Saturday saw us out at Woodfield Park for 2 full sessions of trailing. We had windy conditions but thankfully it stayed dry and relatively mild.

The second session was a more experienced group of trailers who we tested the dogs ability more around the buildings looking at the swirling nature of scent in windy conditions.

Each team was amazing and threw themselves at the challenge. Some dogs blew wide, other quick checks and they are on it.

Well done teams and thank you for tackling the shortest day to keep the session moving

Saturday saw us out at Woodfield Park for 2 full sessions of trailing. We had windy conditions but thankfully it stayed dry and relatively mild.

The first session saw 4 lovely collie teams tackle the more rural aspect of the venue concentrating on short fun confidence building trails.

Well done teams you were amazing and your happy enthusiasm from you and your dogs was infectious. 😍

Sunday saw 6 very hardy teams up on Birkrigg, Lake District.

The session was unfortunately cut short due to worsening weather, seeing the cold, rain turning to hail and the temperature dropping further.

But before we cut it short teams took on the challenges of the weather plus transitions from closed trails to open areas, and back again. For 2 experienced teams we looked at cutting through non obvious paths - looking at the handler not influencing the dog to stay on the obvious path πŸ˜‰

Well done teams you were all amazing in some very challenging conditions as the weather changed.

Looking forward to our next session 😁

Sunday morning saw us up at Woodfield Park, tackling a mix of semi urban and urban trailing

One team we are working on short fun, confidence building trails, and his enthusiasm is growing with each session

The other two more experienced teams we tackled some longer trails of 400meters and 500meters.

All teams were super keen to work today, showing clear signs when they are on and off the Trail and worked super hard to find there hidden people

Well done teams 😊 proud of you all as always

Friday afternoon saw us up at Edlington Pitwood.

We did some lovely short fun hunter trails for the 2 newer dogs at the beginning of there trailing journey, we found just the treats for one lucky lady who loved her sausages.

The more experienced team tackled a longer trail, which included me crossing the Trail on the way back after setting the Trail layer out, so proof that the dog wasnt trailing me. He was amazing and checked out where I crossed the Trail but didn't take the bait.

Well done teams always lovely to have such lovely smiley faces on a session πŸ’—

Sunday saw us back at Woodfield Park (back of Tickhill hospital)

We worked on having fun, short trails looking at surface transitions, and shortening the line around urban areas and how that feels different to rural trailing.

For the more advanced teams we looked at a walking find, and working around those all important buildings.

Well done teams you as always are a pleasure to work with

Saturday morning saw 4 lovely teams take to the trails. The rarer breeds seem to be multiplying πŸ˜‚

Two teams were brand new to to trails but very quickly took to the game, and by the end of the session we were starting to turn off there eyes to engage the nose to start to work the nose properly.

The other two more experienced teams, we worked on junctions, reading negatives, back trails and making sure the dog was following the Trail layer and not the instructor by having the instructor come back via another route to the start after walking the Trail layer out.

I love seeing all your smiling faces 😊 your always so happy and impressed with what your dogs are capable of 😊

Well done teams πŸ’—πŸ•

Sunday daytime saw us up at Edlington Pitwood in Doncaster, we saw 3 teams tackle the trails.

2 teams were previous trailers but new to trailing with Trail Chasers Mantrailing Group

We looked at foundation skills as both new teams had had a long break since there last sessions.

We looked at polishing up line handling skills, the importance of a starting ritual including scent artical and scent inventories.

For the other team we looked at his first split trail, and a slightly longer trail.

Well done teams was lovely to meet and be with people so passionate about there dogs ☺️

2 teams were even up here on holiday from South Yorkshire /North Lincolnshire and joined us 😍

Each team worked on there individual pieces including gate indications, longer straight trails, open ground and junctions in the dark.

Well done teams you were all amazing. Those head torches were very needed and very bright!

This weekend has seen the amazing Mantrailing teams up and Birkrigg Common in the Lakes.

We our wonderful puppy trailer on his second session, we worked on turning off his eyes and engaging his nose and he definatly didn't disappoint getting that nose down and finding his tasty treats.

The other 3 teams tackled junction choices in the woods, transitions from trails to open areas and for 2 of the teams lo ger trails.

Well done you always make me smile

Friday saw 2 teams back up at Edlington Pitwood, Doncaster.
One was a beautiful new team, can you guess the breed? We looked at introducing the game, and finding what makes for a valuable reward from there all important trail layer.

The other team has returned after a short break, showing that the dogs never forget, and we worked on the start and old vs new scent trails.

Well done both teams, it's always lovely to be out with amazing people

Monday night saw 5 teams out at Barrow Park, in the Lakes.

Each team worked to there strengths, we revisited Hunter trails with one team to help gain some confidence.
We looked at junctions, contamination, decoys (the public) and working past wildlife.

All teams were amazing and showed just how amazing there dogs noses were and how each dog worked in there very different ways.

Well done, always lovely to see all your lovely smiles.

Yesterday saw 4 teams set out in Barrow Park, in Barrow-in-Furness.
Each team are at very different levels

The first team was an amazing puppy on there first session who we concentrated on super short hunter trails to gains drive and love of the game.

The second team it was there second session and they didn't disappoint, we worked on blocking there eye sight and engaging that all important nose using hunter trails again to build value.

The other two teams did amazing working past various distraction including ducks, geese, squirrels, people, dogs and model trains.

All teams were amazing and everyone had huge smiles not only from working there dogs but being out and hiding too

Great work teams 😊

Today saw 3 lovely teams set off on the trails at Edlington Pitwood. The morning started out lovely, sunshine and warming up, then quickly turned on the last set of trails to heavy rain and turned very cold

All teams had fun some teams more experienced than others but all were amazing not a single trail layer was lost, and no amount of junctions threw any of these dogs off the Trail 😊

Well done teams you were fantastic 🀩
