And that’s a wrap. My last dog walk completed, my boots are put away & so many doors closed. I’ve cried constantly all day, sorry to anyone that had to witness me sobbing. Your dogs have been everything to me and kept me going 💗

Twiglet / twigs / twiggy woo - I will miss singing heyoo puppy every time I pick you up, your antics including wearing a frisbee like a necklace today, finding sticks like a magician - there aren’t even any trees & you’ve found one!

Luna - loony boon - my big old labralump. You have been everyone’s bestie, I’ll miss seeing you rolling around like a hippo covering yourself with mud, going nuts at a ball & diving into any water source!

Stanley - Stan the man - you absolute bundle of love. So much love you don’t quite know what to do with it, the happiest of all dogs, the one with no brakes who tried to jump into my soul for love 🤣

Enzo - you cheeky little boy oh how I adore you. We’ve been on so many walks, you’re one of pipers besties & I really didn’t want to take you home today. We’ve watched you grow from a pup to a man & look at you now!!

Herbie - herbalurb - you have given me so many laughs, but so many ffs too 🤣 from carting off across the fields to finding carcasses for lunch. You terrible, lovable fool with a jet propelled wiggle butt.

Jago - my old man. The happy one just trotting along, the occasional roll in the grass. The bestest boy with so much to say, he loved telling his mum & dad all about his walk & what his brother herbie did this time 🤣

Milo - my front seat passenger princess. You’ve been with us for so long that you’ve become one of my own, I will miss your cheesy grin, your attempts to roll in fox poo & you running circles around my van before you get in!

Beau - the mum to every dog I’ve ever had. Beau has been there for every dog, showing them how to be good boys & girls, telling them to not jump at me & behave! I’ll miss sending your mum action shots of you pooping, your favourite trick of ruining photos 🤣

One hundred and ninety seven goodbyes. 197 paw prints forever in my heart.

Yesterday’s goodbyes stung quite a lot, oh how I’ve sobbed. 😩

Nigel / little nige - my little nutter - you have brought so much energy to our walks, even if you throw up in my van 🤣

Indie / indie bum/ windy indie/ Inds - you little sweetheart - you are such a treasure, you always have the best zoomies through the long grass & have been a joy to walk

Alba - albatross, Albuquerque - my pocket rocket with the biggest smile, no dog could ever catch you!!!

Vinnie - vinniepoo/ vinbob - you superstar! I’ve had you for so long, the only walker you’ve ever known. You’ve given me so much love & laughter over the years

Barkley - barks - my little baby 🥹 I’ve loved watching you chase your favourite girlfriend around & play with the big dogs

Marley - Marley moo: you’re one of my og’s! I’ve had the pleasure of watching you grow up, and watching your paw rents welcome a less hairy little sister into the world 🥺 I will miss our doorstep cuddles Marley 💗

Murphy / murph / Smurf / Murphy derf - how many walks have we had? SO many adventures in all weather’s, you nicking cups, sticks & all sorts on each walk 🤣 I’ll miss you randomly pelting it round the paddock & laughing at the other dogs who have absolutely no hope of catching you!!

Today is my last ever day for dog walks, have I cried already? Maybe.

Apologies to anyone that saw me today… as I’ve sobbed pretty much all day!

So many goodbye walks today, it’s felt like I’m giving my kids away 😩

Poppy, willow & Bailey - my little puggy crew. You have given me so many laughs along the way. It’s been an absolute pleasure walking you for too many years 🤣 willow who has at least 6 💩 parcels on every walk, poppy who has random zoomies & Bailey with big dog energy. You are all quirky little rescues & im going to miss you tonnes!!

Kyla & mini - my little agility super stars with the best woo woo’s I’ve ever heard. These two are total love bugs & have given me so many hugs & kisses when I’ve really needed them 💗

Peggy / pegster / peg leg / pegatron - you are one of my originals, right from the very start 🥹 you were one of the first dogs I used to form my very first group walk & what a star you’ve been. You have been a best friend to Theo & piper & always creating chaos with super sp*ed chases!

