We are back 😊😊😊 holidays over, schoolies are back, everything back to “normal” 🐾😵‍💫🐾

Monday 19 to Sunday 25 August.

“Normal” slowly returning 😊 not all our schoolies back at the start of the week and we also have a gradual return to boarding & daycare so this week was slightly quieter so break us in gently 😄😄

Also lovely that our boarding doggies this week are both from our walkies crew 💕🐾 That’s the 🐶 Happy Heffie and 🐶 Bonkers Buttons 🤣🤣

Monday 5 to Sunday 11 August. Our final School Summer Holiday Post 😎😍🐶

Week 6 of the school hols and our final week before our “break” and then back to semi-normality!

Mr Lainey “bookended” the holidays for us - he kicked off the school holiday boarding guests back in early July and he was our final guest to leave today as he’d returned for a quick weekend break 💕

We also had a bit of a Topsy Turvy week again walkies wise as a certain diva had a spa appointment mid week that obviously took top priority!

Thank you to all our fabulous visitors over the holidays. It’s been wonderful as ever, and our daycare and walkies regulars have been at their brilliant best yet again in welcoming their returning pals with open paws. 🐾🐾

Tuesday 30 July to Friday 2 August. Nearing the end of our holidogs posts 😎😎😎😎😎

This was our “shake it all about” week for our walkies as we don’t leave the confines of Culbokie on Black Isle Show Day! Everywhere is far too peopley and vehicley for our liking.

We had the best of play dates midweek when our Best Boy Banjo returned after being off having been poorly. Made all of us smile 😊 . We also had an amazing time on Thursday when we broke out the Barke Farm doggy ice cream 🍦

Monday 22 to Thursday 25 July - is it just us or are these summer hols flying in? 😬Another week of walkies in the sunshine and showers, or maybe best described as showers with a bit of sunshine now and again 😵‍💫😵‍💫 doggies are not bothered whatever the weather and we have lots of smiley faces from our walkies & play dates 🐾😀.

We also have a screenshot of Susie’s activity tracker and step count from her play date on Wednesday! 16.3k steps in 90 mins 😱😂 (incidentally we did the same play date on Friday, this time with Selkie in tow and the step count was over 23k 🤣🤣)

Buddy Boy finally left us on Monday morning 😔 after his mum & dad’s epic journey home from their hols thanks to the CrowdStrike nonsense but we still had 🐶Moss 🐶Rosie & 🐶Coco staying for their holidays

Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 July - we are still going strong! Latest crisis of Crowd Strike nicely averted and all affected doggies now home safe and sound 🩷🐾

For walkies, we had the triumphant return from her own holidogs of 🐶Miss Jura Watters along with 🐶Chridhe & Sansa 🐶Brodie & 🐶Heffie

Susie and I also had another drop in with Lovely Loki, and we took Selkie along with us this time. Triple Chaos 😝😝😝

Sunday 14 to Wednesday 17 July - are we not doing absolutely brilliantly keeping up with these holiday posts? It’s like a minor miracle has taken place 😇😇

With a bit of crossover during these few days our day visitors included 🐶Heffie & 🐶Selkie as well as 🐶Cara

For walkies, 🐶Heffie gets a clean sweep along with 🐶Chridhe & Sansa 🐶Brodie & 🐶Heffie

Susie and I also did a drop in for our pal & neighbour Loki. Always great craic to visit Miss Loki Doki 🐾🐾

We’ve had lots of fun with our pals this week as our pics show. One pic we’ll not share is the one of Susie covered in human p**p which she encountered on our walk on Tuesday afternoon. 🤬🤢 disappointing and very annoying to have this happen again this year by wild campers.

Here are some of our adventures from the first few days of the school hols - up to Friday 5th. If we were to choose 3 words to describe these days I think they would be🤔🤔 wet, wet and…. wet 😭😭. Not that the doggies minded (well apart from Nico 😂)

As the school hols are underway we are now in full swing with our holiday visitors so for overnight stays we’ve had 🐶Barley 🐶Buttons 🐶Arlo 🐶Lainey 🐶Buddy & May.

Every day this week (actually seems this year😰) has been wet but today just about took the dog biscuit! July 4 and 12 degrees, pouring rain, windy…. 😭😭😭

Thank goodness for our drying coats to keep the doggies cosy on the way home - although they produce a variety of reactions😂

Took pics today of them all really just to cheer myself up on such a dreich day 🐾😊🐾

After a couple of days away in Fife (and Susie Doodle and Nico spent a wee holiday at Rogart with Fran and her Just Happy Dogs 🐾🩷) it was time to get back on it with our besties midweek.

We had our last few days of walkies & daycare with our “schoolies” before they leave us for the summer holidays, and we have plunged straight into our busy holiday boarding time😎😎

Along with our walkies and play date pals we had 🐶Selkie & 🐶Dusty with us for day care and 🐶Buttons, 🐶Barley, 🐶Arlo L, 🐶Lainey & 🐶Buddy all joined us for 💤 sleepovers.

Our week started with lots of rain 🌧️ but midweek saw the arrival of the bright yellow round thing in the sky ☀️☀️ just in time for our wee mini-break before the busy school holidays.

