Little Miss Rue came in today for a softer short Schnauzer cut to make her a grown up lady instead of her fluffy baby style. Few matts and grass seeds taken out so she is definitely feeling much better. Hopefully next time I can get the ears tidied but Miss Rue had had enough for her first styling 🥰😍

…the unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend... it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people trying to earn a living with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

Rue came in today for her first trim and she did so well. She had a few matts in her legs but they will grow out and her adult coat is already starting to come through 🙂 can't wait to see what you look like next groom

Little handsome Mr Finn today was in for his first big boy trim!! He did so well but was not having the clippers near his head lol the owners and myself will work on this but his leg and feet work has come on so well since his first puppy wash. They wanted a shaggy Teddy style trim for Finn and he pulls it off so well 🥰😍

The gorgeous Miss Reo in today for a wash and brush out, Reo is growing out a shorter look from last year to get back into the shaggy bearded collie look she deserves. Her owners have the right tools now and are doing a fab job at maintaining her coat.

Everyone please be careful driving and walking to dee for Dogs, a very kind neighbour has gritted the hill for us into carnmoon but the footpaths and roads are very slippy. Any issues just let me know and I can try and reschedule appointments.

With this week being so busy for me I would just like to thank each and every customer for your support over this past year.
I would also like to thank you all for the very generous gifts you have brought for myself and for Emily. She helps out alot when she is here and I have your fur babies in who she loves like her own lol 😆
