Welcome back to CONKER 🐾 he'll be joining my regulars for Wanderlust Rambles over the next couple of weeks whilst his humans are away holidaying ⛱️ I first walked him back when Wanderlust Walkies was not long started so there's lots of doggies now for him to get acquainted with 🥰

Lots of fun in the sun today (plenty of water breaks) and spaniels Ziggy & Zoe were lucky enough to enjoy a proper dip 🌊

What a super fun bunch today! Max, Quinn, Bruno, Sadie and Jovie had a ball at Belvedere Dog Park. All the things a dog could need for a good time with their pals ☺️🐾 later on I got to be reunited with ZIGGY and ZOE, they'll be joining me for walkies while their humans are on holidays. I think they were excited to see me! 🖤🤍

Aurora, Zola and Luna for yesterday mornings Ramble then Codi, Mo and Eccles joined their pals from The Woof Pack NI for an afternoon playdate ☺️

Hug your fur babies a little tighter tonight 🤍

I received word today that Gomez has gone to the rainbow bridge 🌈 he will be very much missed by his doting family and by myself. I enjoyed our time together and I will never forget this gentleman, the way he sang to me when it was time to put the harness on or the way he decided where our walk was going to be. I always said it was his walk after all so never minded what direction we went. Was always happy to be led along by this guy.

The course I was a part of last month paid off! Found out yesterday I passed with flying colours 🤯🥳

The seminars were thorough and insightful, no stone was unturned and we covered numerous important topics such as canine welfare, the laws we need to abide by, dog body language, breed typical behaviours and so much more 🐾

It gave me a lot of food for thought. Whilst I have gained so much invaluable experience since launching Wanderlust Walkies, I will always seek to expand my knowledge and build on existing skills to be the best person your dog deserves 💚

💚 Weekend Wanderlust Woofs 💚

So many lovely faces 🤩😍 Daisy, Lola, Bonnie and Harley got to experience new sniffs on Friday night for a walk with Mr Wanderlust and our three in our neighbourhood. I was with them overnight so wanted to squeeze some time in with my doggies too 🥰 Saturdays pups Chester, Jill, Willow were also joined Blossom, Mo and Eccles for morning walkies. Look at those smiles! Also got to see Mr Teddy again yesterday and today 🩶

☀️ Warm Weather Policy ☀️

The word is we are getting summery weather this week. 17 degrees tomorrow should be comfortable enough for all the dogs who are scheduled and I will continue to monitor for the rest of the week. I always keep a close eye on my Wanderlust Woofs, especially any brachycephalic breeds, my senior guys and gals or those breeds more susceptible to heat stroke.

My priority is safety and always will be. If one dog struggles during a Wanderlust Ramble I will not continue with the walk. A dog who is clearly struggling will be brought home unless they require veterinary attention, I will always inform the owner of either scenario.

Fresh water will always be readily available and I will choose sheltered areas where possible. Ideally I will choose a location with access to safe bathing water (keeping in mind current council regulations do not allow dogs off lead during the day on several popular beaches for June, July and August and Orlock has an outbreak of blue green algae).

Transport safety in warm temps - I will ensure good airflow and provide cooling mats for my Woofs. Dogs will only ever be left alone in my locked vehicle when a fellow group pal is being collected or dropped home (this is quite a streamlined process and I'm fortunate this does not take me more than a minute at a time regardless of the weather).

Should extreme temperatures occur, I reserve the right to cancel a walk at short notice. For dogs that need the day broken up should you be away from home, I can provide the following:

A Garden Visit 🌼
A very short solo walk just for toileting (I am mindful that some Wanderlust Woofs only p**p on a walk, they know who they are) 💩

As winter approaches, if your dog has a raincoat or drying coat you'd like me to use during/after walks please leave it with their lead 😊 I will always towel off best I can and if anyone is concerned about muddy paws this time of year, let me know if the living room door needs closed or if they need popped into a crate depending on what your pet is used to!
