Today we said goodbye to our lovely Millie the Mooch. She was a character. Millie belonged to Mandy Macleman , but decided she didn’t like Shetland ponies and wanted to live with us. She became a huge part of our family and dearly loved. I will miss her demands for attention and her definite ways. After a lot of trial and error, she finally found her herd with Trinity and Sammy. She was very clear about who she did and didn’t want to be with and she has kept our fencing contractor in business repairing the fencing she bulldozed through because she didn’t want to be in that particular field. Hope she finds her heavenly herd as well. Forever grateful to Mandy for entrusting us to look after Millie. Run free lovely girl.

I’m assuming it was a lightning strike as it wasn’t windy enough to do this. 2 spooked boys promptly exited the field. Thankfully they didn’t hurt themselves - just eyeing up the other shelters with a large amount of suspicion.

Yesterday we received a lovely box of goodies from Farm and Stable Supplies. So unusual to receive anything free these days and a great way to get my attention and look at their catalogue. Definitely worth a look at their website and FB page.

When the rugby is on but there is hay to put out. What a glorious a afternoon. I love this group. All winter out, unrugged and we’ve just started to give them a small amount of hard feed as we find this is the time when they can suddenly drop.
