It’s great having some decent weather and finally getting 2025 properly underway for our walkies and play dates 👏👏

Susie and I got our DoddieAid 25 bandanas so we’ve started wearing them for our walkies - rumours that Susie’s has affected her ability to hear are yet to be proven 😉😉

Wednesday’s play date was amazing - last week same time, same place was -5 degrees; today it was 13🤷‍♀️😱. Did mean lots of mud and puddles but just also meant lots of fun, chaos and chasies!

Hamish is here for a short visit so obvs we had to do some doppelgänger pics with Susie & Chridhe. Lots of award winning posing today actually 👏👏

Susie also did a pop in today for her pal Loki. Always the best of fun 🐾🐾

Another “snow day” meant no walkies on Thursday 😞 but Susie Doodle & Zach made up for it today while he was with us for Day Care. The eagle-eyed will also spot some pics of Mr Nico who managed to join in on a wee bit of fun today 😍😍

We also popped round to see wee Bruno - no way were those wee leggies coping with our snowfall today! Could barely get him out in his own garden for p*e p*es 😂😂 he did have to deal with the trauma of an exploding toy though 😱🤣

Roll on next week when we hopefully should be back to “BIPS Normal” 🤞🤞

Walkies abandoned on Tuesday due to the snow, but The Boss Lady managed to fit in some house visiting and some snow play!

Then back to Wednesday Winter Wanders today with a somewhat depleted squad thanks again to winter and bugs but the tough girls had a great time 🐶💕

Thursday 24 to Tuesday 29 October.

We are still on the catch up… the tail end of our school hols adventures and the start of the new term…. We had a wee break from having overnight guests for the first few days of the new term to give Susie Doodle & Nico a wee chance to get their house to themselves for a few days 😍😍

The lovely Cara has been coming for day care since April. We normally do play dates on Mondays but on this week we introduced Cara to our Woodies with Magical Powers ✨. After a cautious start she absolutely loved it 😍 It’s been such a pleasure to watch Miss Cara come out of her shell over the last 8 months and grow in confidence with her Monday Gang pals 🐾🐶🥰

For the last few days of the holidays our sleepover pals were 🐶Lainey 🐶Bono 🐶Bailey & Cooper

Mr Brodie takes a toy with him on our walks every day - he brings it out to the van and goes around all the cages to show his pals before he jumps in ❤️ today he brought his giraffe - it was so big it had to have a crate of its own 😂😂 it was bigger than Mr Timmy 🤣

💕💔Faith💔💕

We’ve had heavy hearts around here during the second week of our October holidays as our regular visitor, the unique Faithy, No1 fan (or stalker) of Uncle Mike went to sleep for the final time 😔

Faith had just been to stay with us in the first week of October and even then she was still managing to cause her usual level of havoc, and doing her level best to lead young Daisy & Maddie astray!

As she came to stay so regularly she knew all of our walkies and day care dogs, but also many of the other boarders. She loved competing for Uncle Mike’s lap time, latterly with Nessa & Willow; Nessa proving to be a worthy adversary 🤣. She really enjoyed our play dates with the “teenie weenies” Chridhe, Sansa, Cara, Bruno & Timmy, but over the last couple of years she absolutely loved to spend time with our lovely Dusty, who we also lost last month😔 hopefully the pair of them are raising mischief somewhere now 😍.

Faith would arrive at our house, would walk passed me and go directly to Mike and demand to go onto his lap - and would sit there until I would shift her to take her out or feed her! These were my purposes! If Mike moved, she went with him. Everywhere! She sat outside the bathroom and waited for him. Always!

I’ve known Faith’s mum Linda for longer than either of us would care to admit so I know how much this is going to affect her, as well as Murray, Louise & Shaun. Faith was such a large part of all their lives. There was no option - Faith gave you no choice! You did what Faith wanted or she let you know how annoyed she was until you gave in! That leaves a huge hole in a pet owner’s life, and their heart, and it takes a long time to recover. But Faith had a wonderful life and wanted for nothing - and we feel very privileged to have played a small part in it 💕💕

Needless to say there was a few photos to chose from! Hopefully these give a taste of what Faith’s “holiday life” was like.

Sunday 13 to Thursday 17 October.

Start of the busy October school holidays and we had lots of returning guests to stay, who have all “bunked up” with each other before, so it was like an old pals reunion. Chica ruling the roost as usual, despite being the size of all of their heads 🤣🤣

🙏🩷 ok so just one more🩷🙏 A big shout out to our special Miss Heffie Girl 🥰🥰 Heffie very kindly gave up her place on Thursday when we had to shift vans because we had one fewer “big” spaces. Heffie is our wee superstar 🌟 Santa is DEFINITELY going to her house on the 25th 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

💨 Troublesome Thursday 💨 Thursday should have been amazing festive play date No2 of the week but Storm Pia had other ideas when they decided to pull Vivienne Vivaro’s back door off its hinges 😱😱 Lots of panicking, rearranging (and maybe a few naughty words 😵) later and a swap over to wee van for the hard-cores for a quick trip out in a hurricane & monsoon 😊😊

Our Story

We are Mike and Dianne Keavey, and along with Susie and Nico, we offer home boarding and other pet services from our lovely home in the village of Culbokie in the Black Isle, just north of Inverness.

We provide exceptional, loving and fun care in a home environment for your dog when you cannot be there. Our aim is for you to be able to go on holiday or go to work and not feel worried or guilty about leaving your dog behind.

Susie and Nico are well socialised and friendly dogs. Nico is a rescue from Eastern Europe so we have experience in dealing with the issues which these dogs may have. We have had Susie since she was a puppy, and have had previous puppies too, and we have looked after several elderly dogs with complex medical histories. So you can be assured that if your beloved pet has any special requirements, we will be able to give him or her the one-to-one special care that they may need.
