Polly's Cat Lodge Is A Friendly Family Run Boarding Cattery
Licensed By North Lincs Council
(AB19838) We are fully licensed by North Lincolnshire Council.

Polly's Cat Lodge is a purpose built boarding cattery built in the Autumn of 2012 to the highest of Feline Advisory Bureau standards. We are a friendly, family run cattery dedicated to the comfort, safety and total well being of your cat while you are away. We have 15 spacious, cosy chalets set in a quiet tranquil garden setting. All the chalets are fully insulated and thermostatically heated. All

our chalets can house up to 2 cats sharing, we have 2 family sized chalets that can house up to 4 cats, that means even if you have a larger feline family we can cope (All cats sharing must be from the same household). At meal times your cat will be fed their regular diet. All individual tastes are catered for. Only the best fresh food is provided, and prepared in our hygienic cat kitchen attached to the cattery. Special diets are provided where necessary, normally at no extra cost. Regular meal times are adhered to. Adult cats are fed twice a day, whereas kittens and old cats are fed according to their requirements. All our guests are provided with a warm snug bed to settle down in to, if of course your cat has their own sleeping basket this can be brought. Also owners are requested to bring a small blanket or old sweater with which the cat is familiar this will help them settle quicker and feel more secure in their new surroundings. Toys.... of course we have toys, something to scratch, something to flick, something to pounce on (and kill!!) they are all here, and when your cat returns for their next visit, their personal toys will be waiting for them, just something else to help them settle again.

Hi Folks

Thank you for your kind reactions and comments to yesterdays post it means a lot.

So as I said yesterday, I’m making a few changes which I hope won’t affect too many people too much, as I know you all have very busy lives out there, but in order to carry on providing what I hope you all think is a good service it’s got to be done. So…. the new opening times are listed below, please note, these changes do not apply to anyone who has already made a booking for next year. I will honour your already confirmed bookings. These changes apply to bookings made from TODAY.

Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday
9.30am to Midday | 3.30pm to 5.00pm

Saturday
9.30am to 2.30pm

Wednesdays & Sundays
Closed

Moving forward, the Cattery will be Closed For 3 Months From 31st October 2025 to 1February 2026 and this 3 months break is planned for the foreseeable future.

The office will be closed from 2:30pm on a Saturday to 9:30am on a Monday, when all messages will be replied to in due course.
The land line number will no longer be used as a primary contact number for the cattery and there will no longer be a message leaving option on that number either.
You can continue to use the mobile number where you can call or leave a message for me to call you back if I am busy. Messages can also be left via email, the website, WatsApp, text, Facebook Messenger, Instagram etc.

Lastly a quick reminder that if you can’t make your allotted timed appointment, please let me know and other arrangements can be made. I’m more than happy to be flexible but communication is the key!….. I really don’t want to have to bring in charges for folk who don't stick to their appointment without notice, it’s not how we rock here.

Both the website and page have now been updated with these changes.

Hi Good Morning Folks

Hope you are well out there in Bongo land.

Well the cattery is now closed for my annual break, this year slightly different as I am now closed until the 2nd Jan 2025!!

Thank you, thank you, once again for your amazing support and trusting me to look after your furry families this year, despite the constantly long days, I do have a pretty amazing job.

As some of you may know it’s been a pretty tough year for us here, losing both friends and family and Lesley being unwell too, not a 12 months we want to repeat EVER! so I decided it was time to reevaluate my work life balance. Yes, the retirement word has been thrown around, 7 days a weeks 48 weeks a year straight is becoming tougher to achieve every year. I’ve been so humbled by peoples “YOU CAN’T RETIRE!!” reactions, at least it means I’m doing something right, but I guess I can”t go on forever……

But, I’m not going yet!

There are going to be some changes to the days I’m open and also some slight changes to some of the times too, giving me time to catch my breath a bit more. I’m sorry if these impact anyone’s plans, but in order for me to continue it’s time to make some changes around here. I will post the changes on here tomorrow rather than waffle on and bore you too much today.

As I am on holiday now I will only be checking my messages, emails etc periodically, but rest assured I will get back to you. If you want to make a booking for next year drop me a message and I’ll be in touch.

Hi Good Afternoon folks

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the summery weather now it’s eventually here.
Just a couple of reminders and housekeeping notes if I can…

Firstly can I ask that everyone sticks to their appointment times, if you wish to change them leading up to bringing or collecting your cats that’s absolutely fine I will try and accommodate any changes. I have half hour appointments to allow a smooth handover of your cats and it also allows people who find leaving them difficult to have a little privacy if needed. On a similar note please do stick to my opening times unless a previous arrangement has been made. The cattery opens at 9:30am no admissions or collections will be allowed before that time again unless a previous arrangements has been made. Mornings are a very busy time and I hope you understand that the cleaning, giving of breakfasts and the administration of medicines without interruption is important and is why you bring and trust me with your fur balls.

As requested at the gate please ring the bell and WAIT. I will be with you as soon as I can. Please don’t just wander down as my grandchildren or dogs may be in the garden, which is why the gate remains closed at all times.

Sunday opening times will remain the same (9:30am-11:00am), however, please bear this in mind when arranging your plans as I can’t always extend your stay when you realise you will need a afternoon collection. My office is now remaining closed on a Sunday so please note any messages or booking requests sent late Saturday or Sunday will be addressed on a Monday.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading the above, sorry if it appears a little blunt in places, but I hope you understand to provide the best service and care for your cats as well as balance our time and privacy I am having to clamp down on certain things.

Evening folks…. I just wanted to thank everybody for their reactions, comments, and the private messages I received following my post the other day after losing my boy Tom. I’ve been totally humbled by your kindness. As many of you know Tom was a very precious companion and friend to me. I feel totally honoured to have had him in my life for so long and he did his best to stay with us as long as he could. We threw another 3 dogs at him and 4 grandchildren and he loved and protected each one in turn he had the kindest soul I’ve ever encountered in anyone. He is now back home with his family and plans are afoot to make him as comfy and peaceful as we can until he joins me when I fall off my perch too! Rest in peace my perfect friend ###
