Nala - Burmese X Sphynx - 1 year 6 months - Female

Nala is on the lookout for a new home, with experienced owners. She is a very loving and affectionate but will let you know when she has had enough. She is a typical exotic cat, little body with a big attitude. We believe that Nala could be rehomed with another cat, if they are introduced slowly, but would prefer to not live with dogs. Nala has always been an indoor cat, and we intend to keep her as this due to her breed, but she is very lively so will need plenty of enrichment to keep her entertained. She would need to be in an adult only home.

If you are interested in offering Nala a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Kimba - Burmese X Sphynx - 1 year 6 months - Female

Meet Kimba, she is a sweet girl once she trusts you. Kimba has previously lived with another cat, Nala, so could be rehomed with another cat but would prefer no dogs. Kimba is looking for an experienced owner, who are knowledgeable on exotic breeds. Kimba is a timid girl who will need time to settle into a new home, but we think that it is best that she is rehomed without children. Kimba has always been an indoor cat, and we are looking to rehome her as one due to her breed, so will need plenty of toys and enrichment to keep her busy. She is getting a little braver everyday and is looking for a quieter home to call her own.

If you are interested in offering Kimba a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Animal rescuers received a distressing alert about five puppies abandoned in a farmer's field in Rotherham. Left alone and frightened, these little ones were cruelly DUMPED and forced to fend for themselves! Around 12 weeks old, the puppies—named Brian, Carlos, Daisy, Luca, and Pete—were infested with worms, and many showed signs of scabs and crusts on their heads, bellies, and paws.

Thankfully, these puppies were safely transported for an initial veterinary examination with our colleagues at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary. Due to space limitations the pups were then placed in the care of RSPCA Doncaster and Rotherham.

As we focus on nurturing these puppies back to health and preparing them for loving homes, we are also caring for numerous other vulnerable animals in our shelter. In short, our resources are incredibly stretched! Without any government funding, we rely on fundraising, appeals, and generous donations to cover 95% of our daily operating costs.

Help us give them the care they need and the future they deserve. With your support, we can continue our work, save lives, and provide the hope and care these pups and others so desperately need.

Era - German Shepherd Dog - 2 years 3 months - Female

Meet the beautiful Era, a sweet-natured and intelligent girl who is ready to find her perfect home. This girly is a gentle soul who thrives on reassurance from her favourite people. We learned very quickly that Era loves company (and a good snack - even though she may not always be the most polite!), and always likes to make sure that someone is right there with her when she's facing things that she's a little unsure about. She has found adjusting to life in kennels quite difficult, and will need a family who can offer her plenty of patience while she's adapting to life in a home as she can get overwhelmed quite easily when experiencing new things. Although Era has become known as a snuggle bug amongst staff, she can still struggle when meeting new people. Because of this, she would need a family who are aware of her anxieties and can help to build her confidence so that she can become the wonderful companion that we know she's more than capable of being. Due to her being a bit of a worry-bug, we would recommend that Era lives in an adult-only home with people who can not only provide her with lots of physical exercise (we've found that chasing basketballs around our field is a particular favourite activity of hers), but who also understand the importance of nurturing her mind by keeping her brain busy. We would also ask that Era lives in a home with no other animals for now. Upon first arriving at the centre, she did find it quite difficult to walk around other dogs and could be quite reactive. We've found that with time, patience, and reassurance, Era has actually found herself befriending some fellow residents, and we're sure that by building upon these positive experiences when out and about, she could be more than capable of making some regular doggy pals. Era can be a powerful girl when she wants to be and can find new experiences quite difficult, but we're sure that with a loving, understanding family (who can always make sure to let her know when she's doing a good job), she would be a perfect addition to the home.

If you are interested in offering Era a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Luna - Domestic Short Hair - 2 Years Old - Female

Meet lovely lady Luna. She came into our care from a multi-cat household, having already had a few litters of kittens. Luna is a very sweet-natured girl who adores the company of people, purring away whilst being fed her favourite treats.
Luna is now on the lookout for her new family, with access to plenty of fluffy blankets to knead. She would prefer not to live with other cats, but can live with a friendly dog and with children aged 5+.

