I am hugely concerned about some of our local independent businesses at the moment especially local shops.

Shopping local is not only more climate responsible and in many cases much more ethical and adds social value, it’s helping everyone.

Local businesses and shops sponsor the raffle prizes for fundraising, they help sponsor local sports clubs and teams, collect for smaller charities and organisations and are just the soul of so many communities.

But things are hard, year on year!

Please, when planning Christmas this year, shop as small and local as you can?
