This week we welcomed the lovely Bear! He may be an older boy, but he still looks just like a puppy. 🥹 His family rescued him when he was little, though not much is known about his early life. Bear can be a bit nervous and reactive around other dogs, but after a gentle meet with Allie, the two got along beautifully🐾
I’m so excited to build a bond with this handsome boy💙

She’ll be missed so very much, but I feel so lucky to have known her and shared a small part of her wonderful life.

🌊🐾Our Adventure Day Fun!🐾🌊

What a day we’ve had at the beach with today’s crew — Indie, Bronte, Edna, Honey, Allie & Colson!❤️

We parked at Fraisthorpe, Bridlington, walked all the way through to Skipsea and back! Such a lovely long stretch of beach for zoomies, splashing and plenty of sniffs!🐕

Everyone was so well-behaved today — they all stuck together beautifully and had the best time racing around, chasing the waves and digging in the sand!

A special shoutout to Colson — it was his very first Adventure Day and he absolutely smashed it! His recall was spot-on (yes, a husky with recall!👏) and he loved every second. So proud of him!💙

The weather was way better than expected too — quite warm, not too windy, no rain at all and even some sunny spells☀️ Perfect for a long beach walk and happy, tired pups by the end!💤🐾

Everyone’s gone home sandy, sleepy, and smiling — just how we like it❤️

Meet Winnie the 11-week-old Whippet puppy!🩷
I met Winnie and her lovely family last week, and honestly — she’s absolutely adorable (total puppy fever!😍). I’ll be seeing her three times a week, firstly for puppy visits while we work on her confidence and routine before she’s ready to join the group walks. She met Allie today and did amazingly well — already so calm and neutral around other dogs, which is such a fantastic start! 🐾
I’ve already built such a lovely bond with her. She gets so excited and happy when I walk through the door, it melts my heart every time🥹 I can’t wait to watch her grow and see her little personality shine as she becomes part of the gang!💕

Pip the Labrador🩷
This week I’ve had the pleasure of walking Pip every day while her regular dog walker has been away and what an absolute sweetheart she is!! She’s such a credit to her pawrents and her walker: so well-behaved, gentle, and always so happy!
Pip slotted into our group walks perfectly, made new friends straight away, and just went with the flow like she’s always been part of the gang💕
Hope to see you again soon, you’ve been a little star this week!🌟

Izzie & Arnie🩷💙
I had my first walk with these two this week and they did so well! 🥰 I’ll be walking them as and when their lovely mummy needs a hand, but I’ll be seeing a lot more of them next year, which I’m so looking forward to!
Izzie is full of beans — she loves chasing squirrels, sniffing absolutely everything, running around, and of course… food! She’s such a loving, happy girl🩷
Arnie is a little more on the nervous side, but he did brilliantly. With some reassurance (and plenty of treats!) he relaxed and enjoyed himself💙 Their recall is amazing, and they’re both so photogenic — total naturals in front of the camera! 📸🐶
Can’t wait for more adventures with these two gorgeous spaniels! 💕

🌟 Dog of the Week! 🏆
This week’s award goes to… Billy the Golden Retriever 💙
I haven’t seen Billy in what feels like forever, as he’s not been feeling too well recently. He’s an older boy now, so he can’t manage the long walks like he used to… but when I walked in to see him this week, he was so happy to see me and Allie. His whole face lit up, and that tail didn’t stop wagging💛
We went for a nice little stroll today, just a gentle one, and he absolutely loved it. It was so lovely spending time with him again — he’s still as handsome and sweet as ever.

