Hi folks - I’m very, very sorry but I’m going to have to cancel walks for at least the rest of today and quite possibly tomorrow too. My car won’t start. I’m currently trying to get a jumpstart and then I will need to try and get it to a garage. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
EDIT TO ADD: I have now managed to get my car to a garage, however they are unable to look at it until tomorrow. As a result, unfortunately the rest of today’s walks and tomorrow’s will need to be cancelled I’m afraid, and I unfortunately am just going to have to wait for an update from them.
I have expressed that I rely on my car for work, but of course they have other customers vehicles booked in whereas mine was not, and so I will unfortunately just have to wait to hear from them. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE 🚨
Hello everyone, I hope you all are well. Apologies in advance for the long post ahead.
First of all, I hope you, your loved ones and all your lovely dogs had a fantastic Christmas and New Year!
Now on to the next bit, unfortunately I have some less than good news to share.
The long and short of it is that over the time I’ve been taking a break for Christmas and New Year, I’ve been having a close look at my finances and such and after a LOT of thought, among other things, I’m afraid to say that I’m simply not making enough money to continue offering my services.
I have of course thought about increasing my prices but given the cost of living crisis and the fact that I am still in my first year of business, I do not feel comfortable charging any more than I am currently.
Unfortunately due to some changes in personal circumstances I no longer have the luxury of time to keep going and see how things pan out, and as a result I will be actively seeking to return to full time employment as of the end of January. This is to try and give you all a bit of time to try and find another walker for your dogs - there are several fantastic pet service providers locally, please don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll point you in the right direction.
I’m truly very sorry to be letting you all down. I‘ve loved spending time with your dogs and creating bonds with them, and seeing all their different characters and personalities. I will miss every single one.
I’d like to end with a sincere thank you for placing your trust and faith in me to look after your dogs, and for welcoming me into your homes. It‘s meant the world.
Apologies again, and I entirely understand if you find another walker sooner rather than later for your own peace of mind. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of any help.
For those of you who have left a key in my possession, I will seek to arrange with you an appropriate time to return your keys in person.
NOTE: I know not everyone is on Facebook or will see this post, so I will be sending an email to every client I have on my books in order to make sure that everyone is aware and can make appropriate arrangements for their dogs.

This is just a polite reminder that my last date for walks is next Friday 23rd December and then I am taking two weeks off Saturday 24th December - Sunday 8th January, back to walks as normal Monday 8th January.
Additionally, I am also taking a long weekend from Friday 20th January - Monday 23rd January, and back to walks as normal Tuesday 24th January.
I have these dates already posted in a previous post which is pinned on the page for easier access should you need to find them again for any reason. 😊

The amount of times I’m walking a dog and I hear “Oh, well he *looks* friendly!”, or “It’s ok, my dog won’t do anything!”
Yes, the dog I’m walking may *look* friendly. That doesn’t mean they are.
Yes, your dog may not do anything. But that doesn’t mean that just by being close by, they’re not making the dog I’m with very uncomfortable.
I’ve even had one lady say to me, after warning her that the dog I was with at the time wasn’t friendly so she could get her two off-lead dogs back on-lead (which she failed to do), “They don’t really know ‘Not friendly’.” Well, sorry, that’s not the point, and I do not want to be the one responsible for them finding out.
PLEASE be respectful and considerate of others and their dogs, whoever and wherever they are.

Hi everyone!
I’ve been thinking lately, and as most of my clients are solo walkers I’ve been wondering about focusing primarily on solo dogs as opposed to trying to build up lots of groups.
I’m finding it difficult to get even one group going due in part to the number of solo walkers I’ve taken on, being in my first year of business, as well as the fantastic competitors locally who all do a brilliant job.
I feel like focusing on solo dogs (or at least, dogs from one household at a time) at least for the time being will let me build up my confidence levels as well as get a handle on how I can most effectively run my business, while also giving my undivided attention to the dog/s from just one household at a time.
Of course there are a few of you whose dogs are able to be group walked and I don’t want to let you down or lose you as clients, so I would look at still offering one group walk per day which would be around lunchtime.
I just need to think about things like timings and how much I’d need to charge for this to be viable, but keep an eye out! Feel free to pitch in with any thoughts of your own - I am still learning as I go after all! 😊

Now, I don’t want to be the one to mention the “C” word 😬 However, Christmas is fast approaching! 🎄 and I want to give you all plenty of time to make other arrangements as necessary!
I will be taking two weeks off over the Christmas period and the new year. I’ll be working up to and including Friday 23rd December, and will be back walking your lovely dogs again as normal from Monday 9th January. 🐶🐾
Additionally, I will be taking a long weekend Friday 20th January - Monday 23rd January, as it’s my partners 30th and we will be away with family to celebrate! 🎉🥳
Lovely way to end the week, getting to see all these furry friends 🐶🐾🎾 And somehow we managed to avoid the rain - well, mostly! 🌧😬😁
