⭐️ Indoor School Hire FAQs ⭐️
We are getting an increasing number of queries about our indoor school and thought it may be helpful to deal with the most commonly asked questions!
❔How much does it cost to hire?
We charge per 30 minute slot, it is £15 for 30 minutes, so £30 an hour. Each additional horse is charged at £1 for the entire length of your slot. Meaning a full hour for 2 horses will be £31.
❔How do I book?

❔What days and times are available?
Our arena is available to book 365 days a year from 7:30am until 8pm. If a slot is shown as closed or a date does not appear on the list, it means it is already booked or the school is being used for one of our clinics or shut for maintenance.
❔How do I find you?
We’re based in Lower Crabbick Lane in Denmead. The postcode is PO76UQ. When you drive in through the gate, turn left, follow the roadway to the bottom then turn right and keep going straight on, you’ll see the indoor school and parking area right infront of you after you pass the horse walker on your left hand side (it is signposted). The parking area is large enough for a car and trailer to turn without reversing and the area has multiple floodlights to aid with loading/unloading.
❔What size is your arena and what surface?
The arena is 25x45m and is a rubber and silica sand surface which is regularly irrigated, harrowed and rolled to provide the optimum surface conditions all year round. We have worked hard since its installation to get the surface to settle in and ride well.
❔Do you have dressage markers?
We don’t have dressage letters up in the arena at all times due to it not being a standard dressage arena size. We do however, have a partially enclosed dressage arena kit which will be set out ready for you to practice your piaffes at certain times of the month! There are also dressage letters stored in the corner of the arena which you can put out if it will assist you in your session.
❔What equipment is in the arena available for use?
We have a variety of showjumps including various planks, fillers and a hanging gate. These will again be set out ready for use at certain times of the month. At other times, they will be stored neatly in the corners ready for you to set up and use if you choose. The arena is fully floodlit so can be used on the dark winter evenings. There is a mounting block in the right hand corner by the gate which is also where you will find the light switches. There is also a toilet available on site and a small first aid kit stored in the arena for use in emergency situations. We also have a number of staff that hold certificates in first aid and have been trained specifically to deal with injuries often incurred when horse riding.
❔What do I do when I finish my session?
We ask that you leave the arena how you would wish to find it. Please neatly pack away any jumps or equipment used and pick up your horses’ poo! Please ensure the lights are switched off and that the gate is closed and secured before you leave. Don’t forget we have a hot wash and solarium on site which is available to our liveries and school hire clients. If you would like to give your horse a bath and pamper session before you leave, just remember to bring your £1 coins and pop a comment on your booking.
❔Do you hold clinics in your arena and when are the showjump course/dressage boards set up?
We host a variety of clinics from dressage to jumping, horse agility to longlining. All clinics arranged by us are listed on my riding life with details on how to book. There will also be one week every month when the dressage boards are out, and one week when the showjumps out, the dates for these vary month on month as they depend on our clinic dates. Please check my riding life when booking. When nothing is set out ready, the sessions are labelled “indoor arena hire”, when a showjump course is up sessions are labelled “indoor showjump course hire” and when the dressage boards are out “indoor dressage arena hire”.
❔Can I bring my own instructor?
Absolutely! We suggest you check with them prior to booking as a number of regular instructors hold their own discount codes for our venue and may be able to book for you at a discounted rate.
❔What do I do if I have booked but cannot attend my session?
We understand that at times, things happen that are outside our control and our four legged friends decide they only need 3 shoes or just fancy a duvet day so hop around on 3 hooves. In circumstances where you are unable to attend your booking, if you contact us on [email protected] with a minimum of 24 hours notice, we will move your booking to an alternative date and time. Please state in the email the name that the booking is under, the original date and time of the booking and the date and time you would like to move your booking to. Please check in advance that the date and time you are asking to move your booking to is available before requesting this. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds on school bookings.
❔Can I just book to use the solarium and/or hotwash?
Unfortunately we do not take separate bookings for the solarium and hot wash, they are available to use before or after your arena session.
