Well aren’t I lucky! 💕🖤

A lot of people have asked me lately how I got in to grooming dogs, so here’s my story on how I chose the best job in the world! ☺️🐶

After finishing college at 17 I realised I didn’t want to work in the field I’d chosen and knew I just had to work with animals!

I had NO idea what I wanted to do, I explored veterinary medicine, zoology and many other options with a multitude of animals. But non of them were as appealing as working with just dogs!

At 18 I enrolled on a dog grooming course and never looked back! Grooming school was one of the best experiences of my life! I absolutely loved every bit of it and couldn’t wait to start professionally! ✂️ 🐩

After finishing college I landed my first grooming job as well as volunteer grooming for a local rescue, preparing adopted dogs for their new homes with a fresh bath and trim.

After working for a few businesses I realised I had to start the next journey of my dream and open my own business!

I put on my big girl pants, hired an accountant and got my set up! After starting the business in 2019, I thought I’d made the worse mistake when hit with covid! I had to close the business temporarily and didn’t know if I could get it back up BUT with my dedication and the help of my AMAZING customers, Dog Grooming By Hayley survived and I have now been self employed for 6 years!

Roll on the February 2025 and I started working from home where I now get to work and spend coffee breaks with my own babies!

I haven’t made this journey by myself!
Every like or share, every comment and review, every booking and referral and each and everyone of my customers, family and friends have helped me to succeed and I could not be more grateful!

So, a big thank you to all and don’t forget to brush your dog! 🤣 💕🖤
