𝗜𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗲𝘀?
When horses sweat to cool down, they lose water and electrolyte salts in the sweat, leading to dehydration, loss of performance and the onset of fatigue. 😴

To replace the lost fluid and rehydrate, they need to 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, and to replace the lost salts, they need to 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗲𝘀, so giving water containing an electrolyte supplement is the ideal. 😎

💧 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮-𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗲 💧 is one of the most advanced and palatable electrolyte supplements around and is often relished when given in water, within 20 minutes of the horse stopping work/sweating (for optimum recovery times). ⏰

⚠️ Mashes and beets are great for encouraging fibre and some water intake but, if your horse has sweated enough to need sponging down, the addition of electrolytes is strongly advised – even if your product contains some already, they may not be enough - and the horse needs to drink sufficient water to rehydrate.

⚠️ Adding extra table salt to wet feed will go some way to replenishing lost sodium chloride but a carefully formulated electrolyte supplement, like Aqua-Aide, provides a balance of other important salts and can make a real difference to recovery.
