We still have a little availability left this year for dog home boarding. We board small adult dogs up to cockapoo size who are compatible with our own lovely Lola. All dogs who stay have a visit first so that I can see if the doggy dynamics are ok and if this goes well we arrange a trial overnight stay before I can commit to a longer booking. This really helps new dogs to settle with us. Unfortunately we can't board high energy dogs or puppies as Lola isn't comfortable with them.

The New Year is nearly here !! We still have availability left for 2025 for bookings of cat and other small pet visits if you need petcare while you take a holiday or work away.
We can look after any type of pet including reptiles, fish, birds ( including poultry) ferrets and other small furries as well as bigger pets such as goats. We cover a 6 mile radius from Alvaston, Derby. My friend Monty came to stay recently and really relaxed with us,he is a rescue dog with lots of worries so it was fantastic to see him settle in and do a lot of snoozing. Monty used to have home visits from me so he knew me already which definitely helped. Usually we can't take Springers or similar dogs because our own little dog is uncomfortable with their high energy levels and also with the size difference an accident could easily happen. However ,Monty is an elderly dog who takes life at a slower pace and was very considerate of our small , calm girl and in turn she was happy with his company. ❤️

Beautiful Belle had her initial visit a couple of weeks ago and then last night was her first overnight stay, it was a big success and so now Belle will be coming for her long holiday next year.
All dogs who stay here must have an initial visit followed by at least one overnight stay before I can commit to a longer booking as I have to ensure that the doggy dynamics between a new boarder and our own little dog are ok . Everyone needs to feel happy and safe here at our Doggy Hotel and this is one of the reasons I cannot take a last minute booking for a dog who hasn't been before. I thought I would make you all laugh with today's selfie 🤣
People often ask me if we still do dog walks if it rains or snows..... an innocent question I know but yes, of course we do. As well as boarding we have 19 dogs to walk and / or visit for many reasons; owners out at work that day, attending hospital appointments , had an emergency, elderly customers who can no longer walk their beloved pet, customers who have disabilities, attending funerals , the list is endless. We love our job and between Les and I and with help from my friends Cathy and Lisa, my sister Liz and my daughter in law Leah we make sure that all our customers get help when it's needed, including getting dog sitting cover for boarders if we both need to cover walks etc ( or go shopping !! ) We also have help from Kayleigh at Kayleigh's Cute Companions and Gavin at WalK925 when we have time off. Thanks a million everyone for all your help. ❤️
We all love doing this job and looking after all the dogs, cats, rabbits fish, tortoises, parrots, guinea pigs, ferrets, chickens etc , a bit of rain or snow and we carry on as normal , ditching the car and walking a mile through snow sometimes to get to a house, so apologies if I laugh when I'm asked if we still do walks if it rains 🤣🤣

Mo ( left ) and Luna had their first visits from me a few weeks ago and quickly realised that I was there to feed them, give them treats, change their water and clean the litter tray. After a couple of visits they were ready for some fuss and a play. Chase the treat in the tunnel was Luna's favourite game while Mo preferred to chase the treat that hid on a chair ! Lovely cats ❤️

When we have a few days break without boarding or daycare dogs our own pup Lola and our cat Mollie have plenty of time to chill out and rest. Mollie is in a different part of the house when dogs stay so she particularly enjoys sleeping on the 'dog sofa ' and a few minutes of garden time each day, she's an old lady at nearly 13 so sleeping is what she likes most.❤️

I recently looked after Faffy, a big Sulcata tortoise while her owners had a holiday. Faffy is gorgeous !! I loved looking after her and preparing her meals and sorting her heating and lighting and giving her a lovely soak / bath which she thoroughly enjoyed. I can't wait to look after her again ❤️

Gorgeous Nellie went home yesterday after her 8 nights holiday with us. Nellie loved sofa snuggles, sniffing around in the garden, walks and going to Pawsome Pasture for a fantastic, safe, offlead run with Lola and our other boarder Dylan.
Nellie is coming to stay again soon. Lovely Nellie ❤️

Bob and Olly really love some fuss when I visit them, Bob especially loves his tummy tickles which is quite unusual . For most cats I would say "don't try this at home !" 🤣 It's very calming for me too, especially when I have had a bad traffic day and tight deadlines, animals are good for my soul. ❤️

Casey had visits from me recently, at 18 years old she is remarkable and although deaf could feel the vibrations of the doors opening and closing when I arrived. Casey loved her fuss time and I still chatted to her in case she could hear a little bit or feel it through my hands. What a lovely little lady. ❤️

I recently looked after these fish, amazing colours and so relaxing to look at. As soon as I walked into the room each day they got excited and swam to the surface ready for food !!! The catfish stayed at the bottom but they too swam about all excited in anticipation of their meal , wonderful ! ❤️

Gorgeous Ralph had his first overnight stay recently , here he is mastering a treat puzzle with a little help to get him started , lovely boy. ❤️
