Welcome, Ronnie! 🐾

Ronnie, the 10 month old German Shepherd, has arrived for his 2 weeks residential training, and we’re so excited to work with him!

His family has shared some key goals for his time here:

Walking calmly on the lead: We’ll focus on teaching Ronnie to walk under control, making outings more enjoyable for both him and his family.

Respecting boundaries at home: Ronnie has a tendency to steal and damage household items, so we’ll work on improving his impulse control and teaching him appropriate alternatives.

Ignoring joggers and strangers: To ensure safety and ease on walks, Ronnie will learn to disengage from distractions like joggers and strangers and focus more on his handler.

Finally we’ll be strengthening Ronnie’s response to commands which will help build his confidence and cooperation, both at home and out in the world.

Ronnie is a bright, energetic boy, and we’ll be tailoring his training to help him reach his full potential. We can’t wait to see the progress he’ll make during his stay! What a handsome boy he is !

I wish we could stop all people breeding dogs for one year so that all the dogs in rescue and kill shelters could be found a loving home, as it seems so unfair that so many dogs are PTS as no one claims them, yet so many puppies are being brought, I just carnt get my head around this. As every dog looks cute as a puppy but they grow bigger get into mischief and then people decide they haven’t got the time and give them up, if people did there homework before buying a pup and worked out cost, time, information on the breed that they wish to have and how much work needs to be put into having a dog I think that half of them would think again.

Think seriously about getting a dog and if you can get a rescue they are just as nice as a puppy if not they are better 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
