No offers of a retirement home or even a foster home for poor Kyro 😥💔

It’s hard not to feel bad for the older doggies looking for a home. Most people want a dog that they will enjoy for at least a few years. Not many want a dog that won’t be around for much longer. Like Kyro who is 13.

He’s still got plenty of bounce in him and is doing great for his age. He was always a much loved dog and is a real pet.

Kyro is a really snuggle bug, great with kids and with other dogs. He is housetrained and just adores his humans.

He will need a home where someone is home most of the day as he is a bit clingy.🥰 He is also reactive when out on walks so his new home must understand this.

Wee cora has come back in for rehoming through no fault of her own.
She's a class dog,
1year old collie, ball mad and will be looking for a family who will walk her, play ball and sofa cuddles 🥰
Excellent recall And picks up commands very well.
She's a bit nervous as she's not seen many other dogs and things but she's a gentle wee soul.

💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

We don’t even know where to start with this update 🥺

Today our little Buttercup went for her eye surgery. Unfortunately over the past day her eye completely exploded (see comments) so it had to be removed and surgery went well today but in recovery Buttercup suffered a major cardiac arrest and our vets tried everything but we lost her 💔

It’s taken all day for all of us to even digest this and writing this tonight seems so surreal

Buttercups life was made up of human greed and selfishness. Bred to look the prettiest with the shortest muzzle and smallest body. Buttercup spent all her life fighting for every breath she took, we tried everything we really did, obviously based on veterinary advice knowing she was a suitable candidate for surgery we wanted the best for her. She got through the hardest surgery we didn’t even think that we would or could lose her at this point but it’s just shows you how badly bred and put together these dogs are and it’s heartbreaking because there is only one loser here 🥺

Buttercup is free of this sh*tty world, a world that showed her nothing but pain and suffering we are just sorry we couldn’t fix it for you darling girl. We are so sorry 😞

Your life was not in vain, we will always fight for you. You were loved and you were part of our family, forever and always ❤️

Rest in peace Buttercup 🌈

Update 10.50am 28.11.23 : Patrick and Anna have assured the pound that they will re-home this dog at 11am tomorrow morning - we hope the council will grant him a little wiggle room until then . Fingers crossed all goes according to plan . Further updates when we know more !
EXTREMELY URGENT !
Monaghan county council advised us late yesterday that they will euthanize dog ref 432 if he is still in the pound at 5pm today .
This boy has been in the pound for 18 days... 4 days over the council recommended pound stay of 14 days ...
432 was admitted as a stray from Emyvale area on 10.11.23 , is estimated at 3 - 4 years old , microchipped but no owner details registered . Male , appears to be friendly and lively , unknown if ok with other dogs / cats or children . This is all the information we have . If you feel that you can offer this boy a suitable home and can collect from monaghan county council dog pound TODAY please text / ring the pound on 0879634121 ASAP .
( to re-home a monaghan county council pound dog you will need to produce a dog license , your passport or driving license , a utility bill dated within the previous 3 months and pay the prescribed council re-homing fee of 60 euros ) .
