🐾Meet Mabel the show cocker 🐾
Mabel came in for her first groom with me today and did so well . She was a little nervous so we took it slowly and found ways around the bits she wasn’t too keen on .

Benji came in today for his bath and deshed , and as always was a very good boy , he enjoyed posing for his Christmas picture too❄️

Bonnie the Golden Retriever joined her sister Bella for the first time coming to see me , for a bath , good de-shed and light scissor tidy .Her owner warned me of her energetic and lively character but Bonnie was on her best behaviour and did amazing for her first time . Bella had her usual hand strip and breed standard trim and as you can see it was clearly hard work for them both as they needed a good nap straight after 🐾

Dogs that are on a 8-12 +week schedule may not need a full groom until this time however keeping on top of the following areas is important for maintaining good health for your dog-

10-15 Minute appointments

🐾Nail Trim - these need to be cut regularly to prevent them curling into pads and to allow your dog to walk comfortably .The more often trimmed , the shorter the nail can go
🐾Ears cleaned - excessive wax or hair in the ear canal should be plucked out and the outside of the ear cleaned to help prevent ear infections
🐾Face tidy / eye clear - some dogs with longer hair cuts may need a little trim in between their next groom so they can see better and to help prevent them getting sores under the eyes from eye discharge .

🐾Meet Milo the adorable 6 month old Cockerpoo puppy ! He came in for a puppy session which includes a bath , dry , brush , hygiene clip , eye clear , foot tidy , nail trim and ear clean .
These sessions are so important to introducing your puppy to grooming as getting them used to and comfortable to the process and groomer from a young age helps make them feel relaxed and less stressed to all the new aspects of grooming as it can all be quite overwhelming.

🐾I would always advise that owners bring their dog in for frequent puppy sessions after they are fully vaccinated , up untill your puppy is 7 months when they can then have their full groom which includes clipping their hair as their adult coat is usually ready by this time

🐾Magic and Juno the Standard Poodles 🐾
I have been grooming these girls for a few years now and what a pleasure they are to have !
Poodles are one of my favourite breeds to groom and I have loved developing my skills and knowledge on different poodle styles over the years .

Meet Big Barney the Bernese Mountain Dog X
Poodle !!!
He is such a big softie but doesn’t quite realise his size . Barney finds grooming and being apart from his owners a bit stressful so it’s really important for me to give him breaks for one on one attention to help make him feel safe and settled with me and in a different environment 🐾

Gruff Puff and Shadow 🐾
Shadow came in for a bath and well needed de-shed , many think that smooth or short coated breeds don’t need grooming but it’s surprising how much dead hair there is to come out !!
Gruff had his usual and his owner likes his ears to be left which makes him look even cuter 🥰

Little Winnie came in with Fifi today for her first groom 🐾 She took some convincing that having a bath and dry wasn’t as bad as she thought it might be , but with lots of reassurance … and some bribery, we gained her trust and she did so well !

Meet Rosie the Cockerpoo 🐾
I always enjoy grooming Rosie and she has a stunning coat to scissor . She can be a bit shy to start with but after her groom is over she comes out of her shell and wants plenty of fuss and play time !

Max the Golden Doodle 🐾
Max is the sweetest , happiest elderly boy and the oldest dog I groom at 16 and a half years old !!! We take plenty of time to do his groom as all the standing isn’t quite as easy as it used to be for him .

Brough and Tumble the Border Terriers 🐾
This was the borders second visit to me for their hand strip and it’s fair to say the amount of hair that came out of them was pretty impressive !
I like to do the majority of the groom on the floor with these two as I find they are more comfortable sitting on my lap and being able to be with each other .
They both seem to have a very peculiar way of how they like to sit while they wait there turn which you will see in the pictures 😆

Meet Merlin the Minature poodle 🐾 I have been grooming Merlin since he was a puppy so have got to know him well .I like to take my time with him as he can be a bit anxious but he is always on his best behaviour ! And what a lovely red coat he has !

Meet Benji one of the few golden oldies I have had the pleasure to groom 🐾 He is a Border collie mix and did amazingly well for having his first ever groom at 13 years old !!
I did a lot of the brushing out on the floor letting benji lay down to help make him feel more comfortable as his arthritis makes it hard for him to stand for long periods .He is the sweetest old boy and loved his belly rubs after we where all done

Riley is a Jack Russel cross who comes to see me every 10 weeks for his groom . He is such a happy, affectionate boy and I would say obsessed isn’t even enough to describe his love for the purple ball , which I have to make sure is there for him every time he comes 🐾

Meet Daisy the Havanese and Skye the Westie cross breed 🐾
Both these girls get hand scissored which takes some time to do but they are both so patient and stand brilliantly for me .They have beautiful coats and are just adorable !

Teddy came to me for a well needed haircut and was feeling and looking like a different dog after !
He loved the attention and wanted all the cuddles he could get after his groom and did so well to eventually trust me with sc******ng his feet .

Ernie 🐾

Ernie is a young Lab who comes to me every 8 weeks for his bath and brush out .He has a very calm and gentle nature and I think it’s fair to say his favourite part about coming for his groom is when he gets time to play after !

Meet little Bruno the 6 month old Norfolk terrier x sporting Lucas terrier !
He came in today for his first groom and was such a delight and very affectionate 🐾

His owners wanted him to have a scruffy look so he had a light hand strip all over to put the shape in and a very good de- shed .

🐾Arlo🐾
Arlo is a Border Terrier who gets hand stripped which is breed standard , and underneath all that hair , he has a lovely smooth coat .He absolutely loves all the attention and play breaks he gets while he’s being groomed , which is also very important as hand stripping can be a very long process for any dog !

Little fifi is just adorable !! This was her second groom with me and she is a delight to groom .Her owners likes her nice and long and fluffy so I do a hand scissor groom all over , and while I’m busy sc******ng Fifi tends to fall asleep !

Meet Zak !
He is a 8 year old Border Collie who came to me for his first ever groom 🐾He has such a lovely temperament and was a very good boy
He had a bath and VERY good deshed and left natural with no sc******ng as owners requested
