Calm & connect with your horse
Rhythm beads have been associated with calming horses for centuries. Dating back to the native Americans; who decorated their horses with hand carved beads, shells & feathers, to honour and show how important the horse was to them. Today, rhythm beads are usually made with modern materials: beads, bells, charms etc. Whilst they look decorative, they still have many uses; with all the external distractions both horse & riders experience on a daily basis, rhythm beads can help the horse ‘tune out’ those other distractions and focus on the job in hand. Riders also find rhythm beads a calming influence, as the gentle jingle of beads & bells, in time with the horse’s gait, helps relax and focus the rider too.

I started designing and making rhythm beads as I was looking for ways to improve both my mare & my own confidence out hacking, as I had had a break from riding, and found returning to it, brought new challenges! I wanted a natural method that didnt mean feeding drugs, or spending a fortune on trial & error supplements. I had heard of rhythm beads, so searched online butdidn’t see what I was looking for, so I decided to make my own! i then received lots of compliments, made some more for friends & then gradually it grew!
I really enjoy creating bespoke designs for customers, creating something unique for them and their horse, maybe in their own unique colour combinations.
