This is Ragnar, a beautiful rescue pup who is so nervous he wouldn't let me anywhere near him to start with. Photos 2 and 3 are when we'd been out for a walk together with his owners, we were back at their home and I tried to stroke him - he was so scared he ran away 😢
Cut to a few hours later in photo 4 - progress! He put his paw on me! 🥰
I'm spending time with him every week for him to get used to me and feel comfortable with me before his owners go away on holiday in January and I'll be looking after him 🐶
(He even let me rub his tummy by the end of the day! 😍)

This week I'm looking after 6 cats who live on a farm. They are all rescue cats from Greece. Found as feral strays, they were severely malnourished and had suffered terribly, until they were rescued and nursed back to full health. Two are blind and one is deaf, so I am learning how to communicate with them. I have experience looking after animals with disabilities from my time volunteering and working at the Blue Cross Animal Rescue Centre 💙
I find this work so rewarding and I am in awe of the people who take rescue animals in to their homes to care for them.
Plus... these cats... They are all so gorgeous!!! 😻🐈🐈‍⬛ ###
