On Saturday 15th March I will be jumping from a plane at 14000ft (hopefully attached to someone who knows what they're doing and has a parachute) and I will be raising money for Treetops Hospice.

A lot of you will know that Treetops were a wonderful source of support for us as a family when my beautiful mum was diagnosed with cancer and then dementia.

We lost mum in September 2022 and it has taken me until now to pluck up the courage to do this for her, and to support lots of other families who rely on the support and care available from Treetops Hospice.

Many of you know that I re-opened the cattery with dad in memory of mum, the last thing we could do to make her proud.

Well, then I thought I could do something else, something that fits my personality!!

I know lots of you will think I'm mad and there's easier ways of supporting the charity, but for me it's about doing something out of my comfort zone too. I'm an awful passenger in the car, so I can only guess what I will be like diving head first from a plane, BUT, I will do this, I will do it for mum and for Treetops to help them continue the amazing work they do.

I actually saved the link to this on 15th December and it's taken a month or so to find the courage to sign up, but today I've signed up!!

Here's where you lovely lot come in..... I've set myself a target of £500 to raise for Treetops, the smallest sponsorship of just £1 will help me to meet that target and if any of you have any spare change down the back of the sofa etc, I'll gladly accept it!!

You all know I'm mad as a box of frogs - this proves it!!

Thank you for reading if you got this far - this charity really does deserve every penny raised and I sincerely hope as few of you as possible need their services and support in the future.

Bookings are coming in very fast now for the spring and summer.

We have limited availability left for Easter and August is also looking very busy.

Springfield Cattery will close for annual maintenance and a well-earned break on 18th January and re-open on 1st February.

For any bookings required during these dates, please consider Conifer Kennels and Cattery - personal recommendation from me and it's where my cats stay when we go away (or when I forget to book a space for them at Springfield!!)

Please note we are now onto our Autumn/Winter opening hours from 10am - 12 noon daily.

There is no PM drop off or collection available (unless by prior arrangement).

We will revert to our afternoon opening in March 2025.

Tuesday 24th December (Christmas Eve) - open 9.30am to 10.30am only for drop offs
Wednesday 25th December (Christmas Day) - CLOSED
Thursday 26th December (Boxing Day) - CLOSED
Friday 27th December - open 9.30am to 10.30am only for drop off/collection.
Saturday 28th December - open 10am to 12 noon
Sunday 29th December - open 10am to 12 noon

Monday 1st January - CLOSED

We are open as usual from 2nd to 16th January with drops and collections daily between 10am and 12 noon

Closed Friday 17th - Friday 31st January for annual maintenance.

We do not take deposits, nor surcharges for busy periods - we do ask that our customers give as much notice as possible if dates change/you need to cancel. Cancellation fees do apply during our peak times - please see our website for more details.

We currently have only four pens available for Christmas 2024 and our opening times are as follows:

Please remember to bring your up to date vaccination card with you to every visit, we cannot board your cats without this.

It's been another really busy summer at the cattery, thanks to all our lovely customers.

We continue to be fully booked until 24th September when we have a few spaces available.

Into October we continue to be busy with only a few spaces left for half term.

Christmas is almost fully booked too and we will close for annual maintenance from 16th to 31st January 2025.

Our diary for 2025 is now open and taking bookings.

Please don't leave it until the last minute for bank holidays and school holidays as we will be fully booked!!

Happy International Cat Day!!!
Pic one is Bacon who arrived with us around Christmas time, a scrap of a thing who shouldn't really have left her mum and was no more than 5 weeks old. We've nursed her, fed her, loved her and she's now probably as big as she's going to get and totally rules the roost.

Pic 2 is Salem, he adopted us during lockdown and true to do he's out exploring so I can't get an actual pic of him! Look at where he's been though!! Yes I have a tracker on him 😂
