RSPCA Cat hub is essentially run by volunteers with a wonderful employed co-ordinator. All fostering is in people’s homes and we have a fantastic team of volunteer fundraisers, drivers, homecheckers, social media gurus and cake bakers!
It’s not all cute fluffy kittens, though. Sometimes we have to get up every 1-2 hours to feed poorly kittens, keep them warm, often fighting to keep them alive and trying everything when they won’t eat. Sometimes we win the fight, sometimes we don’t.
We take in ill and injured cats, and spend thousands getting them better with long recoveries and special fosterers for these special cats. We help to trap and neuter many colonies of feral cats and find suitable outdoor homes for them. All with the help of kind donations from our supporters. Please help and give whatever you can. ❤️🐾🥰”
Tickets cost just £1 per week, and we receive 50p each time you play! It’s a great way to help us provide food, litter, and vet care for more than 300 cats a year while they wait to find forever homes.
There are cash prizes of up to 💵 £25,000 💵 to be won! 🙀

After being dumped by his lifelong best friend, Charlie🐱, beautiful Bubbles has been trying hard to get his sparkle back. After copious amounts of Dreamie Creamys, belly tickles and listing to Pet Shop Boys’ “What Have I Done to Deserve This?” on repeat, we think he might just be back to his old cheeky self…😼🫧
We can’t wait to introduce him properly. Watch this space…

Was it something we did?! 👀🏃♂️💨
With the help of our friends RSPCA Darlington & District, we are currently working to trap, neuter and release cats belonging to a feral colony in the Sadberge area.
This handsome fella, who we affectionately call “Big Boy”, was a prolific procreator. However, after much patience and team work, he has been neutered and safely released back into his outdoor home. Big Boy will enjoy a happy life and no longer contribute to the outrageously high kitten population! 🐱
Nothing but ❤️ and 😻 for this sweet little lad!
Gateaux is getting all the love and treats while he patiently waits for his forever home. ❤️🏡

The RSPCA Cat Rehoming Hub is a rescue and rehoming cattery based just outside Darlington in the North East of England.
We work with local RSPCA branches to rehome cats and kittens rescued by RSPCA officers across the Darlington, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland, Northallerton and North Yorkshire areas. The cats we rehome have often faced cruelty or neglect, or been abandoned.
We have 20 pods in a local cattery which can accommodate up to 30 cats and kittens at any one time. We currently rehome more than 300 cats and kittens each year and we are planning to steadily increase that number. To do that costs us £75,000 each year.
You can help us in our mission to rescue and rehome neglected, abused and abandoned cats in our region by Volunteering, or Donating to us.
Using social media we aim to provide videos and photographs of cats we have available for rehoming. In addition to these rehoming posts we will be attending local village fairs and shows. We will be announcing these events via social media.
