‼️COMPETITION NEWS‼️
We are disappointed to inform you that we have had to cancel Sundays Unaffiliated Dressage due to such low numbers. This is the 3rd competition in a row that we have had to do this. It is so frustrating for us, and the few people who have entered. We really don’t like letting people down at the last minute, it spoils their weekend and doesn’t leave them time to be able to book a competition elsewhere. For us, as a small family business, it has obvious financial implications, but the work that is involved to put these events on is very time consuming. We try our very best to create a laid back, friendly atmosphere at all our events, to make it more enjoyable and inviting for you… the competitor. We really listen to what people want and try our best to adapt the way we do things to accommodate visitors, to make their experience at Riverside one that makes them want to return. We are fully aware that things are tight financially for everyone now. We are also aware that we are not the only venue that is experiencing the same. Continued failure to support the small venues will cause them to close, leaving us as riders, nowhere to go just to have a nice, non-pressured, non-stressful, enjoyable day out with our beautiful four-legged friends.
Our next competition is Stressless Dressage on Thursday 27th of June. We will be bringing the entry closure date forward to Friday the 21st. In the event the competition is cancelled due to low numbers, it allows us to give plenty of time to notify the people that do book. This will give them more opportunity to make other arrangements. If the competition receives enough entries by this date, we will continue to accept entries but with an added late entry fee up until 7pm on Monday the 24th of June.
After much deliberation, we have come to the decision that if this competition is cancelled due to low numbers, we will no longer host anymore. We will continue to just concentrate on riding lessons and the clinics we put on with our world class trainers.😢
Sorry for the rant, but we are passionate about what we do, and we are very proud of what we have achieved in the last 23 years.😞