Theo - you beautiful boy. We’ve had you since a very small puppy. We’ve watched you grow into your teenage years & into the young man that you are now! You’ve been fantastic to walk, chase, and stop from eating random items on walks. Thank you for being pipers boyfriend & making her run so fast that she needs a 4 hour nap afterwards 💗

Saying goodbye to you all is absolutely gut wrenching. I can’t quite believe that I’m doing it 🫣
I hope to see you all soon

200 walks.

Elf - I’ve had you for 200 & today was your last. 💗
I did so well not to cry until I dropped you home 😭

Thank you for sticking with me all these years, for being your absolute goofy self & bringing SO MUCH energy!
We’ve had an epic 4 years, through rain, snow, heat waves etc you’ve been there every week barking in excitement to get out of the van & chase your mates
Where there is water there is elf, where there is mud… there is elf 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank you to your incredible owners for allowing me to walk your baby, for growing an epic bond over the years & becoming friends rather than clients. We’ve been through some pretty big stuff hey! From weddings to losses, ups & downs, the doorstep sobs & hugs 🥹 to the little sausage roll parcels 💗

I hope to see you very soon 🥰

I’ve been toying on posting this for a while now but here goes.

It is with a LOT of sadness that I announce the closure of Charley dolittle’s dog walking & pet care, this may come as a shock to a lot, but not to those that know me well. This is not because I don’t love my job or that it’s unsuccessful 🥹
We’ve had some incredible moments over the last 4 years including beach day trips, wet dirty dogs, doorstep chats (and cries 🫣) heatwaves, gale force winds, snow & rain! We’ve seen staff members come & go, and watched your families change too. Mines changed quite a bit!
My little family has gained a few new members & I’ve been offered an exciting new job with flexible hours & a salary that will suit our new family life, so I’d be foolish not to take it.
I’ve absolutely loved working with your babies for so long, and been an integral part of your daily lives as you have mine. You’ve also watched my own son grow from an 8 year old to an almost 13 year old 🥹
I hope that I’m not a stranger to my lovely clients, as you are considered more as friends 😩 plus piper would miss you too much!
One thing I absolutely won’t miss…. The MUD 😂😂😂

I will still be offering pet care such as cat & small animal visits as these work well around my new routine.

Just want to take a moment to thank every single one of you for liking & commenting on posts, recommending us, trusting us with your pride & joy & just being awesome. You have all helped to make the last 4 years pretty epic 💗
To all past & present clients - thank you so much, you kept me afloat through some really hard times, your dogs have meant the absolute world to me & it’s been a really tough decision to close. I’ll miss you a lot!

Absolutely broke my heart to say goodbye to this little chap today.
Reg has been with us since he was a teeny tiny little baby, before he could even go for walks. We have had the pleasure of watching him grow up & had SO many laughs along the way.
Thank you for being my constant, at times my rock & cuddle buddy 💗 his mumma is super awesome & become a friend, not just a client. We’ve been in each others lives for some pretty big things 🥺
Good luck in your new home little bud. Reggie roo, rat bag, we**ie, Reginald 🤣 we will miss you tonnes 🥹

A couple of weeks ago we did quite possibly the worst, best, funniest, muddiest paddock session ever at our favourite paddock
I had already prewarned owners that the dogs would need coats & probably a bath as they all have SO MUCH fun running at 95mph. My son was also covered head to toe in mud even in his wellies 😂😂😂😂
These guys are absolutely brilliant & have seen some of the swamp creatures leaving the paddock after having a lovely time & have introduced a little dog bath for a rinse off before going home!! This will save my van from being constantly redecorated at least & hopefully save you having to bath them 😂😂

Attempted dog theft occurred yesterday 19/01/2024

A male, late 40s, average build, foreign accent with tan skin & brown eyes - wearing a black wool hat, black jacket, jeans & black trainers attempted to remove a dog lead from my grip yesterday. He may have targeted the dog specifically as it was a young female, or just tried his luck. After multiple attempts to free the dog from my grip I managed to shake him off, to which he saw a van pull up at the top & ran back down the track to where a beaten up white transit van was, he got into the passenger side of the van & drove off under the bridge. The van had a faded blue circular sticker on the back door.
As you can imagine, this was a pretty hairy incident but, we are all ok & the dogs were somewhat bewildered, but unharmed.
Brings it home that you’re never fully safe & should trust your gut when you feel that something isn’t quite right. This area is regularly patrolled by police & there is normally someone around ie joggers or other walkers. Sheer fluke that at the time, no one was to be seen 😩

