Over 30 years later she passed away while I was 17 hours away on the Artic Circle Train going to Norway unaware that she had passed. I went dog sledding led by a dog with a Sapphire blue eye. I witnessed a rare white light pillar that night along with the Northern Lights. It was a surreal experience and I was exactly where I needed to be in order to cope with my grief. “WHAT IS AN ASSESSMENT?” Assessing a new horse isn’t as simple as looking at a CV. Horses change. Assessing how a horse is in its current state of mind, working through any “quirks”, gaining some extra winter weight while experiencing a variety of people and riders of various abilities, seeing obstacles the daily rider will probably never come across, hacking out in heavy traffic and across fields with views as far as the eye can see, alone and with company and me Cantering past struggling to jungle both reins and a steady camera 🎥🙈 … It’s not a case of “yes that horse looks pretty let’s buy it let’s advertise it today!” We spend a lot of time and gather as much information as possible and give the best description we can based on our experience, knowledge and predictions for each horse. We don’t have a crystal ball. It’s not a 100% guarantee. If you have doubts, don’t buy the horse. If you need reassurance, talk to us. Talk to your family, friends, your vet, or god! Is it daunting? YES. Is it scary? YES. It is a big commitment. Every big decision in life can be life changing. A horse can teach you things no human can 🫶🏼🦄💫