To register your interest in adopting Luna, please complete a Perfect Match Form at www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk

Bishop - Akita - 7 years 9 months - Male

This big handsome boy is our lovely lad, Bishop - a dashing older chap who is on the lookout for a forever home where he can put his paws up and live out the rest of his golden years in blissful peace. Do not let Bishop's age fool you, however, this larger than life lad still has all of the energy of a youngster and he's looking for a new family that will help embrace this. A home that can provide plenty of long walks and mental stimulation throughout the day before offering him a cozy place to settle down in at night. Bishop has all the charm and adorability of a teddy bear brought to life - he's as soft and cuddly as one too. This is something that's made Bishop become a fast favourite here on centre, there's nothing better than spending some one on one time with a boy who is essentially a sentient plush toy. Bishop absolutely loves his people, he's always enthusiastic to meet somebody new and adores it when they dote on him in the way that he deserves. He would do almost anything for a good fuss and it has become apparent to us that Bishop is quite aware of his good looks, using them to draw in new friends wherever he goes and hypnotising them with that lovely smile of his in order to ensure he gets all of the ear rubs and bum scratches. Because of Bishop's outgoing nature, he could live with children 10+ that are comfortable around larger dogs. He would however, prefer to be the only dog in the house as he much prefers being the centre of attention.

If you are interested in offering Bishop a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Jack - French Bulldog - 6 years 2 months - Male

It's an absolute pleasure to introduce you all to the gentleman that is Jack, a quiet and sweet-natured boy who is hoping to find a home where he can live the life of luxury - just as he deserves. Jack unfortunately hasn't had the easiest journey, and found himself in our care after already being in kennels for a long period of time. We've found that despite everything, Jack has shown the upmost optimism and has been sure to show bundles of love and affection to everyone he's come across. Because Jack has spent such a long time in kennels, it is important for potential adopters to understand that he may struggle with adapting to life in a home, and it may take him a little while to adjust to his new routines. We're sure, however, that with some TLC and lots of big snuggles on offer, that Jack will settle fabulously into the right home and will make the most loving companion. Because Jack is such a sweetheart, we advise that he could live with children 10 years and above who can give him some time and space should he need it, but who can also help to bring out his silly and playful side. Although Jack has been okay with walking with some dogs here at the centre, we would recommend that he is the only dog in the home for now as he can sometimes find other doggy friends a little overwhelming, and really does value his one-on-one time with his favourite humans.

If you are interested in offering Jack a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Rocky - Crossbreed - 4 years 2 months - Male

Say hello to the bundle of joy that is Rocky, a boy who shows the upmost enthusiasm for life despite his previous experiences. Unfortunately, Rocky's life prior to being here at the centre was one in which he didn't get to enjoy many of the things that make life so exciting, and he has missed out on a lot of important socialisation because of this. He has, however, proven to be the biggest optimist, and really has embraced every new change here at the centre with open arms, even if he has found a few things a little scary. Rocky, very typically of bigger dogs, is a large lad who sometimes doesn't know his own strength and size, and doesn't always have the best etiquette when it comes to meeting people and dogs. Any potential adopters would need to be able to dedicate lots of time to helping him learn how and where to direct all of his energy, and would need to understand that although he does need a lot of physical exercise, it is also equally important that his brain is kept busy. Because he still does have a lot to learn, we would advise that Rocky lives in an adult only home with no other pets where he can be receive all of attention he so rightfully needs and deserves, so that he can flourish into the wonderful companion we know he's more than capable of becoming.

If you are interested in offering Rocky a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Hera - Crossbreed - 3 years 8 months - Female

It brings us no end of pleasure to introduce you to the beautiful Hera. Since first arriving at the centre, Hera very quickly made it her mission to befriend just about everyone she came across - whether they were aware of it or not! This sweet girly definitely knows how to make an introduction, and while she may not necessarily always be the most polite, she is sure to demand snuggles off of any new friend. Hera really is a ray of sunshine who brightens up the mood of everyone she comes across with her excitable tippy taps and cheeky grin. Potential adopters need to have had experience with larger dogs (who aren't quite aware of their size!) and must understand that although Hera is doing really well with her training, she will still need a lot of time dedicated to working on her general manners, especially around people and dogs. Whilst out and about at the centre, Hera has shown interest in making lots of doggy friends, but isn't quite sure of the best way to do that! Although she shows the upmost enthusiasm when meeting others, she stills needs some support in learning that not every potential friend will appreciate how full-on she can be.

Hera will make an excellent addition to the right home with her contagious happiness. She could potentially live with children aged 16 years and above who have had experience with bigger, bouncier dogs who haven't quite grasped the concept of personal space. For now, Hera would be best suited to being the only animal in the home while she adjusts to her new routines, but we're sure she would be more than capable of making friends with dogs out on walks given the right socialisation.

If you are interested in offering Hera a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.