A sad farewell to our best buddy Jesse bear as his paw rents have moved house 🥺
It has been an absolute pleasure walking you for a fair few years now 💗 Jess has been everyone’s best mate & given epic cuddles when we’ve needed them! He is the funniest little dude & loves to poo through a metal fence. Every. Single. Time 😂😂😂

Happy new year!!
We’ve been pretty busy over the festive period with dog walks & pet visits
These guys are a bit late for auditioning for Mary & Joseph though 😅
Absolutely soaking wet mud monsters that had a lovely time on todays run 😂
Please go careful if you’re out & about over the next few days, the storm is taking down lots of trees in the local area 👎🏼 and as I learnt today…. It do be quite slippy 🫠🫠😂😂😂

We’ve decided to basically stay open this year!
We will be closed for dog walks 25th & 26th
Open as normal 27th, 28th & 29th

Closed 31st & 1st January then back to normal 2nd January

This is to give you time to enjoy a pj day or to see friends & family with peace of mind that your pups aren’t left alone :)

Please do let us know if services are not required over the Christmas break so that we can schedule efficiently!

Still a few spaces for small animal visits so grab them before we’re fully booked!

We don’t normally play with balls on walks as some dogs can get a little touchy about sharing. These guys managed to find a shard of a ball in the paddock & it was like Christmas came early 😂😂
They all played so beautifully 💗😍

The first of our lasts today - pixie - it has been a pleasure to walk you, thank you for making me laugh so many times by having big dog energy in such a small body! She LOVES chasing the bigger dogs & barks her little tail off haha! She’s also found herself a boyfriend in Barkley 💗 One of my favourite memories - walking pixie in a hail & snow storm, with my now partner who was then just a friend 🥹 unable to see 2 feet in front of us so she carried pixie for at least half an hour to impress me!! It worked ☺️ Haha! Pixie was so smug at getting allll the love! To your owners / slaves - thank you for being awesome over the years & trusting me with your little baby! It honestly means a lot. I had a little lump in my throat when I dropped pix home today. Please don’t be strangers 💗 Be a good girl pixie poo 💗💗

Enzo found himself on the wall of fame (or is it shame? 😂) at @leadsoffandloveit paddock today, it’s one of our favourite spots for zoomies!!

The end of one of our paddock sessions, I always allow the dogs time to make their own decisions - they can initiate play - sniff to their hearts content - take themselves off for a little bimble - have a lay down - get themselves a drink & chill - sniff the wind - roll in worm holes 😂 - have mini zoomies - come for a cuddle These guys feed off of my own energy so when I relax & slow down the pace, they all follow suit. Let them sniff!! This may not look like an exciting, energetic walk that will tire your dogs out. Many owners make the mistake of assuming that a fast paced, long walk on a short lead is best for tiring their dogs out. That takes away the opportunity for your dogs to make their own choices and explore the world around them. Often slowing down and allowing your dogs some freedom, encouraging sniffing the surrounding area can create a sense of calm in the group. Although their minds are going 1000mph, providing much needed mental enrichment can tire them out & prevent boisterous or destructive behaviours when at home. Take a slow stroll off lead, or allow your dog to lead you. Let them decide how long they spend exploring which area & when to move on. Give your dog the options to choose their walk! You’ll feel a lot calmer too & the walk will be less of a rush👌🏼 Slow sniffy walks are fab especially in this heat! They don’t need to walk for miles to be tired 🤗

I now know what it’s like to be totally snubbed by a dog. Today I had a visit to my lovely nephew @chunk.bullpei to give him his breakfast & have a play. Apparently he wanted to go walkies instead 🤣🤣🤣 This dog is so human it’s unreal. He has full blown tantrums when he wants feeding, throws himself on the ground when he’s tired & certainly let’s you know when he’s not happy 😂😂 Oh how we love you chunky bum 💗💗

When you spend your life surrounded by dogs you learn to speak their language 🤣🤣

All walks are cancelled for the rest of the day as winds are too strong again, here’s coco enjoying her playtime at home with her little bro & sis! Who doesn’t love a boxer wash on a Monday? 🤣🤣🤣