Our First PEAK DISTRICT Adventure Day!❤️🐾🪵🌲

What an absolutely amazing day we’ve had! We’ve seen some of the most beautiful spots in the Peak District — The Roaches, Lud’s Church, and Forest Wood. In total, we hiked for 5.5 hours and covered plenty of miles, climbs, and muddy paws! 🥾🐶
The lucky doggies joining me on this adventure were Boe, Walter, Honey, Cooper, Allie & Rocky. Each one of them smashed it — from steep hill climbs to forest trails and rocky paths, they handled everything like absolute pros!
The weather kept us on our toes — one minute sunshine, the next minute sideways rain and wild winds at the top! 🌧️🌬️☀️…. but the pups didn’t care one bit. We stayed warm, powered through the rain, scrambled up hills, and even stopped for plenty of snack breaks, water and cuddles along the way.
I couldn’t have been prouder of them. Their recall was spot-on in every situation, they all listened beautifully, and it was just so lovely watching them enjoy the freedom of the countryside together. We even got loads of lovely comments from walkers we met on the trail — my absolute favourite being:

“Do you have a husband or kids? Don’t bother — you’re living the best life ever!”🤣

Followed by a few more that made me smile:

“Perfect control, well done!”
“Wow, they’re all so well-behaved!”

It was honestly one of the best days I’ve ever had — just me and my six amazing adventure buddies, exploring new places and making memories that I’ll never forget. 🥰
Safe to say, we’ve got six very tired (but very happy!) pups tonight. ❤️🐾
Here’s to many more adventure days to come!🌄🐶

Simba is the sweetest boy and so well-behaved! He joined one of our group walks this week and was a joy to walk.
We’ll only be seeing Simba every one in a while when his pawrents need care and I’m looking forward to seeing him again soon😁
Skye the German Shepherd🩷
For 7 nights I have looked after the prettiest girl, Skye, whilst her pawrents were away on their holidays!
She’s such a big softie, full of energy and loves being centre of attention. She loved nothing more than a snuggle on an evening and gives the best sloppy kisses❤️
Big the Pug💙
Big is an old boy (around 15!) but still full of life. He’s had a few short walks this week and been a pleasure to take out.
For such a tiny dog, he could wee & poo for England!🤣
It’s been lovely getting to know him this week. Hope to see him again soon🥰
Frankie the Miniature Labradoodle💙
Frankie has joined 3 group walks this week and has loved it! He’s made so many new friends and been on his best behaviour. You wouldn’t believe he’s 10, he looks like a puppy and has the energy of a puppy too!!!

It was Rocky’s 1st birthday this week🎉
Rocky has been joining our group walks for over 3 months now to build his social skills and confidence.
We definitely got off to a “rocky” start 🤣 — his recall was great for the first couple of weeks, but then we hit a few bumps! He became very interested in other dogs (especially the girls 👀), his lead manners needed a bit of work, and a few other challenges popped up along the way.
But after lots of communication and teamwork with his pawrents, we’ve worked hard on his training, and I’m so proud to say he’s doing absolutely amazing! 🙌
Today he joined us on his very first Adventure Day and completely loved it! Rocky has come such a long way, and it’s been so lovely to watch his progress. I can’t wait to make even more memories with you, Rocky! 🥰🐾

Willow has recently started joining me for group walks a few days a week to build her socialisation skills. She’s the most beautiful, sweet and gentle girl! This week she’s loved meeting new friends and settling into the routine🥰
Together with her pawrents, we’re focusing on helping Willow grow in confidence by practicing her recall, staying neutral around other dogs and learning how to walk calmly with a pack. She’s also getting used to meeting lots of different breeds and personalities along the way.
At first, Willow was a little wary of the van and could be quite stubborn about getting in. But now she knows Auntie Bef only ever takes her on fun adventures—she hops straight in, tail wagging, ready to go!
I can already tell we’re going to build such a special bond, Willow. I can’t wait for all the adventures we’ll share together—you and I are going to be the best of friends❤️

It’s officially been 2 years since I started walking our girl Ferny, so this is a very special appreciation award! She’s always such a good girl… full of energy, so happy to see me every time I pick her up for walkies and an absolute joy to walk. Over the years she’s made countless doggy friends, but her very besties are Honey and Allie—those three together are unstoppable!🐾💕

Say hello to this week’s star… Kobi 💙
Kobi turned 1 on Thursday, so it just had to be him! 🎉 We marked the occasion with a birthday walk alongside his friends and a little photoshoot in his party bandana and hat.
He’s been part of our group walks for almost two months now. When he first joined, he was a nervous boy here to build his confidence and get to know Auntie Bef. Now, he hops straight into the van, excited for his adventures with the gang! Kobi is such a handsome lad and a real joy to have on our walks🥰

