Something a bit different to dogs….

CHICKENS 🐓 🥚

A local chicken farm (and good friend) closed last year due to bird flu. They’re just getting back on their feet and have eggs again, birds are all free range, kept like queens.

Would anyone be interested in eggs if we stocked some here?

Or if you’re visiting us, why not pop down for a tray yourself.

They’re on Gate wood Lane, at the very very veryyyyyy end.

£7 for 30 eggs.

We’re taking a well deserved break ❤️

The dog field remains business as usual, we’re lucky to have some amazing friends who have agreed to take on our busy life to keep everything running smoothly.

We have had a lot of questions about wether we will be able to let XL bullies use the field, the answer is YES, OF COURSE!

After a lot of back and forth with our insurance company (and then changing companies to accommodate all your wonderful pups)

The bellow guidelines are specified by our insurers:

🐶 The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED).

🐶 The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times unless with other dogs from the same household

🐶The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules

🐶The dog is Micro Chipped

🐶The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field

🐶The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field

🐶 You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field

🐶If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together as long as they have a minimum of 1 handler. All dogs leads and muzzles can be removed once in the field including the XL Bully.

🐶 if there are dogs from different households, the banned breed will need to remain muzzled and on a lead at all time with a 1:1 handler

Just a note….

All of your dogs will always be welcome, regardless of breed, size, smell, ear shape, how long their tongue is, or even how much they love to dig.

We are here to provide a safe space for your pups to run free with no restrictions, 365 days a year♥️

We are also in the process of building a secure car parking area to make getting in/out even easier… believe it or not we need some (more) rain (sorry!) to make sinking posts easier 😳🐶 🐩 🐕

A reminder from my 6 year old daughter….

“No dogs off lead, when you leave your house make sure your dogs are on a lead in the boot. Put your dog on the lead and do not let them off the lead until you are in the dog field, if you do not do that then you are not allowed in the dog field, you will have to find a new dog field”

(She chose the wording herself).

Please use a lead from the car to the field and back again, anyone found not to be using leads will be asked to leave and not return.

We will also be installing new gates around the field over the next few weeks to create a safer unloading area.

While the weather is cold I would recommend bringing a bottle of water for your dogs. Although we provide fresh water daily it will be very cold or may be frozen.

Please can everyone ensure you are picking up after your dogs, we have put poo bags around the field and a scoop for ease.

Owners not clearing up after dogs will be banned from the field.
