Another great year at the Kirkbourne National Gundog Team Challenge, this year at Stubbs Hall for a change of scene and different ground. A full 10 teams entered this year, and some incredibly close results throughout, with a run off required for 1st and 2nd place. The results however:

A massive thank you to the Judges for this weekend, Kevin Wood, Paul White, Mark Simpson and David Whitehead, without whom the event would not have been able to run, as well as the Kirkbourne Staff and helpers.

Thank you all for making it a really enjoyable weekend. As ever a real pleasure to host you all; old and new friends...look out for next years event.

This weekend was not only about our dogs and handlers but also about raising money for charity. Thanks to everyone who took part in our raffle, those who donated wonderful prizes and all those who bought tickets, we raised an incredible £540 which has been sent to YORKSHIRE CANCER RESEARCH. Thank you all!

Huge congratulations to everyone who took part in some very challenging tasks over the last 2 days! It was very close, with a runoff for the top spot… The winners of the Team Challenge 2024 are:

DAY 2 - ready and waiting...bacon and sausage baps flowing, coffee steaming, tasks set, judges warmed up and dummy throwers in place...

Cube Challenge, Long Retrieve and a massive prizes for a raffle in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research open to all. Come along to support all the teams, with 2 Kirkbourne teams also running. 🐾🐶

NEW FRIENDS OF KIRKBOURNE...we have a few new friends coming to join us this year. We are excited to say Ellie of Ellie Louise Art will have her exhibition trailer at the competition all weekend, and will be very kindly giving a 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗿 this year.

Ellie is a colour pencil artist who specialises in Gundog portraiture. She creates bespoke Gundog artwork from a passion and knowledge of the sporting field for their owners. She aims to bring our outdoor passion into our everyday lifestyle. Ellie will also be displaying how her beautiful creations come to life throughout each day. We very much look forward to welcoming here to our event. 🐾🐶
