Our little Stargazer here is one of the triplets born on Thursday - she wasn’t able to stand and kept throwing her head backwards and front feet straight out. With a poor prognosis from the vets we didn’t have much hope for her but 48 hours later she’s standing by herself! She’s still not 100% and her mum has rejected her but she’s quickly getting a lot stronger and more independent 🤩

5 new additions late last night, and all ewe lambs too! We’re looking forward to seeing how these lambs grow from our new tup Sebay Edition.

The other 3 lambs are from our 2nd and only other scanned triplet this year, so we’re glad to have her sorted. Just waiting on some singles to adopt on to 😁

My lambing envy has finally come to an end as our first one has arrived! 🥳

A lovely single out of a Nun Cote Nook ewe we purchased as a lamb from Clitheroe back in 2023.

The girls are finally in the lambing shed and due to start any day now!

We’ve done it slightly differently this year by bringing all the ewes in at once. Usually we bring them in as 2 week batches but with the weather and the way the grass is we thought we’d pamper them. We’ve also got the space to split the singles so that they aren’t being fed concentrates so hopefully none of the lambs come out too big! 🤞

Multicoloured sheep season again 🫣 All served with only 3 red bums so far luckily! 2 re-serves and 1 we were waiting on.

We are still doing some sheep jobs in between shows 😂 Hope Show on Monday being our last one for the year!

With the teaser going in on the 25th for a 1st of Feb lambing, we’ve been getting the girls ready. Footbathed, mineral drenched, and marked up with their number and for which tup they’ll go to.

Red = Dutch Spotted and Blue Texel
Green = Allanshaws Bruiser
Blue = whichever tup we might get at Lockerbie!

Didn’t get any photos of the actual show again! So enjoy a photo of a fluffy lamb bum from prepping the day before 😂

We always enjoy Hanbury show, and the boys did us well with 4th for our aged and shearling rams and 1st for our ram lamb! Just hoping for better luck with the girls next weekend at Ashby Show.
