Hope everyone's had a lovely Christmas 🎄

In the new year I have decided to make a few changes. I know people find it difficult to get in contact with me via phone due to me being so busy and although I created the online booking system I know that not everyone has Facebook or Internet access.

The reason why I find it difficult to have time to answer calls is because I work on a 1 in 1 out basis, meaning my first dog comes in at 9am. Each dog is given a 1 1/2 hour slot, which means my next dog comes in at 10:30 and so on. I have to finish at 3pm in order to pick my youngest up from school at 3:15. Many things can set me back for example, 1 or 2 5 minute phone calls will set me back 10 minutes which doesn't seem like a lot but every minute counts when I work on a right timescale. Unexpected matting can set me back a good 15 minutes to half an hour, people calling in for enquiries etc.

So I have decided to put freddie in after school club (which he is very happy about 😁) so i don't have the panic of finishing on time which will hopefully give me a bit more le way to answer calls and maybe even have a dinner break 😅.

There will also be some changes to some prices but not all. This is due to many factors such as the rise in bills but more so the drastic variety of size difference I have recently noticed in some breeds lately. For example some dogs I do are 7kg and other 14kg and although they're the same breed they're double the size which essentially doubles the work and takes longer (I hope this makes sense). I haven't got as far as working it all out yet, I'm going to wait until after the new year for this as it will be quite time consuming particularly on the online booking system.

I have made the decision to introduce extra charges with immediate effect. There will also be a large board on the reception desk for anyone who does not have Facebook.

Fleas! I have 8 dogs at home that have never had fleas and I do not wish to take any home to them. Each time a dog comes in with fleas, whether it's 1 flea or 21 fleas I have to stay behind in order to fumigate and get undressed on my garden in order to not contaminate my house (not cool)

Matting. Matting blunts my blades and therefore have to be sharpened. My equipment is expensive.

Aggression. There is not 1 aggressive dog that I won't try. All dogs are 100% welcome here with me but it is so so important that I am made aware when you book your dog in (not when you turn up to your appointment) as I will need to book extra time. My skills with aggressive dogs a pretty awesome I must say 😁

Last but by no means least...late collection. As everyone knows I have to finish at 3pm in order to collect my child from school. If you do not collect your dog by then, then the initial £8 charge is to pay for freddies after school club free - because why should I? And the extra £10 per half an hour is for the pure inconvenience.

Do any of my customers or friends/family have any space and love left to take on a beautiful 8 year old, well bred, male American cocker spaniel?
Sadly his owner has passed away... He is currently being looked after but this can only be temporary. He is best being an only dog as he has some food guarding issues.
I don't have a picture to hand but could provide some and more info if required.

I'm really struggling to answer phone calls as I am always hands in with the dogs...if you could please use the online booking system pinned to the top of my page - if there is nothing appearing on the date you'd like that means that date is full,. If you continue to the following date preferred there will be availability.
If you send me a message I will get back to you as soon as I can but please bear in mind I have dogs booked in from 9am till 3pm then go straight to collect my child from school so I may not be able to respond until after then.

When 2 businesses work together 🤝 ⭐

Molly was rescued by her lovely owners where she had some skin issues, she also struggles with her back end as she has little muscle mass due to the poor conditions she was kept in previously. Once they sorted her skin she was then left with some pretty severe matting which meant there was no option but to clip her off. Doing a job like this as a 1 (wo)man band would have been incredibly long, tiring and back breaking for both groomer and dog, so in order to keep Molly comfortable and get the job done as quickly as possible, both myself and Carlys Pet Services teamed together and I must say Molly was an angel! Her brother Kodi even came along for a morning out and to keep his sister company 😁 she feels wonderful now 🥰

Well iv never had to do this before but here goes.... I am addressing this to any new people as I know this doesn't apply to my wonderful lovely current clients.

If you enter my salon and take it upon yourself to be rude then you will be instantly barred. I will not tolerate any form of rude or disrespectful behaviour/ attitude from anybody.

Also just so people are aware I did not graduate from Hogwarts and do not own a magic wand, nor do I have the super power known as telepathy.....
