When we are dog walking we aim to be the highlight in your dog's day. I have had dogs most of my life, many of them being rescues & I canβt imagine not having them in my life. These include Penny the fluffy crossbreed, Brick the German Shepherd and police dog reject who still loved to grab the wrists of passers-by, Poppy the Welsh Springer Spaniel who once ate an entire bag of mini Mars bars wrapp
ers and all (fortunately to no ill effect) and Tina the German Shepherd who refused to let anyone in the house unless they were wearing an item of clothing with my scent on it! Now we have Lottie who had had 3 owners before we got her at 15 months old, none of whom could cope with how hyper she was. Apparently she used to leap right over the kitchen table & literally climb the kitchen walls at her last owners. Now she is a much more sedate 11 year old but sometimes she is still a work in progress! So I know how important it is to have someone trustworthy & reliable who treats the dog as if they are their own to look after them. I offer a free no obligation meet & greet so please get in touch so we can discuss your needs. My life has not just been full of dogs but with many other pets too. We had a rescued cat called Garfield who was missing one of his fangs & his tail due to a car accident & who once came home with a neighbourβs koi carp still flapping in his mouth. We had a rabbit called Lucy who was pregnant when we got her (unbeknown to us) so we were rather shocked to discover 12 babies one morning. We had a budgie called Bluie who used to say nite nite to himself and several guinea pigs, firstly Sporticus & Ziggy (you can perhaps tell that my children liked Lazy Town on Cbeebies at the time!) More recently we have had Rita & Maisie. Unfortunately Rita passed away last year so we just have Maisie now. I have completed a course in Animal Care & Pet First Aid & CPR so I have the knowledge & confidence to be able to help should an issue arise. During these new & uncertain times, I am taking lots of precautions to limit the risks of coronavirus. These include washing my hands between each dog walk, using my own dog leads and using anti-bac to wipe down any surface I touch within the ownerβs home such as doors & door handles. Meet & greets are now done on the doorstep.
