Family Tails offer a service to those people who need help caring for their dog. Whether you have an injury or are returning to a job or just need someone to let your dog out for a bathroom break we can help. We are a local business who are fully insured and have DBS clearance. We will be happy to meet with you first to discuss your needs and your dogs requirements and can offer a very competitive

rate which you will find is very reasonable. Not everyone has family and friends who can help look after a dog should you be taken ill. Family Tails will be care for your dog in our own home
as if a member of our own family.

WARNING SIGNS OF HEATSTROKE IN DOGS
Heavy panting
Excessively drooling
The dog appears lethargic, drowsy, uncoordinated.
Collapsed or vomiting.

FIRST AID
Move the dog to a shaded and cool area
Immediately pour cool (not cold to avoid shock) water over the dog. If possible, you can also use wet towels or place them in the breeze of a fan
Allow the dog to drink small amounts of cool water
Continue to pour cool water over the dog until their breathing starts to settle, but not too much that they start shivering
Once the dog is cool, take them to the nearest vet as a matter of urgency.
