Thought I’d help some of you out here 😎… From next Wednesday 28th August - Friday 30th August, you can book 2 weeks in advance for arriving back from our holiday on 11th, 12th & 13th September at the current rate of £25.

From 9pm on the 31st August, the prices do increase. If you haven’t received our email sent on 6th August with the new pricing details, please let us know. Thank you 🐾

Welcome Paddy! He’s a 6 month old 💛 Paddy wasn’t too sure to start with, it took him a couple of 2 hour trials to really gain his confidence and come out of his shell. However, on his second trial the following day, he was pulling his owner in the building and greeted 32 dogs very well with no set backs!👏🏼🤩 Sometimes all it takes is a lot of love, reassurance, a little patience (and a few treats!) 🥰
It may take more than once to get your dog settled in properly, making sure they are happy, introductions are done at the dog’s pace and they gain a positive experience from the get go.

We use this technique ‘The Ladder of Communication’ here at Doggies Friend. It’s important to see these signals from the off, not necessarily in this order and not every dog shows every behaviour. 🐾💚 this is not just displayed towards humans/children, but towards other dogs too 🐾

‘The canine ladder of communication is a useful guide, showing the different signals dogs show through their body language to communicate. As a dog gets more upset, their body language may change according to the steps on the ladder 🚦

It’s important to note that all dogs are different - not every dog will show every behaviour on the ladder and might not follow the same order.’

With children and pets spending more time together over the summer holidays, it's super important to watch dogs closely and listen to their body language ⚠️

Dogs' stress signals often get misunderstood or missed, with some owners not realising their dog is unhappy until they growl, snap or even bite.

The Doggies Friend team would like to say a big goodbye and good luck to the two sweetest and craziest retrievers Mya and Lexi.
They have been coming regularly since April 2022 and will be very missed by us all & their doggie pals.
We hope to see them again in the near future! Have fun your new home girlies!!
