Epilepsy is a common cause of seizures in dogs between six months and six years old. A seizure is a period of uncontrolled body movements due to abnormal electrical activity in the brain, which can be very scary, especially if it's the first time you've seen one 😥

Epilepsy can't be cured, and we’re still not sure what causes some pets to have it and not others. But, the good news is that it can usually be managed with regular check-ups and medication 🏥
