Daisy is 6 today! 🎂

And it's also my wedding anniversary; Unfortunately we only got to spend one together with Brett, but I'm glad it's a day where Daisy can be extra spoilt and we always go out for a meal - and today it was Bean and Welly for breakfast where Daisy had her own little plate!

I remember picking up Daisy from her foster home, signing the papers to adopt her and seeing her birthday was the same day. It was obviously meant to be 🐶🥳

Just gave Ninja a proper bath and blow-dry today. He’s had a patch of hair missing and was on a course of treatment from the vet, which left his coat really greasy from all the creams and the vet advised he had a bath.

Now that he’s finished treatment, I gave him a good clean-up. He’s normally true to his name - fast, wriggly, and a bit of a challenge - but today he was so calm and well behaved. He let me bath him and dry him without a fuss, which was a nice surprise!

🦷 Willow's Teeth – Before & After! 🦷

Look at those pearly whites! 🐶✨ This was just a short initial session today, another one is on the way. The best results happen when your dog is calm and when you're doing a little something at home to help prevent plaque and tartar.

Willow's owner has been using a seaweed food additive - super easy to buy online and a great option if brushing feels too daunting. 🪸🪥

👉 Brushing daily with an enzymatic toothpaste like Orazyme is the gold standard (I know, easier said than done!). But even small habits like dental chews, seaweed supplements, or ultrasonic cleaning, can make a difference.

Just remember: nothing replaces proper vet care, but prevention is powerful 💪🩷

After 2 ultrasonic teeth cleaning sessions, there is a big improvement in the colour of Teddy's gums! 🐶😁🪥

This service is really not about the appearance of the teeth but actually helping to maintain tooth and gum health in order to prevent gum disease, which can lead to bone loss and, therefore, expensive teeth extractions.

Like our own gums, if we don't floss our teeth for a while and then floss them all of a sudden the gums can bleed and feel sore - the more often you floss and of course brush, the less they bleed and the healthier they are.

Inflamed gums are a sign of gingivitis and early stage of periodontal disease. So the more we can brush our dogs' teeth, the better. 😊👍🪥🦷

Daisy had a training session at the salon today for her barking!

I learnt about the subtle differences in her barks and how her cheeky barking for more sausages is also a distraction from the unpredictability of who and when someone is coming through the door.

Started today off with a 1:1 with Lucy from Dinky Doodles Professional Styling based at Any paws dog grooming in Sandwich and her dog Daisy. Daisy goes to work with Lucy but is finding all the noise and busy-ness of a grooming salon stressful - resulting in a lot of barking! We made a plan today on how to help Daisy feel more relaxed in busy environments. I’m really looking forward to hearing how she progresses ❤️🐾.

Using a Emmipet ultrasonic toothbrush with a specially formulated toothpaste, the soft bristles are held against the teeth & gums allowing the teeth to be cleaned gently without irritation, vibration & noise. The ultrasound reaches right under the gum line to kill bacteria & cleans the gums to prevent the buildup of plaque & tartar. It also increases the blood flow to the gums to help heal wounds & stop bleeding.

Ultrasound cleans more effectively than regular brushing as it destroys bacteria even below the gum line.

Winnie went a little bit shorter today and she looks so sweet! 😍 🐶

This is a great cut for puppies if you want to keep them cute and fluffy whilst making the coat a bit more manageable in between regular grooms. ✂️🐕🐾

Hi everyone,

Thanks to all of you for being so kind and supportive at this difficult time for me; it really has been made so much easier having so many understanding customers and friends, and of course seeing your lovely pets brightens my day.

My husband passed away 3 weeks ago, and a few of you have asked about flowers and/or donations - I know this cause may be close to some of you too, so wanted to share the fundraiser in Brett's name for The Brain Tumour Charity just in case anyone wanted to add to this. But, your understanding in me changing appointments around is more than enough!

For those of you who have had to miss an appointment or 2 recently, I currently have some slots in June. Please don't get in touch this week as the funeral is tomorrow, but next week I'm sure I will be able to look in my diary and fit some more in 🙏👍 So far no cancellations at the moment, so if you're booked in it will most likely go ahead.
