Hey Everyone π
So here it is very exciting an ideal time to share this new programme and community to be a part of π
My new Breathe programme!
(video below)
How does it work? How do I get involved?
This programme is looking at you and your dogs journey through a new lens. Not just focusing on what we have always done, training, what our dogs get fed, what leads and harnesses to use I could go on.
How all the areas in the breathe programme can be the change and new learning and understanding you need to transform your journey for you and your dog.
A place where you can be helped, supported and open about your experiences. A place where there is no pressure and you can feel comfortable and at ease with your learning. That doesn't need to feel like that thing you have to try and fit in with everyday life and there is just no time.
Small things can become the biggest and best things that happen to you and your dog.

Happy friday everyone π
Going into the weekend on a high a great week starting to catch up on 121 training sessions π
Puppy environmentals giving control and focus around other distractions whilst handling skills and clipping on and off leads to associate a non event of going off straight away lead always attached at one point until this is solid and more control great work π
Do you remember how excited you were when you saw a hill in the woods??? My walking buddy zooming into Friday π€£π
Good morning everyone π
A fun video for a Wednesday morning anything is possible π€£π
So I thought I would share a morning with my girls π
Yes this is possible my what people called reactive girly was very chasey and loves a furry animal to chase around but no more π
My spaniel is very laid back π€£π
We had a squirrel doing morning yoga and a pair doing their trapeze skills along the fence π€£ I think the music is apt too π€£
Learning and understanding how to get better behaviours for your dogs is what I get to help you with π
This is a great win to remember no matter what the rest of the day throws at you growing and being that 1% better everyday π
Happy Saturday everyone π
I hope you all have a great weekend π
Me and the girls were up bright and early this morning to avoid the heat π
Interaction with your dogs on walks is so important to build great connection, good recall and proximity to you and helps build trust and what they love doing which will also help your relationship. So my seniors love 'middle' it's great for all the above and their mental health, fitness and to keep them enriched and keep their minds healthy π
As you can see one loves her food and one loves her ball they are different and that's okay π always working with the dog in front of you is key π
It doesn't have to be perfect π
Happy Saturday everyone π
What a difference it can make to a dog like mine who loved the chase, was reactive at times and could not disengage from 'events' π
Confidence building, Disengagement and tolerance of frustration and calmness was a key with working with her π
Was great to see responding and being able to be interested but then 'non of my business attitude' and removing herself and taking my guidance and our favourite game of 'middle' to break it up and for her to feel comfortable π
Both my girls have done amazing and just because I'm a trainer doesn't mean I don't relate to everything you go through as I go through the emotions and struggles as you do. It's just I have the tools in the tool box to deal with it easier π
Remember it's not just the dog that goes through these things in life we do too π
Always remember to celebrate your wins and the wonderful things are dogs are capable of and not let the negatives get in our way to transformation π
Have a great weekend everyone π
Happy gorgeous Sunday everyone ππ
Today is about major wins and the positive attitude and positive associations with the environment π
Even as a trainer did I think I would ever get to the point of no reactions and one of my girlie's as NOT seeing everything as an event and having that chase instinct???
With the right guidance and dealing with your dogs emotions and how they see the world this is possible on your journey with your dogs. Does it take time of course, but it's all about the experiences our dogs get and where the value lies for them π
Do they have calmness skills, disengagement skills, tolerance of frustration skills?
Understanding and listening is key for us all on this dog owning journey π
It can be done π
My girls at the beach and the horse tribe π
What are your wins today???
If you would like help on your journey pop me a message π
Hey everyone π
So I hope you all get to see this. The other day I posted a video of our walk and interaction with walking by sheep.
Amazing the other day right, focused on me and non of her business π
What was the difference today?........
You would not have seen what happened before...
Interaction on lead 10mins before with a dog that was barking and growling at them π stressful right (not for me as I know my girls and will guide them through it and breathe through it all myself as uncontrollable and gave them a better outcome)
But.. my collie x shep has a small stress bucket which meant anything novel would then cause her to either produce unwanted behaviours or not be able to deal with her emotions.
