Any of my customers looking for a dog walker, I highly recommend Nicki Sid she is absolutely amazing with animals, her own dog has the best adventure walks, he is like a pampered king. Your dog would be in good, safe hands with a 5* service!

Morning! My name is Nicki, a 39 year old mental health nurse who has toyed with the idea of dog walking for some time now. I have a labrador, a cat and a hen!

I aim to do this, currently, alongside my nursing job so I appreciate I might not be for everyone as at present I cannot commit to mon-fri. I do however only work 2-3 days a week in my nursing job - so am looking to try and see what I can do and putting the feelers out! I love being outside, dogs and walking, whatever the weather! It's my happy place - so why not try make some dogs happier in the process! Message me with any questions. I'm happy to let dogs out/feed cats etc.

By the time I start I will be insured and looking to complete pet first aid. I don't think my first aid at work will cover me 🤣

Thanks so so much everyone for confirming all bookings for 2025 and booking in advance. I have tried to be as fair as I can, as competitive as I can for the service that I provide whilst at the same time looking after my own mental health and wellbeing.

I can’t thank you all enough for continuing to allow me to pamper your fur babies, most of you know me well, as I chat to you all for hours, you know I will always provide your doggie with the best service I can. I’m always researching new products, different courses and my equipment is always serviced and kept up to standard. I love putting everything I have into my little business, I can’t wait to return to work on 9th 💕 see you all soon.

Also here at Allsopps almost human we do ultra sonic teeth cleaning, as important as your dogs groom. Over the years I have achieved some fantastic results, fur babies are plaque and tartar free. I can’t explain how important it is to check your dogs teeth, no insurance policy covers teeth, it is apparently cosmetic, it’s better to prevent than deal with it down the line and pay vet bills of thousands, think ahead and be smart.

Initial treatment is £45 this includes your dogs own ultra sonic tooth brush. I don’t string appointments out I don’t tell you that your dog needs to keep coming back daily, it is a 5* geniuine service to get your dog’s teeth to back how they should be.

Maintenance cleans which I advise every other groom ( on a 6 week schedule) are now £30, again if you book these in throughout the year, your dog is groomed here, you will receive a 10% discount on this price.

FEW CHANGES/PRICE INCREASE/PLEASE READ

Happy new year to you all, wishing you a healthy and happy 2025.

Prior to confirming appointments for 2025 I would like to inform you that I will have to increase my prices this year, I haven’t had an increase since starting my business, this was against advise as I wanted to gain experience, become confident at what I do and ensure I do the right thing by you all.

I am now at a stage where I am confident and your furbaby will receive 5* treatment, I will be keeping up with courses to better my skills where I can.

I have now received business and account advise, due to everything going up in price and the cost of living It has forced my hand as I’ve actually worked for less than minimum wage over the year l, as you know I take my time, play with the dogs, photograph your dogs and always go above and beyond. I’m 100% not all about money but I have to make a few extra pounds so I can live a little which admittedly I haven’t put as a priority this year.

Few of my overheads.

Electric ( dryer, bath, washer and dryer constantly on, lights) Heating, Water, Blade replacement, Scissor sharpening, High quality products , clipper service, Cleaning product, Featured walls, Courses to ensure I keep up with current trends, useful tips and keep my skills up to date and first aid in check to ensure the welfare of your babies, Business clothing, Advertisement fees.

I totally understand if it now becomes out of your budget, no questions will be asked, I would just ask if you can just say ‘unfortunately I can’t afford it’ just so I know where I am at with customers on the books.

This is actually last years pricing that I should have introduced but I will be introducing it this year.

I will confirm the cost with you on confirmation of each booking. One thing I will be strict on this year is matting, there will be additional charges, as per below. This is unkind to the dog and blunts my blades, at a cost of £30 plus per each blade! I do not attempt De matting, again for welfare reasons, the dog will be shaved.

I will be offering a 5% discount if you book your furbaby in each 6-8 weeks and over a 12 month period, I will allow 10 weeks if you opt for a very short cut ( I will be flexible if holidays are booked etc but obviously not each appointment )
You will receive an additional 5% off for more than one dog.

Cancellation policy - I appreciate geniuine emergencies can’t be helped, however please bare in mind it is my wage and I account for it when paying bills etc I will be using a system for reminders so forgetting an appointment shouldn’t be an issue. The same policy applies, I require 48 hours notice allowing time for the appointment to be filled, within 24 hours it will be 50% of the cost and less than that It will be the full cost of the groom.

Payment - please ensure that you have paid by cash or completed the bank transfer prior to leaving, it is taking me extra time to go over payment.

Alongside my new prices I’ve attached pets at home prices ( probably shouldn’t do that) I am a one to one service which makes my over heads much much more than a company like pets at home or others that occupy more than one dog at a time. My prices are competitive and like above you will get a discount if you book in advance.

The between costs below are dependant on the size of your dog, as you know cockapoos come in all different sizes as do other breeds, please see the size guide below.

This is a message from the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you all enough for the cards, gifts, tips, kind words, time spent chatting, believing in me, recommending me, supporting me and being so geniuine. I know a lot of you know, as I wear my heart on my sleeve, I had a rough deal in my last job and was very poorly, I lost faith in people, didn’t trust and was lost. You have honestly all restored my faith in believing that there are geniuine people, I think the universe has sent them all to me. I can’t quite believe how my little business has taken off, thank you so so much for choosing me ❤️

I’m so excited to see what 2025 has in store, I have made some wonderful friends who I hope I get to spend time with.

I am now off until 9th January as I am in need of a
rest. Thank you to everyone who has sent messages confirming dates/times for bookings next year, I will set a day aside to confirm. Please if you haven’t done so, work out your dates and fire me a message, I won’t reply straight away but when I’ve rested a bit I will sort appointments out.

For now, I won’t be taking on any new customers as I am most definitely at my limit and need to do a few adjustments next year to ensure good health.
