My name is Liz Knights, and I started my home boarding business in 2011. Having had dogs all my life, it was a natural route to take as I knew I could put my years of experience to good use. We pride ourselves at Oaklands in offering a safe, happy and loving environment to all our doggy guests, who become part of the family for their stay. Our aim is to provide a stress free holiday for both you a

nd your dog and look forward to seeing you come back to us again. Oaklands Homeboarding for Dogs is fully licensed by South Norfolk District Council, licence number AB73 and I have recently been awarded a 5 star rating. Also I am CRB checked and have full insurance. Oaklands is set in a large, safe and secured half acre garden surrounded by beautiful meadows, with miles of lovely country walks. Our doggy visitors, have full access to our home and garden during their stay with us. We can maintain any routine that you have in place at home, including feeding times, sleeping arrangements and exercise. In order for your dog to feel at home with us, we recommend you provide bedding, food and toys. If your dog also requires a crate, we can accomodate that too. We do ask that all our guests are up to date with their vaccinations, this includes kennel cough. Please note that we do not take uncastrated males. All dogs must also be up to date with flea and worming treatments.

🐾To say it's a Chilly start to the year is an understatement! Nevertheless we've enjoyed outside play and loved our field walks. The dogs have enjoyed catching up with one another needless to say full of energy, there's certainly been plenty of banter today. Our visitors fromThursday and today have been Mr Blue, Saucy Cecil, Mr Bear, Little ole Bohdi, Pretty Phoebe, The Gent Domino, Beautiful Buzz and our Scrappy Doo Mae!🐾🐾

Thank you so much to all my lovely customers for your continued support and loyalty to me this year I'm so grateful to you all. It's certainly been another busy year and I've had so much pleasure in caring for your canine buddies. Also I would like to say thank you very very much for the wonderful cards and gifts that I have received, I really have felt so appreciated by you. Finally thank you to you all that take the time to like our Oaklands fb page and get pleasure from seeing the pics of the lovely dogs that visit us. 🐾🐾Shiver me timbers it's been soooo bloomin cold today and I needed a few more hot drinks than usual to warm up. But the sun did shine on our later morning walk which myself Scrappy Doo Mae, Little Ole Bodhi and the gent Domino enjoyed. We said goodbye to Buzz this morning after his long stay we shall miss you Buzz. Sadie and Ted were here for a day and overnighter. Bella, Mr Bear, Domino, Cecil and Bohdi have been for daycare. 🐾🐾

We are now on a count down to Christmas!🎄🎄 Our last day of being open will be Friday 20th. We will then reopen on Monday...

Our last day of being open will be Friday 20th. We will then reopen on Monday 30th for anyone that requires daycare but Closed on New Years Eve and New Years Day.🎄🎄.

🐾It has been a busy weekend at Oaklands with a lovely selection of guests. We had a visit from the girlies Bella and Olive who as always made themselves at home. The Gent Domino and also Sir Willoughby graced us with his presence. Buzz, Willow and Inca are also still on their holidays. And now for a busy week ahead!! A Christmas rest is on the horizon 😅🐾🐾🐾

🐾I'm sorry it's been a little while since I've shared news and pictures at Oaklands. It's been super busy and it's been hard to find the time. However I've got some lovely pics of some of our visitors this week. Im sorry if your dog is not in some of the group photos not everyone wants to sit for me, even with a tasty reward on offer!!😂 We've had Buzz arrive for his nearly 5 week holiday and Willow and Inca who are here for a month. Pickle and Domino are here for their holidays too. Benji has been here a couple of weeks and has made many friends. And not forgetting our lovely daycare guests Mr Bear, Mr Blue, Boss girl Pops,and Saucey Cecil. I've had lots of enquiries regarding boarding at CHRISTMAS and I would like to let you all know that we are spending the festive break with family and will not be taking any dogs over the festive period. 🐾🐾

🐾We have enjoyed another busy week at Oaklands and I'm looking forward to a few days off next week. Dare I say we've been so lucky with the dry weather, it's makes everything so much more enjoyable! Would of been nice to see the sunshine, but I must not complain. We've had lots of visitors, who as always are so happy to see one another!! Here are some pictures of this week's guests.🐾

🐾 It's almost the end of another week, and I can't believe it's the 1st of November tomorrow. We are still enjoying this mild autumnal weather, long may it last. Just a quick mention regarding the 2025 diary, May and June are getting quite booked up. We are having some time off in June so the remainder is going quickly. So if you've got dates please let me know sooner than later. We've had some holiday guests depart Monday with fresh ones arriving this week. Lots of daycare and another trial which went really well.🐾 Here are some lovely pics of our guests!!

🐾 Wow it's been quite a busy few days I have to say!! We have had holiday boarders departing and more arriving, daycare and also a trial. But the weather has made our week, with lovely walks in the sunshine and outdoor play. Mae was taken poorly at the end of last week and spent one night in the vets but has fully recovered this week. Neither myself or the vets know exactly what caused it, but please be mindful there are alot of toxic things around this time of the year that dogs will pick up on their walks including Acorns, Mushrooms, poisonous berries to name but a few. Here are some lovely pictures of the dogs which have visited us this week.

🐾Feels like someone pressed a rewind button and summer returned today! It's been a beautiful day and we've loved our walks and garden play. We've had Pitta, Ruby and Finty arrive for their holidays. Belle is half way through her 2 week stay. Poppy returned from her holiday and visited today and we have had visits from Phoebe and Pickle.. And I can't believe it's Thursday tomorrow!!! 🐾

🍂 I have brought Autumn back with me from the peak district, it was beautiful up in the Derbyshire Dale's full of the autumnal colours. The dogs as always were so pleased to see each other this morning, and I know our Scrappy Doo Mae missed her buddies last week. They were all full of mischief and insisted they hadn't had a treat for the last week (I think not Mr Bear, Mae and Mr Blue)😂😂. Some lovely pictures of our scally waggs today!

🐾 How lucky are we having this beautiful sunshine now we've entered the autumnal season. Here are some pictures of our guests today. I would also like to mention that dear Ralphy was taken very poorly at the weekend and unfortunately had to have surgery. Myself and all your friends at Oaklands are sending our love to Ralphy and his lovely family, and wishing him to get better soon. 💕💕

🐾🐾 Silence and complete concentration on the treat hunt today. It was touch and go whether my geraniums would survive the intrusion eh Sadie Pups😂😂 It's such good enrichment play for the dogs. I'm sorry if your dog is not on the video, not all of our guests wanted to participate today.

Fruit and veg bobbing! Not everyone wanted to get their noses wet!!😂😂

🐾The dogs enjoyed fun in the shade this morning. The ball pit came out much to the delight of our Wednesday group.They also tried some fruit and veg bobbing in the water. Some not so keen to get their paws wet!!🐾🐾

🐾 AND CHILL!! A little quiet time Thursday!! Not everyone wanted to participate, so sorry if your doggie is not on it. 🐾