So this time to make sure she doesn't fail and can deal with them I put both dogs on for safety and rewarded my focused girly through it and allowed my what you would call chasey reactive girl to work through it as she was not able to disengage. I wasn't pushing her and wanted her to not have a bad experience by making it an event.
We kept moving! Important! and then when she was comfortable yes! The focus was back and she was able to make better decisions. Then plenty of praise and ball interaction π
There could have been 3 things the good, the bad and the ugly. We don't want to get to the bad really and definitely not the ugly. We only despite her conflicting emotions it was good throughout, no lunging, barking just too focused π
we want our dogs to succeed in the environment and it can be hard for ALL DOGS dependent on their stress buckets and their emotions. We want good associations and not for it to become and event as 'your dog becomes more of what it does everyday' and making this an important event they will remember it and so will you and our emotions then play a part too π
I hope this helps you understand more and if you would like help with this please pop me a message let's have better outcomes π
Better menta
Morning everyone π
Lovely day and morning walk with the girls topping up our distraction work sheep and lambs π
Can a chasing, movement focused reactive dog achieve these great skills yes!
Once upon a time there would be no doubt my collie x shep would have gone straight through the fencing or even over it for the chase and after the bleeting lambs. What a big event for her...... I would never put her in a situation she was not able to cope with and make a bad decision!
My spaniel on the other hand is laid back and has never really seen anything as an event π€£
Once you fully understand what skills they need and help and guidance this is possible off lead freedom around distractions. Being aware of your dogs limitations is key, confidence building, Disengagement, tolerance of frustration have been our main focus, great associations in the environment ππ
If I can help you on your journey please pop me a message π

Happy Saturday everyone π
So me and the girls thought we would show you a little of our training on our walk this morning π
My spaniel is off lead so full responsibility on her, control, and also speeding her up a little and getting her to search to help stimulate her senior brain and keep her body moving nothing to fast but allow free movement and always the favourite position 'middle' their breakfast as rewards π
My collie x shep is on lead so responsibility is shared in her behaviour options and for her to always win and not produce a behaviour I dont want. Slowing her down as she is very easily frustrated and understanding that speeding her up to much isn't good for her stress bucket. So searching for her breakfast, loose lead associations and calming her down after her walk and her very favourite (which you see her try a couple of times 'middle' ) that's her safe space that she wants to go to when overwhelmed. I understand her needs so I try and slow her down and refocus (dogs in distance) π
Little things everyday happy dogs happy owners π
Have a great weekend everyone π
Hey everyone π happy novelty geese day! π€£
Wanted to share this video of my girls and yes I was quick when the stalking geese landed to get my phone out π€£
Every journey starts with the first step, was this built on understanding and working on the subjects I have been posting about recently that connect us and building great associations and good experiences YES π
Was my what they call my 'reactive' girly always this good at distractions NO. Did I always completely understand her needs NO. Did I punish myself that I needed to do better YES. Did I change my mindset around her training and working on 'us both' YES! π
Was it hard work to get us to where we are NO π
Did the loss of my gorgeous beagles affect her in anyway NO! I know that may seem like she didn't love them they were our family π but I was able to use my knowledge and understanding to make this so that my girls were not affected by this. Happy girls and great experiences and mindset knowing my beagles had a great life too really helped me through.π
There are so many opportunities to change a situation, our thoughts and to celebrate even the smallest of wins and see more of the positive than the negative and today this was huge for my girls even as seniors π
So no matter where you are on your dog training journey, your personal journey after losing your best friend, your relationship journey with your dog it's all information that we can work with π
Simple solutions with great results π
Come along to my Free live event posted on my page. I will be explaining about this and how it can work for you and your dog. I will be covering ill health dogs, seniors and loss too π
For more information on helping you get these results for you and your dogs and about mindset coaching! Pop me a message π
