We have just welcomed our new batch of rescue chickens. If you think your supermarket eggs come from ‘happy hens’ think again. ‘Free Range’ is not happening due to avian flu lockdowns. These hens are the scruffiest, skinniest and baldest we’ve ever had. The good news is they are here at Plum Tree Farm with us and in a matter of months will be happy, healthy, fluffy chickens

Fernlea Poultry

We started in April 2018 with 4 chickens. We now have too many to count, all have names and are our family pets. We have developed an addiction, I think it’s called “chicken math”

I’ve decided to breed certain bantams as a hobby. I love the small friendly birds and love watching them hatch and grow. I can’t keep all of them so will be selling chicks so other bantam lovers can enjoy them too.

I also want to offer a chicken holiday camp so owners can have their holiday knowing their chickens are in safe hands. We can also care for small furry animals too.