🐾🐶🏖️ September Adventure Day! 🏖️🐶🐾
Another brilliant beach trip today with 6 lucky pups – Bronte, Indie, Fern, Allie, Honey & Honey (yes, two Honeys! 🐕✨).
The weather wasn’t on our side, with rain from start to finish, but the dogs didn’t let that stop them🌧️ They were diving in and out of the sea, zooming across the sand, chasing each other, and splashing through the waves with endless energy🌊🐾
There’s nothing better than seeing a pack of soggy, sandy, happy dogs enjoying life to the fullest💛A little rain makes the adventure even more exciting!
They all travelled beautifully, got along so well and came home completely worn out – the best kind of tired💤🐶 It’s always amazing to watch their little personalities shine on these trips: the confident swimmers, the sand-diggers, the wave-chasers, and of course the ones who prefer cuddles over chaos. 🐾💦
Can’t wait for the next outing with another fun crew of wagging tails – rain or shine, adventure always awaits! 🐕🏝️✨

Meet Murphy the miniature Labradoodle 💙
I met Murphy a few weeks ago and he’s such a character! We started with a 1-1 trial walk which he absolutely smashed, and this week I introduced him to a couple of other doggies—he loved every second! He was so happy exploring the woods, and I can’t wait to see him a couple of times each week 🥰

I had the pleasure of doing a home visit for these three while their owners were out. They’re such beautiful dogs—so loving, and will do anything for a treat! Hopefully I’ll get to spend more time with them soon 🐶✨

Toby is a rescue all the way from Greece. He may be an older boy now, but you’d never know it—he was full of energy on his very first group walk this week! He’s got the sweetest nature, loves the camera, and I’m looking forward to getting to know him even more 🥰

🌟 This Week’s Dog of the Week is… Harry! 💙🐾
Auntie Bef has had the pleasure of walking Harry for the past 2 weeks while his lovely mummy has been away — and what an absolute superstar he’s been! ✨
From the very first walk, Harry settled in so beautifully. He’s such a well-mannered boy, always listening, walking so nicely, and just being an all-round gentleman. He’s taken every walk in his stride, enjoying his little adventures with Auntie Bef, and has been a total joy to spend time with. 🥰
Harry may only join us occasionally, but he makes a big impression every time. His calm, sweet nature, those gorgeous looks, and his waggy little personality have completely won Auntie Bef’s heart💕

We loved meeting so many wonderful people and their dogs, discovering fantastic businesses, watching talented pups in action, and enjoying some delicious food — and of course, the girls enjoyed their fair share of puppacinos and treats! 🐾

🚶‍♀️🐾 Safety First on Every Walk 🐾🚶‍♀️
There’s been a lot of discussion recently about dog walkers not being able to control their dogs in public, and sadly, it’s something I’ve witnessed too often. Dogs being let off lead with no recall not only puts them at risk, but also creates unsafe situations for others around them.

My priority will always be safety and wellbeing. Every dog in my care is walked according to their needs and abilities:
✅ Dogs with reliable recall and a strong bond with me may enjoy off-lead freedom.
✅ Dogs still learning or new to my care are kept on a long line until trust and recall are established.
✅ Nervous dogs are carefully managed to ensure positive, structured socialisation experiences.
✅ Dogs with no recall will stay on a lead.

I also avoid allowing my group to interact with other walkers’ dogs while out unless I know the people and their dogs. Even the friendliest dogs don’t know each other, and it only takes seconds for things to go wrong.

Our walks always have structure. About 90% of the time is for enjoying, sniffing, running, and playing — giving the dogs freedom to be dogs. The other 10% is focused on on-lead walking as a pack, practising recall, and working on commands such as wait and down. This balance helps build trust, consistency, and focus, while still keeping the walks fun and rewarding.

My aim is always to provide safe, structured, and enjoyable walks where every dog feels secure, cared for, and happy💛
