I just wanted to share a bit about how I run my dog walking/pet sitting business.
I only offer solo walks because I feel it’s the best option for the dogs I work with, whether they need some extra attention, space from other dogs, or just a peaceful walk tailored to them.

Group walks can be successful but need to be properly managed, and there’s some great walkers out there who offer this, however it’s just not my thing. I will however walk up to 3 dogs from the same household or occasionally I may bring my own dog along to a walk, but only If I feel as though this would benefit the dogs.

I also keep my schedule small and manageable for various reasons, including that I don’t drive, and I want to make sure I can give every dog my full focus.
Alongside my pet care , I’m also studying and working in the shop The Dogs Butcher so balancing everything carefully is important to me.

I’ve also chosen not to run my business in a traditional way that’s purely profit driven. While it means I might not make loads of money, my focus has always been on the animals and providing the best care possible for them and their owners.

It’s not about being less busy, I’ve chosen this approach because it works best for me and the dogs in my care.

🐶❤️ 🐾 Let’s talk puppies! 🐾❤️🐶

Have you got a puppy aged between 8 weeks and 6 months?

If so, come and join PUPPY CLUB.

Puppy Club is a unique service provided by an experienced dog behaviourist. (Force free and holistic methods)

The session will give you and your puppy the opportunity to socialise with other pups and their people.

We will explore your dogs needs and observe their interactions gaining insight into their emotions and feelings.

This is an opportunity for your puppy to learn valuable life skills that will enable them, with your help and guidance, to navigate our human world with confidence. It is also an opportunity for you to learn subtle changes in body language that give you information on how your puppy might be feeling. You can also pick my brain for answers to any puppy questions!

The sessions will include the following
• safe puppy play and interactions
• consent based grooming and handling
• body balance and confidence
• puppy nose work
• basic parkour
• enrichment exercises and tips

Sessions will be once a month (or twice) depending on popularity.

First session is Weds 15th January.

10am St Mary’s Hall Dawlish Warren (free parking)

Hi all, I’m always looking for ways to make my dog walking and pet sitting services better and more inclusive for everyone, especially for neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities.

I’ve created a short feedback form to learn how I can improve accessibility, communication, and support for both clients and their pets. Your input would mean the world to me! Here’s some photos of the wonderful dogs i’ve had the pleasure of working with the last couple of weeks.

As the year comes to a close, I want to reflect on how much I’ve learnt and grown, and all the amazing people I’ve met along the way. It’s been a year filled with incredible talks, workshops, and experiences that have deepened my understanding of both animals and myself.

Running a business and managing life can have its tough moments, especially as a neurodivergent person. But with the support and kindness of my clients, family, and friends , I’ve been able to keep going and do what I love.

Thank you for your trust and encouragement, it means the world to me.
I’m excited to see what adventures the new year brings! 💚

I have not been to Dawlish Countryside Park in ages but today I tested out the new secure space with Skye.

It’s awesome and perfect for some off lead time. There’s also some agility equipment.
No one else is allowed to come in whilst you are, however be mindful that there are still dogs and people walking past near by which can be difficult for some dogs