But we had lots of walkies and play date fun with our pals before that…plus a trip to the salon for a certain Miss Doodle 😎😎

🐶Wee Lexi and 🐶Rosie G joined us for sleepovers this week, and 🐶Selkie, 🐶Dusty & 🐶May joined the fun for daycare.

Well that was a week !!
You think Buckingham Palace had it hard organising Trooping the Colour for the King’s Birthday?🤷‍♀️ Try organising 3 birthday play dates for Susie Doodle 😳😳 definitely need to add party planner to my CV! Happy smiley faces for our parties, especially the birthday girl herself who, surprisingly, absolutely loved being centre of attention 🥳🥰

In addition to all of our parties with our walkies crew, we had 🐶Katy, 🐶Daisy & 🐶Buttons (confusingly also part of the walkies crew🤯) with us for sleepovers, 🐶Cara, 🐶Selkie, 🐶Dusty, 🐶May & 🐶Zach for Day Care and some pop-ins again with the lovely 🐱Goose & 🐱Maverick.

We have a slightly quieter week coming up in terms of Susie Doodle’s social diary, however she does have a salon appointment midweek 😬😬😬

Another super busy week draws to a close.

We’ve already seen our “doppelgängers” 🤣 - still in a spin from all those 🤯🤯

Lots of lovely play dates and walkies with our regular pals, plus daycare visits from Cara, Dusty & Selkie and we did some pop in visits with dog Loki and Goose & Maverick 🐈 🐈‍⬛

Lots of sleepovers too - Milo C, Brodie M, Buttons, Daisy & Katy

Big week next week - Manager Susie Doodle turns 9…. Birthday Play Dates currently being arranged 😳😳

Back to Boarding (the follow-up album we were all waiting for from Amy Winehouse) this week after a few days break for Susie Doodle, Nico & Uncle Mike. 😍😍

We’ve had wee Chica, Milo & Brodie M with us for sleepovers, Selkie & Cara for day fun, drop-in visits for the lovely Goose & Maverick 🐱 and all the usual suspects for walkies and play dates (including a lunch date here in Culbokie with none other than herself, Miss Jura Watters 😱😱👏👏👏)🐾🐾🐾

And there goes another fun-packed week. Lots of smiley faces on our happy doggies for our walkies and play dates, despite the return of some not so pleasant weather ☔️

And with the amount of rolling in various unspeakables (the worst culprit being Miss Susie Doodle herself 😵😵) and charging through bogs & mud (Mr Buttons 🫵🏻) the word of the week was most definitely “clarty” 😖😖

Fabulous week - 7 days with no rain 😃😃

We started the week with a first sleepover for newbie Brodie the Cockerpoo who is coming to stay with us later in the month. He’s a wee cutie 😍😍.

Then we had a couple of Perfect Playdates - unusual for us to have playdates two days running but it was a special week as Tuesday was “groomies” day for Miss SD 😵‍💫 she loves her groomer but hates her groom 🤣

She suitably let her feelings be known, as per, during Wednesday walkies by rolling not once, but twice in 💩- and taking Heffie down with her 😨.

As well as all of our usual walkies and day visitor pals, we had Lovely Luna 🐶 staying with us until Friday, Maisie May 🐶 was here for her usual midweek mayhem, Susie’s Doppelgänger, Marvellous Milo 🐶 also came for a midweek sleepover and Susie had a lunchtime soirée with the Lively Loki 🐶

Fun packed and busy week🐾🐾🐾

First week back after our short “sabbatical” 😊. Some lovely play dates and walkies and then we had our first visitors at the weekend with lovely sisters Holly & Womble (who were among our first visitors way back in the early BIPS days) and our regular walkies pal and neighbour Mr Banjo 🥰🐾🥰

(And yes, Nico’s passport actually says he is a Labrador 😀😀)

💨 Troublesome Thursday 💨 Thursday should have been amazing festive play date No2 of the week but Storm Pia had other ideas when they decided to pull Vivienne Vivaro’s back door off its hinges 😱😱 Lots of panicking, rearranging (and maybe a few naughty words 😵) later and a swap over to wee van for the hard-cores for a quick trip out in a hurricane & monsoon 😊😊

A wee video of Susie Doodle and one of her besties, our Friday Day Care, best boy Zach. We went out with our Happy Paws pals on Friday morning and Susie & Zach went for a wee swim in an eerily misty Lochussie. (Susie has taken til this week, through a baking hot summer to decide to swim by the way 🙄). These two often charge about in the water, Zachy loves a muddy puddle, but only when he was getting picked up did I discover that he’d not been swimming before. What a superstar he is 👏👏👏 (I’ve cut the video down to remove some waffle - those in regular receipt of my videos will understand 🤭🤭)

Our Story

We are Mike and Dianne Keavey, and along with Susie and Nico, we offer home boarding and other pet services from our lovely home in the village of Culbokie in the Black Isle, just north of Inverness.

We provide exceptional, loving and fun care in a home environment for your dog when you cannot be there. Our aim is for you to be able to go on holiday or go to work and not feel worried or guilty about leaving your dog behind.

Susie and Nico are well socialised and friendly dogs. Nico is a rescue from Eastern Europe so we have experience in dealing with the issues which these dogs may have. We have had Susie since she was a puppy, and have had previous puppies too, and we have looked after several elderly dogs with complex medical histories. So you can be assured that if your beloved pet has any special requirements, we will be able to give him or her the one-to-one special care that they may need.
