This week you can find Lily on the stand at The British Dog Sports Festival at Onley Equestrian and Charlotte on the stand at Royal Windsor Championship Dog Show! 🐶 🐕

As always will be offering free Warm up and Cool down sessions at both events!

Introducing your dog to therapy 🐶

Here at Canissage we introduce thousands of dogs to therapy each year on busy trade stands and at home. We find all dogs will settle and relax to therapy If we take the time to do it properly with our simple approach..

- Make the situation normal!
Get it out the box and leave the dog to have a sniff and get use to the fresh from factory smell.

- Turning it on!
We find it being on but low for when the dog steps on it to be the most beneficial way the first time and they settle much quicker. They don't need to sit/lay down or be totally on it so don't worry or feel the need to make them lay down. As long as theres a paw on it the therapy will travel - They'll be laying down snoozing on it in no time!

- Treats!
Lots of fuss, treats and licky mats are always a great help however often unnecessary. Once your dog has been on it a minute or so you'll often see them starting to relax and feeling the benefits, you may also see them move around to get therapy directly on areas that are a problem for them because it feels good!

- Get Comfy
Sometimes there can be a little noise, if its louder than you'd expect, its probably the type of flooring you have it on (its vibration remember) so pop it onto carpet or put a blanket under it. You can also put your dogs favorite blankets/beds on top to make it super comfy - it wont effect how it works!!

- Settings
It's not a race, and getting the intensity up to 9.9 is not the goal. Your dog being happy and relaxed is. Every person/animal will have a preference on settings. Take guidance from our instruction booklet you received with your Canissage but most importantly, listen to your animal. Thats exactly what we do with everyone from Dogs to Rhinos and elephants!
