I am truly lucky to have 2 such beautiful horses. Both have been out between the boards this weekend, Senna gaining more experience at Advanced Medium and Maisie at the Riding Club DTM qualifiers at Medium.
Both horses did me proud for different reasons. Senna, always the hot head is now able to cope with the demands at this level without having an absolute wobbly and Maisie has had a few months of on and off issues with abcesses and lameness so to win with 71% with her and get through to the national championships in April 2025 was a real surprise. She felt amazing today and doesn't look so bad either!
Thanks to SPILLERS for their fabulous feeds keeping both of these horses and our liveries looking super ๐
As always thanks to my amazing support network and wing ladies, you know who you all are ๐งก๐ค
Senna was out at Forest Edge Arena today to do an Advanced Medium. Still a new level for us so pleased to come 2nd. Just need to work on a few things to gain better marks for qualifying.
Well done Senna, we are getting there finally ๐ โค๏ธ

Happy birthday Maz ๐ ๐ฅณ what a difference a year makes. Thank you Lynda for the cake ๐ฅฐ
Little Welsh Noel is a nervous boy but he does love the hose! He is also looking for his forever person to take the time to produce him slowly โคโค
Thank you Kim Ratcliffe for another great session with Maisie on Friday. Snaffle and a grackle bridle and she felt lovely! Gutted Senna missed out on Saturday but there is always another day ๐งก๐งก
Very happy with how 4yo Tarlock has progressed since returning home. He is going to have a well earned break now whilst GG work on our exciting new project! Watch this space for an announcement at the start of August ๐
2 great sessions with Kim Ratcliffe yesterday.
Here is Senna just doing his thing. Big plans for this boy this year all being well ๐
Maisie was also on form once she found 6th gear - no clips from her session but she is doing just as well.
Thank you as always Kim and Evelyn Little for hosting ๐
Meet Monty!
I have been riding Monty for his lovely owner Peggy for a few weeks now and these little snippets were taken on my 2nd time of riding him. As a very successful show horse, Monty has been used to working in a double bridle "up" in the frame, he also doesn't like to completely relax and sometimes he feels like he is holding his breath! So the last few weeks we have focused on asking him to stretch down and breathe.....and I have had to focus on feeling for more swing through, whilst remembering to keep my hands still! He is a super horse and I am looking forward to seeing him progress both with Peggy and me in the saddle!
When you give your fabulous Apprentice more than just mucking out.....its all part of running a yard!
Back to focusing on the dancing this week with Senna and Maisie with the help of Harriette Williams HW Dressage at Orchard Farm. Senna and I were testing a Custom saddle which we both felt very comfortable in Poppy Webber - Qualified Saddle Fitter!
Harriette will be back in June if anyone wants to book a slot!
I am blaming perimenopause for my impulsive decision to book Senna in at Forest Edge to introduce him to a full course and fillers ๐คฃ๐
OK so they weren't huge but this was a huge thing for him and me!
Thank you Tori Desborough for coming to guide us round, we really enjoyed it!
