Please read! This is great information for anyone looking to use any pet services & what you’re paying for.

We do it for the love, & I promise we don’t raise prices to be greedy, if anything, it gives me insane anxiety when sending out price increases it genuinely keeps me up at night. We’re just out here trying to survive this ever growing cost of living crisis too 💙

Dog groomers prices are not 100% profit, if anything, 99% of it covers:

🖤 Our time - mental hours in summer & Christmas as we hate to let people down 💔

🩷 Expensive equipment so we’re only using the best on your dogs to create those adorable styles & using only the best blades on their coats & skin.
• For reference - in one 30 day period my clippers & my dryer both died on me unexpectedly, costing me just shy of £700, then 2 blades bust & they’re £30 each! It was a bad month 💔🤣

🩵 Qualifications in dog grooming AND first aid training to ensure we are trained to take care of your dogs the right way.
• For reference dog grooming courses (legit ones not online) start from £2500 paid upfront & First Aid Training starts from £60. First aid has to be repeated every 3 years.

💛 Overheads such as rent (even when I move the business to my parents!), utility bills & lots of insurance policies to ensure the building, my equipment, your dogs, & myself are covered if anything were to happen.

💜 Deep cleaning the salon & equipment to ensure there is no risk of contamination or fleas!! - you wouldn’t believe the amount of cleaning products we go through 🤣

I love the dogs dearly, but unfortunately we cannot work for free 💜🩵

House visits to Thistle morning & evening for the last week for food, little tray cleans & medication while her family were on holiday 🐱

An hours walk for Teddy today while his family popped out for the day 🤍 I have the pleasure of having teddy as one of my grooming customers 🖤

⚠️CLOSED TOMORROW (02/08/24) FROM 10:30am⚠️

Due to the wonderful weather but market day preventing vehicle access to my salon, I will be CLOSED from 10:30am TOMORROW.

I will not be encouraging anyone to walk their dogs down to the salon in this heat, so I have rescheduled to Sunday.

Dog safety comes first 🐶

(Another reason I’m moving🫢 market day is brilliant for stall holders but not so good for me 🤣)

Please do not walk dogs in this heat!!! Please also check pavements and make a wise decision to keep the dogs at home until early hours or evening.

It may say 23 degrees, but it’s what the temperature “feels” like, as it can feel a lot hotter than it says.

Please look after them doggos, makes my heart break hearing of dogs dying from heatstroke 💔 they can survive missing a walk, but they cannot survive serious heatstroke.

These two cuties came in for a well needed groom! 🖤

I was recommended to their owner by a fellow dog walker which is always wonderful to hear!

They weren’t huge lovers of the big hairdryer so I used my stand dryer (slow & quiet, used for faces) all over to keep them calm, it took longer but they appreciated this a lot more and relaxed for the rest of the groom 🤍

💛IMPORTANT PLEASE READ & please share 💛

🐾 Muddy Paws is RELOCATING 🐾

After some serious thoughts, I have made the decision to relocate the business, but don’t fear, I’m not going far! 🌍

The business will be relocated to Low Street, Oakley, Suffolk, IP21. I will be located round the corner from Billingford Horseshoes Cafe / Bottle Pub and B&B so for those who dont want to drive back home, there is a lovely selection of cakes, teas, coffee’s and a lovely lunch menu. The salon is a few minutes drive from Diss Golf Course & M&S Garage at Stuston.

This wasn’t the easiest decision, but it is for the best. I will miss being in town for the convenience, but I definitely will not miss the nightmare traffic, the horrible car park or market days closing the road down to my salon, I’m sure many of you won’t either 🤣

I will be welcoming your dogs into a clean, fresh purpose built salon with a private driveway and plenty of off road parking.

I am hoping I have made all current customers aware, so if I have missed anyone off I do apologise as I’ve sent out 100’s of texts😄!!!

Moving date is 25th August 2024.

GRASS SEEDS! 🌱

Keep an eye out for those pesky grass seeds!

This Mr’s owner noticed he was chewing one particular paw, & behold once the hair was removed (it gets very thick between his toes) we came across these two grass seeds, down the vets he went & they managed to remove it & give the area a good clean without an issue 🫶🏻

These little terrors can get embedded ANYWHERE. Last year a few of my customers dogs had them removed from; paws, noses, eyes, throat & ears.

If you notice your dogs are bothered by a body part that they’re not usually, have a little look around and check them over, they may have one of these hidden somewhere!
