The long summer holidays offers the chance to spend a bit more time with ponies 🐴 😄🐴

We're running Summer Pony Days for mainstream riders where theres the chance to ride, have a go at horse agility and learn more about horse-care and yard work, all whilst having fun!

These days are running on Wednesdays from 10am - 4pm on 27th July, 3rd August, 17th August & 31st August.

These days are for mainstream participants at all riding ability levels. Participants will be split by ability for the ridden sessions. You don't have to be a rider at our centre to take part in these days.

Its our 🐴 EQUINE CAR BOOT SALE 🐴 with MINI MAKERS MARKET this Friday at 6.30pm, DE65 5PL

Its always a busy event with up to 50 pitches plus this time an additional equine related craft area! Plenty of bargains and great finds for all 😁 Coffee bar open all evening for refreshments ☕️

We've been offered a fantastic versatile 👩‍🦽 wheelchair lift 👨‍🦽to help our participants here at Scropton Riding for the Disabled - the only problem is it's in Northumberland so we need to find a way to get it to our centre in Scropton, Derbyshire.

🚛 Is there anyone who might be travelling back from that area with space in their transport who could bring it back for us?

🚛 Its 1.7m (height) x Im (width) x 1.9m (length) and weighs around 120kg.

We desperately need a bigger horse for Scropton Riding for the Disabled. We've had some lovely ponies join our team but they're too small for some of our riders so we still have a lot of people on our waiting list that we can't help at the moment 😞

It's a tough market out there for buying & selling horses and we can't react as quickly as private buyers so we keep missing out on the right horse.

Do you know of a horse coming up for sale that could be right for us? We need:
🐴 15.2hh or over and over 6 years old
🐴 Safe to handle on the ground
🐴 Ideally capable of basic dressage movements & small jumps
🐴 Sorry no stallions

We hire out our indoor & outdoor arenas, coffee bar & function room and adjacent lorry parking, all within easy access of the A50 on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire Border.

Our complete centre is available for hire all day on Sundays and Mondays, and our outdoor arena has plenty of availability throughout the week.

We provide a loving home with the best of care and a variety of work, both ridden and ground based. We know how important it is for your horses next home to be right, and so you are welcome to visit us to see what we do, and to keep in touch with us and your horse going forward.

We are looking for horses to buy or loan that are:

Are you struggling to find the time to look after your horse?

We have a solution that could help you out; we are looking for more horses to join our small team and are happy to consider horses on loan.

At our centre we know how important your horse is to you and we make sure while they are with us they get the best care with our very knowledgeable staff. Owners are also able to come and visit and get regular updates throughout the year on how they are getting on.

We're looking for horses that are:
🐴 13hh - 16hh and over 6 years old
🐴 Safe to handle on the ground
🐴 Ideally capable of basic dressage movements & small jumps

Saturdays at 10.30am and 3.45pm
Tuesdays at 5.15pm
Weekly or fortnightly options available
All our lessons are in small groups with qualified experienced coaches
30 minute lessons for £17.10 per session

The roadworks are back in Scropton 😯 !!!

Watery Lane roadworks have restarted between our centre and the centre of Scropton village. This means that the only way to reach our centre is from the A50 end of Watery Lane.

There are still some road closed signs and bollards on the stretch of Watery Lane that you will be travelling along, but ignore these as you can still access our centre.

The road works are expected to last another 2 weeks 😩 so please make sure you allow some extra time for travelling to us so that you arrive in plenty of time
