Hope Show was our last for the year so whilst the weather is still decent Michael has got the rest of the lambs sheared, including the three we’ve been showing 🤗

Rather pleased/surprised to come away with 1st for our ram lamb and 3rd for our aged ewe at Hope Show today!

A fantastic show of sheep and a great show in general 😄

Ours has been stolen from the field in the last 24h.

Similar to the one in the picture but has two legs in opposite corners, plus a distinctive yellow back board and black siding panels.

So something a bit different for us 👀 and much to Kirsten's displeasure we now have a Suffolk texel cross ewe from Melton Mowbray Market early breeding sale today.
10 hours of waiting and missing out on sheep that we couldn't quite justify spending the money on I had to come home with something 😅 hopefully she produces nice meaty lambs for us and who knows we might get her some friends 😜 also for the nerdy followers we have, Kirsten recently did a FEC course so here she is testing some of our own flocks samples late last night after a busy day sheeping. 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

It was a warm one at Ashby Show today and we’re very pleased with our results! They were very big and very varied classes.

A proper instagram vs reality moment with the photo after blooming them last night. As calm as it looks, he quickly went back to acting like a toddler having a tantrum on the floor 🫣

2nd show of the year yesterday -

It was a great day and really enjoyed showing alongside other Cheviot breeders! Very pleased with our results too 😄

We might be a month later than we intended to be, but the show sheep have finally been sheared! Bit of a joint effort with Michael Houghton now that he’s walking like a 90 year old 😂
